  • Siberian khatru at the end??? :)

  • @LOL4618 yup. :)

  • Chris, I do love your versions of And you and I ! I've recognised in the first part : "I' ve seen all good people" ans "Heart of the sunrise" included and in the end of the third part : "Siberian khatru".Is that right?

I think that you are the gratest fan of yes I've ever seen! And a very good musician too, with an incredible ear !

    Many thantks again !

    Phil dM.

  • @PhilippedM59 Thanks, PhilippedM59! You got the songs right, but you missed an excerpt from Time and a Word in AYAI part 1 video. :) Thanks for the kind words!

  • hi chris

I love this song, it sounds great

you should try do it a complete version like your other videos, it will be amazing!!

  • @razorblade393 Thanks for the comment, razorblade393. That could happen one day, who knows. This video was really my first multi instrumental video, not including the close to the edge excerpt which was actually my first multi-track video with 2 guitars.

  • fantastic!!!

  • omg, im actually begging for a tab for that bit 0:41 til 2:37

  • @rockcrazyme I spent a couple days watching his fingers and trying to tab out what he was playing. I haven't gotten very far at all but if you have guitarpro5 I could email you what I've figured out.

  • One of my favs, great job man !

  • thank you so much splitting man, good job.

  • awesome , master of the guitars you are brilliant, thanks once again, i´d like to play as you.

  • What program do you use to put all the vids together and mix theme

  • N-track studio for the audio, and Ulead Video Studio for the video.

  • Hey Chris, loved the Mike OIdfield sounding guitar! Another Gem, thanks.

  • I think what you did here is amazing, but I must say that I think the lead guitar sounded too 'mechanical'. You always play with such feeling, but I understand that you were playing in time with the other parts. Perhaps if the lead guitar was the last part, it would've sounded better. Still. I love watching your videos Chris. Here's hoping you play some King Crimson sometime

  • amazing

  • Ohhhh!!! demonios!! las 3 partes estan geniales... muy buen trabajo...

  • Nice! do you have tabs for the end part? ive been trying to figure out the ending of the song ("and you and i climbed over the sea to the valley...") for so long now, all we have tabs are for the first couple minutes.

  • I like your ending, Siberian Khatru, Another Great! Great Job!

  • Excellent cover version. You took a great song and made it different. Truly enjoyable.

And as usual, top notch video editing and sound quality. YouTube is Broadcast Yourself. Given that, the rating is easy.

    5 Stars

  • Ok, so by the time you get the keyboard going you are just showing off. :)

    You are awesome! Great cover!

  • nice Siberian outro!

  • you could fill in for steve.

  • Excellent once again, Chris. :-) I don't know how I missed this one. Rob (luvyesmusic from yesfans)

  • very nice- that stuff is hard to play very complex..and you nailed all the parts.

but I didn see the pedal steel part- oh well those instruments are around $2500 I think..

truly inspirational tho...do you play in a band ?/

  • I love the little Siberian Khatru at the end!!!

  • Unbelievable

  • Amazing..once again! I have an internet buddy, "Miguelbass" who is a HUGE Yes fan who plays bass. Last I talked to him, he mentioned about putting something together with people on-line. I'll mention you...

  • thanks again, Tama12pc.

  • hi where doyou put your fingers as of 00.36?

    is this standad tuning?

    thanks

  • Hi Chris, I'm from Brazil!

You have real talent, thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for the compliment, arthurphrain!

  • Chris-Sweet!!

  • thanks, stymiepop!

  • This is awesome. Where did you learn the guitar part starting at :36? ANy help would be much appreciated.

  • This is awesome. For the guitar part that starts at :36, did you learn it by ear? I've been looking for tabs for that forever and it's nowhere to be found. Thanks for any help.

  • I beleive there are tabs available, but I couldn't tell you where. It's been a while, but I think I learned this from watching Steve Howe's CD-Rom, released in the 90's. I don't think it's available any more. I couldn't find it, not even on E-Bay.

  • you have big eye holes

  • you got to be kidding me chris...i hate you..frigen awsome ..gaff

  • Hey Hockeys. Please don't hate me. :( :)

  • you are great. awesome technique. What musical fields do you study in? Classical and jazz I assume.

  • Thank you. I love all kinds of music, from classical to hard rock. (other than rap) I don't really 'study' any particular kind of music. If it sounds good I listen to it, if it really inspires me I want to learn it.

  • awesome. You've never taken lessons? I have taken a few lessons but mostly play the same way, learning the things that I need to play. I would be surprised if you haven't had a lick of training. Well, props to good old fashioned grit and hard work.

  • great job gents

  • only one gent. :) Thanks

  • Oops sorry guess you look differnt from that angle when playing electric guitar .Checked out your other videos.Excellent job M8

  • HA! Loved the quick Siberian khatru intro too! Great job buddy.

  • I'd be happy to be your drummer.

  • What a splendid version!!!

You should really clone yourself and start a band. I'd love to hear this live!

  • sugee!Thank you!

  • Wow, it really worth the wait. It must have been quite a labor to put all this together. I love those harmonics when you enter with the electric guitar. Terrific work Chris!

  • Saw Steve in Milwaukee last year. He's so awesome, huh? Guys, this is Chris' own work. He's taken the great tunes and made them his own. Great job man!
