  • sometime's,i really feel on-top of thing's and then a fellah come's along ..

     .. bring it on home.

  • i want a standart 08 soo badly but the price of 2100 euros shocked me a little bit... what ever in a few days i might be poor as fuck, but happy! :D the playing is also very nice but id prefer less gain. dunno if its just me^^

  • why are you playing the bass part? wtf

  • WOW!!!!!!!

  • sorry but i'm too used to Jimmy Page...

  • oh my god thank you, couldn't find a reasonable tab for the verses but you do it the best!

  • wow man!

this is olnly the marshall 1987X??!

    your guitar tone is perfect!

  • I just bought a '74 super lead MKII... any suggests for cabs/speakers? Thanks man.

  • im sure u can get this tone without a real gibson lp and a marshall haha, any ideas? i got a real nice epi lp and line6 half stack. sure not amazing amps, but i get great tone outta it ud besuper surprised. i just cannot get that jimmy page tone

  • where can i find those tabs?

  • sweet amp :P

  • awsome!

lesson, lesson please:) or solo tab

  • whats the name of that classical song jimmy plays at around 3:30?

  • @IbanezV70CE Bouree in E Minor

  • Really excellent. I really dig your take on this song and your playing.

  • What Gibson les paul model is that and how much it cost?

  • @thegrunger49 2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard in desert burst. You'll have to check on the current retail prices for that model, they're generally in the neighborhood of $2,000 US

  • Why is this video only showing my views? Awesome cover, mate 5/5. I've watched this cover at least 1000 times in the past 2 years.

  • Great work.... and I want that t-shirt!

  • Haha after the solo bach - bourree cover love it xd

  • Absolutely amazing!! Great job playing what I think is one of the best live versions of this.

  • wooow ,Awesome sounds, have a great talented, thanks to miltonrollingstone for sharing.!!!

  • Could you send me the tab and all the amp setting

    I have a Marshall 30fx

  • Whoa! That's an amazing sound you've gotten out of your equipment. I have 2 questions: 1) Is there anywhere I can find those tabs? 2) I've been playing 3 years with a great little marshall 15 watt from the DM series; what next piece of equipment would you reccommend to take things up to the next level?

  • @brickhouse976 Thanks! 1., I don't have tabs for it, but I learned how to play the solo via video lesson on a site called vanderbilly (dot) com. It's free. The rhythm parts lessons are done by me on there. I was never really able to find accurate tabs for this song, so video lesson is the way to go.

  • @brickhouse976 2. I'm a fan of minimal effects, and like to plug straight in to an amp. Amps will have the biggest effect on tone, so I would upgrade that first. Depending on your goals, you can get a nice small tube amp like an orange tiny terror for not too much money. If you plan to gig live, then you can always step in to something bigger. For me that 50 watt plexi is as loud as I'll ever need. But you can't beat the feel and tone of real tubes.

  • @neosonic66 Wow dude, thanks for such a timely and thorough response! I have the same "less is more" view that you do and don't want too many effects, so I'll take your advice and look into an amp upgrade. I definitely agree that a tube amp is the way to go, so I have one last question for you: What's some good Marshall equipment for that raw classic rock sound, kinda like the sound you've got going in this video?

  • @brickhouse976 If you want Marshall specifically, the best way to go is with a 1987X or a 1959SLP. The 1987x is the 50 watt version, and the 1959 is the 100 watt version. Both are the re-issue of the plexi. The modern marshalls all have 'plexi-like' channels, but if that tone is what you want, go for the plexi reissue itself. The amp on the bottom in the video is a TSL60, and it's crunch channel is supposed to be close, but it can't hold a candle to the 1987X on top of it.

  • @neosonic66 Thanks a lot for the advice bro! Definitely going to look into those amps, keep rockin!

  • hey amazing sound and very good playin. anyway, got the same marshall plexi head and I'm thinking about buying an attenuator too. How's the THD hotplate workin with the 1987X?

  • @countrycocks thanks, the Hotplate has been going strong for several years now with no problems. I use it every single time I use the amplifier with very few exceptions, in fact, I've really only opened that amp up all the way without the attenuator once, just to do it, and it's LOUD. But yeah, no complaints with the hotplate, and still love the amp to death.

  • @neosonic66 I have an advice, try out using a boost, a clean boost that is, try out pedals like bluesbreakers and use it for clean boost, you might not favour pedals(no idea), but i have tried out MXR Custom Badass 78´Distortion and uses it's output knob(it's like a clean boost by doing so), and really the amp starts to crackle up, it feels alot more bigger, it's more sensetive to touch it feels like, and you can really get interresting tones with clean boosts, try it out, it's worth it! :D

  • Wow, nice! But that video right here makes me even more assured NOBODY can play like Page! Talking about feeling and style, ofc.

  • u sir, can play LIKE A GOD

  • hi how are you?

I live in Brazil, here marshall and gibson is very expensive because of import tax, which is 60%, so we can use Chinese equipment, is what we can afford, that your equipment here in Brazil, is the same value as a small car, or more .. so we can not sacrifice so much to have a good equipment ... but the music will always be played, no matter the value .........

  • @3:42 Moby Grape

  • That was amazing your awesome!!!!

  • You sir, are super fucking impressive. That was golden.

  • awesome cover dude (=

  • Nice solo, just as good if not better than original.

  • Lol incredible ur just great :D good job

  • like everything. solo is ok. but hey? who can play THAT solo. good job man

  • that was fucking awesome

  • I must cover.... o.O

  • nice playing i enjoyed! what year is your les paul? what do you recommend standard 2008 or traditional thankss!!

  • Yuk.. u suck

  • @puppiesinspace

    And you're an idiot.

  • That thing must of been loud as hell to break up that much! Or did you put a master on it?

  • @flyhi94 I used a THD Hotplate power attenuator to tame it a little bit

  • This is a truly great cover, and I think it would make Page proud! Keep up the good work dude!

  • dude all i can say is your amazing

  • right on the money.sounds sweet.get in a band dude.sod the bedroom....plus you have the right gear .,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Dude that is awesome! Led Zeppelin is the shit! Blues On Steroids! Rock On!

  • Dude, that's the best one of this I've found on here. I'm not worthy!!

  • Karl Pilkington? But seriously, great job man... one of the better versions I've seen on youtube. Very good!

  • Well done

  • You Rock!!!! u brother is jimi page?

  • see how it sounds like a Telecaster into a Supro amp?

  • why was there a bit of classico in the end of the solo?

  • i have a question. how do you manage to keep the top strings from ringing when you do the two pulloffs really fast (right when you bend the string at the headstock)? i just can't do it!

  • damn

  • Im a noob at guitar and i was wonderiing what amp you have i know its a marshall but you know Thanks

  • @KylesIndividual For this song, I'm using a Marshall 1987X. It's a 50 watt re-issue of the old plexi style heads that marshall used to make in the 60's and 70's.

  • @neosonic66 can you show us how to do the solo? its driving me nuts

  • I know you aren't using it in this video, but is the TSL under your plexi any good?

  • @ruffles272 eh, not that great in my opinion. That particular one broke, and I didn't bother getting it fixed. It tries to be a jack of all trades and is not really that great at any one thing without serious help from other effects. For my high gain needs I now use an ENGL Fireball, and mostly I jam using an eleven rack.

  • Great cover! Les Paul + Marshall = brutal tone, man! How could it be otherwise?

  • Really, really exceptional work.

  • I've got to say I have to disagree with the guy who said you don't have the Jimmy Page feel, great work man! That was really quite awesome!

  • you really nail his tone there, nice playing! may I ask what kind of pickups you use for the tone?

  • great job!

    Rock on

  • Why does everyone play the boring live version of the lead, when Page was super drunk? As Yoda would say, ¨nostalgic, it is, but there is, another Heartbreaker¨. Hey, I give you kudos for getting the over the nut bend right.

  • you have the notes right, and you have the tone, but you don't have the feel. Page was one of the sloppiest guitar players that ever existed, but what made his style acceptable, and so fucking good, was how much feel he put into it.

  • @PeterCRissKISSgod I guess that's why he's Jimmy Page and I play in a bedroom... good thing I don't do this for a living :) But it's still fun for me and I love his music, I'm always striving to play better

  • @neosonic66 Well done, Neo. :) I'm a huge fan of Led Zeppelin and I like your cover very much. Thanks for posting.

    P.S. Ignore the negative comments.

  • @neosonic66 good woords buddy

  • @neosonic66 Your Playing is Fantastic!!! & as far as the above comment from "PeterCRissKISSgod " saying "Page was one of the sloppiest guitar players that ever existed" , I will say thats the True Mark of An Imbecile that speaks such Fluent Horseshit. -Danny Guitar Rogers,Fellow student of the Jimmy Page School of Guitar,Chicago,IL

  • @neosonic66 Happened to come across your work on Led Zeppelin's "Heartbreaker" and a comment from someone who states that you lack feel. Well, neosonic66, from one guitar player to another, I think you play very well. I like your tone. You've obviously put a lot of love and practice in to your playing. I can see in the video that you're having fun, and that's most important. You sound great! By the way, love the Marshall 1987x Plexi. I'm a Fender amp guy, but do appreciate the Marshall.

  • @Teachering Thank you! Your comment is very much appreciated. I think people lose sight of the fact that at the end of the day it's just about having fun and doing what you love. I'm not worried about being 100% accurate, I just enjoy doing it. Thanks for swinging by, take care.

  • @neosonic66

Could you send me the tab of the song which starts at 3:32, I'm really courious and I can't find the tab of this song anywhere.

    Thanks, I'd really appreciate it

  • Try "heartbreaker live tabs"

  • @PeterCRissKISSgod La de dah

  • @PeterCRissKISSgodHey Musician, upload at least one of ur own videos and we'll see who is the talker.

  • Great solo!

  • best of the best nice gob!!!!!

  • OMG OMG OMG 666 likes this song rules

  • OMFG! 666 likes D:

  • you have any tabs, i already know how to play heartbreaker, but i really like jimmy pages type of bouree

  • Have the same poster. \m/

  • how did you manage to connect 2 heads into one cabinet?

  • @AppleChef22 I didn't... I only plug in the one I'm playing.

  • EPIC!

  • @kevmilla if your string detunes when you bend it behind the nut, it could be a function of the quality of your tuning posts, if they're not locking, or not high-quality, they can slip under that kind of force, or I suppose it's possible the strings are worn, or too light of a gauge...

  • This is brilliant! Really well put together! Congrats

  • MIN 2:35 como se hace eso :O ?¿ xD

  • ME KIERO APRENDER ESE SOLO :B !!

  • Beautiful is the best way to describe your playing and tone.

  • nice cover?

  • rockin mother fucker

  • Godly

  • how do you do that bend thing at 2:32?

  • This is truly amazing! doesnt really have that page feel to it(cause i think its not sloppy like his, haha) but still amazing! by the way what are your amp settings on the marshall? like bass mids and treble? i have some zeppelin settings i use but i really like yours!

  • @almostblind21 here are my settings, you might like them

    Drive - 10

    Bass - 10

    Mid - 5

    Treble - 10

    Reverb - 3

  • this is a great version..but is there anyone on the 'net that can show how to play the studio version the right way??

  • Flawless.

  • I actually first heard "Heartbreaker" off of How the West Was Won, so I've always thought the studio version sounded kinda lame.

great video, too. Personally not a big fan of the inverted colors during the solo but it did add a pretty sweet touch.

  • God

  • you have no inspired me to learn this on guitar

  • yeaah!!!

    great

  • sir, i love you.

  • I was looking for a vid. to help me past the basic intro riff. Not much out there past that part . Very seldom do covers of Zep blow me away but this one absolutely DID!!! I can learn alot from this. Nice Work!!!

  • Bad Ass

  • have you ever noticed on the II ver. where it goes da - da - da da ,da, da, ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba on the b's strikes there sounds like the percussion instrument that sounds like coconuts or wood blocks ?

  • really good solo dude

  • holy crap, man. nic3.

  • damn dude thats fucking perfect!

  • Great one check my own solo cover

  • excellent !! job

  • sick

  • i think this is great, love your tone

  • Page > Hendrix.

  • how much it cost? :d

  • Nice cover dude !

  • HOLY CRAP MAN I WANT THAT FREAKIN GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!! nice playing too, their my favorite band!!!!!

  • you can give me the tabs after the intro please

  • @kkppffww Bach - Bouree in Em... page played it in the live version of heartbreaker every now and then, you can hear it on the How the West Was Won live album

  • Is that the 1987x reissue ?

  • @1234Sebster yes sir it is... the only mod I made was to remove a capacitor on one of the inputs, other than that, it's stock

  • Nice job. I love that solo.

  • good job dude

  • that was pretty ill, i liked the part 3:31-3:41

  • can you send the tabs for the last part of the solo (not the sliding part, the finger picking part)

  • awesome cover , the solo part is freakin awesome you played like jimmy live

  • I envy you! that was really good!

  • Thumbs Up Dude; i enjoyed your rendition.

  • ey do you know where i can find the tabs for the solo

  • HOLY SHIT. this is fucking HOLY! what ever you did at 3:31-3:40 sounded badass man! keep on getting the led out!! absolutely amazing!

  • Comment removed

  • I can't bend the G string at the back of the neck, becuase it always tunes itslef up (it sucks, I know)

  • welll done, Laddie

  • damn.. talk about super clean playing... really good job

  • finally, someone that plays the main riff right!

  • what volume do you have your marshall set to, and are you using an attenuator?

  • @ZakkHendrix666 the amp volume is just barely backed off from max, and I'm using a THD hotplate attenuator

  • @neosonic66 Wow. I've got a '73 Marshall 1987 but if I attentuate and have it on 8/9 I've got an insane amount of gain (too much for Zeppelin). Interesting that you've got such a great Woody sound from your reissue. Sounds great!

  • @odgeUK I removed the notorious 'bright cap' as soon as I got the amp. It's the capacitor at C5, that just made the high treble channel break up too early and sounded too bright and thin... Not sure if the original 1987's have a similar cap in the circuit or not, but it's worth looking in to. It's a super easy mod, and quite reversible if you don't like it.

  • @neosonic66 Haha, actually that was one of the first things I did on mine. I think mine was the highest value they did for the Bright cap. Anyway, it must've been fried as it was introducing a terrible hiss which is why I ditched it. I think I'll have a play with some settings. I've been using my Peavey Classic more lately (as it has an FX loop and an amazing clean) so it's time I pulled the JMP back out and explored some lower gain settings :)

  • @odgeUK Thinking about it. Maybe yours is more 'Woody' as it might be based on a late 60's circuit? I notice it looks like it's in a smallbox? So I guess that means it was a reissue of the 1987 pre-1970?

  • Deja Vu, I have the exact same Picture and Frame above my bed behind me... its the same one, holy shit im trippin

  • A very hard solo to figure out. This video has been helpful though. Great playing!

  • that was fucking BRILIANT!!!!!!love it:D ur good man can u pls tell me the lycks from 2.58 to 3.15

  • awesome solo

    very good cover1

  • what model/year is your les paul?

  • @ilikechili 2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Desert Burst. It's one of the chambered models.

  • Well done and well played and forget this rubbish about how you should have played Page's solo note for note. You are not Jimmy Page and you put your own feel and technique into it, so well done. Incidentally even Jimmy Page didn't play the same solo from the studio Heartbreaker ever again.

  • dude. I want your amps. and guitar for that matter. awesome cover.

  • dude I got the exact same guitar....you prob play it better than me though

  • hey man, amazing cover. have you ever tried a 1959slp? im trying to kind of figure out the gain difference between them, but i cant find any videos that show. thanks!

  • like the shirt (cover too)

  • Awesome....really well played....good on you....enjoyed watching :)

  • 3:30 tabs please?? it's my last resort haha

  • Jimmy always changed his solos. So why shouldn't this guy!!!

  • Sick
