  • Omg, I hate that Leandra died ; -; I was so sad, it was such a Plot twist, I lost my brother in teh Deep roads, and all I have is my uncle NOOOO ; -;

  • This is why I love DA2. In Origins, you just went about solving every other Races problems like the outcome of Who got the Dwarven throne, or whether or not the Circle was annuled and they didn't really have an effect on you. Your companions weren't as entertaining, and the only reason they're helping you is to stop the blight

In 2, the outcome of main quests have an effect on you specifically, either right there or down the road, and your companions are friends, not timely allies.

  • Amell family FTW

  • *Bawls & Does air violin*

  • This song is the only thing I liked about this game.

  • where would someone get this soundtrack cd?

  • Ezio family is better :D

  • @AntCorporation Cousland family is the best :D

  • Wow,All Leandra wanted was to let her children be safe and sound. She gets furious when Carver/Bethany dies. Its a mother's instinct to care for her children. And folks give her piss for it,really. Too bad she died to lowly scum however. Not even Anders could save her T_T

  • I shouldve killed the bastard...Fell for his trick. :s

  • Wish they'd put this on Steam like Origins... Oh well, off to mass effect I go!

  • SPOILER SPOILER you can kick my butt steal from me burn my house down kill my friend. but if you touch my family........ ITS ON!

  • Why oh why didnt bioware create a option to save mom TT___TT

  • If anyone knows where to get piano sheets for this piece, please respond/PM me :) My life depends on it.

  • i was so mad when leandra died...started choosing really angry choices to reflect how i felt :P no mercy for the effed up mage D:

  • beautiful

  • You know that sound you get when you've just completed a quest? Can anyone tell me what it's called, I really want it as my sms tone or whatever you call it!

  • Even if DA:O was better...this is still an epic game!

  • @AuroraAngelful

The way it ended with leliana and the all the hints throughout the game of DA3 being set in Orlais made me excited. A bit of effort into the gfx engine and the detail of DA:O and DA3 will be amazing.

DA2 seemed rushed with recycled areas and no real lore of items and customisation.

  • @TigerMilitia What happens when you only get 2 years of development time as opposed to the 5 years given to DA:Origins.

  • @LuckySharm a pile of crap

  • It's very sad especially when your Hawke looses both his/her siblings and then his mother Leandra. Loosing Bethany/Carver to the Ogre in the beginning, and then losing either of them through your journey in the deep roads really hurts inside.

Then later when you find out that your mother dies.....your at a breaking point.

  • @hungryhippo247 If you don't take your sibling with you into the deep roads he'she goes to the circle. Carver becomes a Templar. Also if you bring Anders with you to the deep roads your sibling can become a Grey Warden.

I noticed that you used the word "your" when "you're" was most probably the word you wanted. The word "your" showing possession doesn't make sense in the place I am referring to but, the word "you're" being a contraction of the words "you" and "are" would.

  • Can't decide which is better. This or Ezio's Family theme.

  • @Supergodzilla118 Ezio's of course

  • inon zur is the same that made the fallout ost?

  • @matawin2 and the first dragon age game

  • @matawin2 That's right. Same guy.

  • Im left with carver and a gimp of an uncle

  • @TurboTsunam1 I'm left with Bethany, so my situation is slightly better... XD

  • @legendarycupcake ezio's of course

  • Thumbs up if U cried when Leandra Died.

  • @CheesieSquirrel and down if you didn t cried

  • @CheesieSquirrel Oh for fucks sake -_- I need to stop reading the comments before finishing the game

  • @Akugagi She doesn't die at the end of the game. XP But someone does, that's not a spoiler... I hope. XP P.S. None of your Companions die tho.

  • @CheesieSquirrel Oh man you just made it worse lol

  • @Akugagi D: SHIT sorry. XP I'll shut up now.

  • @CheesieSquirrel Ok well I so didn't expect the death to happen in a scene like that lol, surprised me :p

  • Leandra ='(

  • Damn it...that fucking Necromancer paid dearly for killing my mother...I mean Hawke's mother. I actually nearly cried when she (spoiler) died. I liked mages and hated that they were prejudiced against but after that I could see why people also hated them so much...I mean even the head mage resorted to blood magic at the end, which was fucking retarded of him. :Sigh: then theres the whole blood magic debate on whether it's good or not...I view it like the force it depends on how you use it.

  • One of the best games made.

    Again..by who..BioWare corp :')

  • @TheJedimaster6788

They just needed to spend more time on the maps; if I'm going to pay 50-60 bucks for the game, then another 50 for all the DLC, the could at least make sure you're not going through a different iteration of the exact same map 6 different times.

Other than that, I full-heartedly agree.

  • I wish I could have saved Leandra.

  • You know you're fucked if you're a Hawke.

  • Im finished da2 yesterday :-)

  • Unfortunately I didn't grief for Leandra or Bethany in DA 2 because I thought the narration was poorly done. Now don't go saying I don't have feelings because I cried a shitload of times during the Metal Gear series. But DA 2 unfortunately didn't have the same narrative goodness of DA:O which is sad because it could have been one of the greatest RPGs of all time along with DA:O, FF, Xenogears and The Witcher.

  • 4 people have Join the DARK SPAWN! KILL THEM!!!

  • When I saw what that bastard Necromancer did to Leandra, the only thing I could think of was this, "I Will Sodding Kill You!", but afterword when I saw her die in Hawke's (my) arms, I felt a warm tear run down my cheek when I thought of my own mother...

Not sence Renden Howe had I truthfully wanted to kill someone in the DA serise, and in the end of my (Warden/Hawke) revenge, I felt empty because of my anger and rage. Great Work Bioware, and Keep 'em Comming.

  • I know lots of people dont like this game but i REALLY cant see why its absolutly Amazing!

  • Inon Zur, I love you. Period.

<3 Best soundtracks in any game I have ever played :)

  • Wait, people actuallyenjoyed DA2 and found it immersive? What?

  • @tauwilltriumph OMG! Someone has a different opinion, what a shocker!

  • @Dimensionaluk There is no such thing as an opinion when it comes to Dragon Age II.

  • @tauwilltriumph Thanks for sharing your opinion.

  • @Dimensionaluk You are using flawed logic and burnt-out tongues, boy.

  • @tauwilltriumph Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man

  • @Dimensionaluk More like an objective statement, Dude.

  • @tauwilltriumph Shut up, you Darkspawn scum.Enjoy the music, if you still have one of your rotting ears.

  • @martin866814 How can you possibly mistake a dwarf for darkspawn? By the Stone, I find that racist, you disgusting human trash!

  • @tauwilltriumph Pfft, grow up.

  • "Bethany, Carver, mother... I may be Kirkwall's champion, but what is a hero who couldn't save his own family? I'm sorry. One day we'll be reunited together, for only time keeps us apart"-

This is part of the epilogue i wanted for my Hawke

  • Dragon Age 2 was a mess. It's Inon Zur I feeling sorry for.

  • I cried when Leandra died. I'm not ashamed, but I feel like I should be.

  • @countrymusicgirl71 hum... this is a game i dont think thats huh.. nevermind

  • @countrymusicgirl71 its ok :) yuo are a girl ^_^

  • @countrymusicgirl71 You should never feel ashamed if something moves you. To some people its still strange to cry during a video game but regardless of where it comes from a good story is a good story.

  • @countrymusicgirl71 dont worry i cried too. it really upset me. i couldn't stop imagining my real mother in that situation which made it worse.

  • @countrymusicgirl71 It's even more emotional when bethany dies before.

  • @countrymusicgirl71 Why would you be ashamed? That's like saying you'd be ashamed of crying at your own mother's funeral. Tears are nothing to be ashamed of...

  • @countrymusicgirl71 yeah, it was twisted imo sad nonetheless lol

  • this song is so great, it makes me want to eat tacos :D

  • This song makes me feel happy and sad at the same time, can't explain it.

  • when i heard this song, i feel like in a good mood.. dont know why, but it feel like powerfull or something like this ^^.

  • Why the hell is there a dislike button on this?! can somebody explain it to me?

  • this song is a masterpiece

  • this song is so sad... its like prediciting all that will happen

  • this song is so sad... its like prediciting all that will happen

  • @themusicofmyshadow We call it "foreshadowing" in fiction.

  • @themusicofmyshadow I totally agree with you. It has sort of this cozy feeling, this feeling of being protected and that someone is caring for you, but at the same moment it's very sad. Everytime i listen to this song i see this particular scene in act 2, when you found out what the killer did.

  • @ElT0mat0 yes, I also remeber that scene, and I imagine Hawke thinking in the end all he/she went through and how it all affected the family, basically separating them one way or another

  • @87Timbuktu Ehm...you mean "he/she struggled" & "his/her life"

  • @TheWitchking123 fem hawke ftw !! coming from a guy

  • @cacharadoninwurm DA:O or DA 2 a female, just easier to look at xD

  • There are now two idiots in the world. And 191 awesome people/ :P

  • @87Timbuktu He is human :)

  • I hear...traces of the NwN theme at 0:20. O_o

  • this song makes me wanna play zelda :)

  • This game's music is amazing, can't fault that. Inon Zur did an amazing job given the time restrictions he had

  • wow 162 vs 1.....i wouldnt want to be that person *gives like* XD

  • Inon Zur, probably the greatest composer for game music alive today!

  • Merrill mai waifu :3

  • @Vylvan haha i chose Merrill too. she's just so awesome. =)

  • @cerberuscore7 Merill was so naive that i couldnt resist. ^^

  • lol ur such sappy people no offence

  • lol shouldn't have brought carver to the deep roads.

  • @Dan1104xv I'd rather have him die in the Deep Roads like a Hero than *SPOILER* seeing him become a wretched Templar. -.- P.S I was a mage so yeah. :P

  • This Great Music's touching my heart and soul.

  • Comment removed

  • This is my favourite.

  • same guy who done fallout 3 soundtrack....thats why its so good

  • in my playthrough hawke's whole family dies. its really sad. what is fame and power without the ones you love. great song BTW

  • It's nice to see 0 dislikes for such great music.

  • I kept thinking when this song came up: "If this song wasn't playing, I would slap the mess out of you, Carver."

  • @CMBeast09 Agreed. Carvers SUCH a bitch in that game. Seriously, go a warrior or a rogue, and you just thank GOD you don't have to deal with his dumb ass. XD

  • @AlucardHellsing97 well if you make him join the Grey Wardens he'll get some brain in the end :D

  • @hawkins347 Grey Warden or Templar, he will come to your rescue in the end. But I think I prefer the Grey Warden.

  • @ApprenticeofTime he does, but he's remains an ass as a templar none the less

  • Interesting story, incredible characters, complex relationships. Disappointing everything else.

It's frustrating and amazing at the same time when a company can create a game that's mediocre at best, but you want to play it because of it's damn characters and plot...

  • @xcnugget Exactly my feelings.

  • This theme is really beautiful because it actually evokes serious emotion in me. I think of my own family when I hear this.

  • What makes a game good? That's easy, it just need's to be fun to play. But what makes a game excellent? It's not the graphics, or how tactical you can manage a fight. It's the characters. If you can feel with your characters, if you are emotionally immersed, then it's excellent.

in DA2, i wasn't playing Hawke, i WAS Hawke. I did not cry over Bethany (because, it was just a few minutes into the game), but i cried over Leandra and i'm glad that Carver could pursue his dreams of becoming a templar

  • @ElT0mat0 you are sooo right, in this game i feel it the same thing, like i was realllyy Hawk, this is just an amazing game, if you wanna make your awn story.

  • @ElT0mat0 This is something which i thought that noone was thinking except me. I got a rogue and i like all of the characters (Bethany,Isabela,Varric,Anders,Fenris,Leandra) and i liked the opponents (Arishok,Meredith,Orsino). I hope DA3 you are gonna be Hawke with the same companions. Imagine if you start a game with inly your love (as Varric says) and be in a world where Templars fight Mages as the Blight comes and throughout your adventure you meet your previous companions.

  • @STRATOSR21 hrm nah it wouldn't be fun if it was the same characters... it needs new spice, so to speak... I'd love it if it was a game about a mage running from the circle, the way he/she must choose whom to trust and whom not to trust, how to hide their identity e.t.c.... coz let's face it, it won't be easy to live as a mage after Anders' little show-off at the end of DA2... Anders is my favourite throughout the games!

  • @ElT0mat0 FFFFAAAAAAAAAAAG

  • @ElT0mat0

I think what makes an excellent game is the mood in general. The mood can be set anywhere, like the characters and changeable storyline of the Dragon Age games. Or in a specific storyline and setting like Red Dead Redemption. Others set the mood in boss battles or combat, like the Monster Hunter series or Shadow of the Colossus. It's kind of like looking paintings that are controlled by the player and each one has a different point of interest.

  • @ElT0mat0 heck yeah man...'moms' death was sad

  • @ElT0mat0 My Carver died because I took him with me to the deep roads... :( :( :(

  • @ElT0mat0 You bloody spoiler...

  • @Drekey22 you have multiple different paths to choose. That is just one of them. And it does not necessarily need to happen.

  • @ElT0mat0 when when does bethany ever die in the beginning. i played the game through a couple times and carver always died. and with hawkes mother that was just extremely sad i couldnt believe it

  • @paulkrules1 You need to play a mage, for beth to die.

  • @ElT0mat0 dude your 100% right thats what makes DA2 amazing it gets you emotionally involved :)

  • @ElT0mat0 i think the way you descripe it , XD you might like visual novels

  • I play this song on loop last weekend when I was tidying my room up, washing dishes, hanging laundries, cleaning the bathroom....it felt....appropriate.

  • One of the saddest damn games I have ever played

  • guys, do you notice something below the wings of the dragon ? i think they're characters from the game. they're difficult to name though.

  • @creepyboomer They are difficult to name because all of the faces randomize every time you make a new game.

  • Comment removed

  • You know you play a good game when you start missing virtual characters.

    Bethany, Mother... I'm sorry I couldn't save you. :'(

  • @Thandran The game should have gave you more options than that. The story actually pissed me off.

  • @HysteriaXHF

Why? Because you couldn't save the mother? That's the point of that quest. Sometimes, there isn't a third option that will deliver a happy ending. Giving a way out of tragic consequences at every turn is insipid at best.

  • Maker forgive me i love this game more then an ordenary gamer...

  • in my game, the whole family is dead, this song depresses me :C

  • @ImblueLol How?

  • i got it

  • Too bad DA 1 was better

  • This song brings the sad memory of when mother dies.... Miss her soo much. Too much for a character in a xbox/pc/ps3 game. :'(

  • @AzshLovesMR I know what you mean why mother had to die that way shes a beautiful woman to her soul...

  • Love it...I could just close my eyes and picture myself as Hawke returning home. mother Hawke welcomes me, Bodahn telling me that all the cleaning's been done and no messages to report, Sandal's still going on and on with his "Enchantments.", greeted by my mabari with it's happy barks and short waggly tail, and finally...my sweet, adorable and lovely Merrill standing there greeting "Welcome home, Ma'vhenan."

  • @04132 I love merril too isabela was not the one...

  • @AlienTekProductions Merrill is just perfect. She's always so cheerful and talkative. She's adorable when she tells herself to shut up when she's babbling. I just love her.

  • @04132 I hope she dosent die on DA3 i wont forgive the game then but year i love how she babbles it is adorible....

  • this song is sad

    still epic

it really fit that moment in the deep roads with beth/carver

  • If I were to express my opinion of Dragon Age 2 in food flavors i'd say that it's "mild" unlike Dragon Age: Origins which was "spicy" and "hot". I'd say that if it were any other company (save obsidian and bethesda) the game would have been extraordinary however since it's BioWare than the game is either around or below a bit average if compared to Origins. And the simple enough reason is that BioWare has set a high bar for itself when it comes to making games.

  • @fat55warcraft it does

  • @CdubTheSadist T'is very beautiful isnt it? I still prefer Leliana's though

  • And now I feel depressed for my Hawke, Beth, Carver...hell it just seems like the entire family, both Hawke and Amell just can't catch a break no matter what happens.

  • Trés belle musique.. Elle me donne envie de pleurer T_T

  • is this the music you hear while at your place? so sad .. especially after anders moved in and he didnt want to talk all the time like in origins' romance each level up

  • @fluffyzhangfei

if that's how you perceive every dialogue encounters, then don't play the game. Bioware games aren't made for idiots.

  • @Shotgunshit

I actually said they still make great games.

if you perceive every person who disagrees with the completely wrong common opinion that bioware makes flawless stories, then don't bother talking.

comments weren't made for fanboy rage.

  • @fluffyzhangfei lolwut their stories kick-ass compared to most other games

  • @fluffyzhangfei Yeah.. you're an idiot. I'll bet you tend to call anyone who disagrees with you a fanboy. You better give up, since few people would go as far as you would to embarrass yourself.

  • @Davmoran1

no just people who are, like you. and what, calling a person who doesn't like the same things as you an idiot is any better? actually not true, you are right now. though you're at least a little more cowardly about it, since i am saying the truth about them on one of their videos, so most people who come here will be fanboys.

and also..give up at what? all i wanted to do was say the truth..which i did. maybe you should give up on denying it, silly man.

  • Hey, guess what? there are currently 0 idiots in the world

  • @sotospithis theres 1 now O:

  • @sotospithis well..there is actually 1...

  • @sotospithis Sadly, there is one now...

  • @YamiYunoko There's two now :(

  • @sotospithis No, there's two now.

  • @sotospithis lol the "idiots" would most likely not care about this audio to begin with, which is why only 2 has disliked this so far... But that doesn't mean they're idiots, it just means they have a different taste from you and I ;)

  • @Namantos Which makes them idiots ;-)

  • @sotospithis And now there 2. Great. T_T

  • @sotospithis damn, you jinxed it... :'(
