  • tit for tat. Conyers has been in Congress since 1965 -longer than Gupta or Obama has been alive. Dr. Gupta should point that out. Congressional term limits is progressive.

  • We'll go for some type of Universal Healthcare proposal, maybe expand a little along the Medicaid/Medicare front, but as for single-payer, foregone conclusion, we will not see that in this administration or the foreseeable future. Barring a huge collapse of the whole industry we will be stuck working around the same ideology we have been for decades now. Best we can do is fight for single-payer and take what we can get in the interim.

  • Gupta appointment for Surgeon General is out of the question after he trashed Michael Moore and Sicko. Single Payer is the only way for the United States to go.

  • Don't hold your breath for that to happen. Single-payer is the way to go, but in our system with our politicians it's a nonstarter.

  • bill, you could be right, but I hope your wrong. I hope Americans won't be hoodwinked by promises from republicans and insurances companies and stand up like we did for Social Security so it wouldnt be privatized. Health care should be something we all have not just because you have you have a job that provides it or you can afford it.

  • Sanjay Gupta should get the Congressional Indian Caucus to back him.

  • Michael Moore posted this on his YT site during that fiasco:

Mike demands an apology from CNN for Dr. Sanjay Gupta's biased reporting on 'SiCKO' and for helping the Bush administration lie us into a pointless war.
