I would have taken hwy 1 the whole way. You missed all the fun and beauty, like Half Moon Bay, Humbolt, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Big Sur, Ocean Beach in San Diego. You took the worst possible route, but you're still really super beautiful, so you can go where ever you want.

Wow! That's a heck of a road trip! Was the car good on the highway? What kind of highway mileage did it get?

The car was amazing for a road trip drive. I averaged 39.5 mpg on the way down and was at 38.5 mpg on the way back up.

It cost me nothing, Ford paid for gas, so I didn't even keep track, and I put just under 3,000 miles on the car!

I didn't spot your Ford Fiesta, but, there really wasn't much chance of it anyway. Did you take a leisurely scenic route? or the quick route (excluding LA, of course)?

I just make certain I have some tunes and that the heating and cooling works in the car. If so I'm all set. I can sit in traffic for as long as it takes.

That sucks that LA traffic is slow but there is really no public transportation either so that must be loads of fun, I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if rush hour traffic is carefully avoided.
