  • much too fast

  • QUE IGREJA MONUMENTAL É ESSA?

  • @carloseramaral Santa Maria sopra Minerva, in Rome

  • A beautiful song, and a beautiful setting to perform it in (if only I could remember the Church's name!).

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Just Perfect. ( :

  • what church or basilica is that?

  • Happy easter, ¡Felices Pascuas!, Joyeuses Pâques ....

  • Too clipped on the "Jah" -- sounds a little like barking. Since the "Jah" in "Hallelujah" represents the name of God, that's not only musically bad, but theologically so as well.

  • I just love this piece

  • the composer is pretty funny i mean i cracked up:D he put himself into the music if u no wat i mean

  • Mr. Chung's charisma is intoxicating...

  • Italians(?) doing the Hallelujah chorus-- "For they lord God" "and Hey shall reign forever and ever" lol

  • to fast...

  • Is that Mozart's orchestration?

  • @HectorJW2007 I never knew Mozart orchestrated this, but on another note, where's Andrea? This is supposed to be his D.V.D.!!!!

  • Hallelujah for this

  • Wonderfully performed ! Hallelujah ! Glory to God !

  • THIS IS AWESOME

  • The Conductor, Mr Jung, South Korean conductor, one of the best in the world!!!

    WOW, amazing music~~

  • @nickmonkey22 Yes the conductor is asian, korean.

  • Hallelujah !!! My God, my Lord, all man-kind Messiah, the savior. Amen !!

    哈利路亞 !!! 我的上帝,我的主,所有人類 Messiah,救主。 阿門!!

  • hermoso el aleluya de haendel

  • I sing too with my choir - "Hallelujah"

  • Myung - Whun Chung; my favorite conductor!

  • Myung - Whun Chung; my favorite conductor!

  • a rocket hallelujah ! - director was late for dinner...

  • Interesting. This video is most viewed in South Korea. I had no idea that there was a strong Christian population there.

  • @fluff125 there's another reason: the conductor is Korean. (his name is Myung-whun Chung)

  • @slee116 Does he have a cult following?

  • I love the guy looking at the paper at 0:23 as if he might forget the next line XD

  • oh goodness

  • who is the asian?

  • the rapture is coming !

  • the rapture is coming !

  • Excellent. Congratulations.

  • Great peice of music the only bad thing is the religious background. And to dishwasherman jesus wont return because he never existed and nor does god.

  • Love it!

  • I like this version.

  • @kirby163 Me too

  • great!!!

  • i sang with Brewton Parker Colleg chior in Jerusalem in 1976 Messiah with a mass chior, was an awesome experience i will never forget.

  • Trop vite!

  • Hey it too fast

  • ¡Música para el alma!

Me hace pensar en el glorioso Salvador.

  • ABSOLUTAMENTE GENIAL

  • Merry Christmas, 2009! Looking forward to Christ's rule and reign on earth as "King of kings and Lord or lords. ... And He shall reign for ever and ever ... Hallelujah, hallelujah!"

  • Comment removed

  • for some reason everyone does this song at their own tempo lol

  • Fantástico

  • So fast! I doesn't give you time to meditate on the words. It's such a beautiful song that you want to savor every moment of it.

  • That's really nice

  • Très bonne éxècution hélas un peu trop rapide pour mon goût, ce chef promet ? avec l'age perhaps.

  • wow that is fast

  • Too fast...

  • hey, i lack faith too and i still like this song.

  • i sang this when i was a freshman in highschool, its a gorgeous piece, it gives me goosebumps :D

  • I'm an atheist and I still love this song.. in fact I have an appreciation for religious music despite my lack in belief in what they actually might be singing about. Like it or not it's a part of the culture so even when atheists likely become the majority in the future, this music will still be respected for it's beauty.

  • i feel the same way

    im not quite athiest tho

i just dont beleive in god

but i totally get what u mean

i love christmas and the songs about christ

  • The greatest song ever written!

  • who's the conductor?

  • why does it matter who the conductor is? the songs by George Frederick handel if that helps at all

  • I agree with you! God always stays in our heart and and looking for the world forever and ever.

  • no song ...no music..can be better to

    priese our almighty God .....

    where is this church..italia?

  • yes ... it is in Rome. Santa Maria della Minerva ... it is right next to the Pantheon

  • thx...4 ur information...

  • What ever tempo, it's just your own style. Who are we to judge a piece of and for God? This was a great performance as with all the other pieces here on youtube! God Bless!

  • i sounds more exciting when its fast!

  • What does his being Asian have to do with it?

  • @forallyouknow it has everything to do with it.

  • @forallyouknow this is called cross-overs - this kind collbaoration helps people in he world comming closer to each other and understanding each other....it could have been all Native Americans standing there singing Hallelujah! If not for their own sake but in honour to another religion! I think it´s wonderful to see how people come together from different cultures and take parts of each others treasures....in the end we are all born human beings on Planet Earth.

    KP,

    Musicologue à Bordeaux.

  • that gave me a heartattack, no offense.

  • OMG! It's too fast.

  • To fast.

  • Yes it is but I like it! :D

  • i played this cos my cat came home and isnt missing anymore

  • I sung this Hallelujah last december... and I find the tempo is ... a little too fast, but not far from the right tempo (we sung it toooooo slow ! that was horrible ! a little like the one by Helmut Rilling (just the next one ^^))

  • The person who started it off this fast was either on crack, coke, or X

  • Beautiful!!!

Composer George Frideric Handel was born in Germany on February 23 in 1685.

    Happy Birthday to Handel!!!

  • TOO FAST! WHAT THE FLUCK!?

  • OMG!!! o.o

  • not much room for breathing, is there? goodness, poor sopranos.

  • hahaha! this made me laugh haha! i love it fast, but not this fast.

  • haha yeah we sang this in concert choir in highschool recently. it really was amazing.

  • lol the conductor

  • The conductor is hilarious with some of his movements...had me laughing. Love this song though, it's gotta be one of my favorites.

  • well faster than other versions but it does not mean its bad!

  • This is by far the best peice of Handel's work, and seems to me to combine almost all of the avarage church songs into one complete depiction of faith for all Christian faiths

  • ein bisschen zu schnell

  • Ein bisschen? lol

  • Way to fast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good choir but the tempo is too fast

  • PERFECTO!

  • wow...does it really take so many people (choir) to pull this music off?

  • anybody can say which church is?

  • Montreal?

  • nooo they are in italy....

  • this choir is very good. this piece is very hard, and they do it good.

  • not sure... it's a filler act from Andrea Bocelli's DVD

  • Is church ??if is....what church.........good choir.....but it think is too fast.Congratulation!!

  • I agree with you, the tempo is too fast
