The beautiful touch, to me, is that with a whole auditorium full of dupes, several will almost certainly rub their keys and discover one has bent. Of course! Can you swear none of your keys on the hook or in the box down the hall is bent a bit? Without looking? Chances are fairly good you did bend one in a sticky lock and never noticed it.

BTW, the quickest way to bend a key is to poke it into the hole on another key and use the second as a lever. Easy if you're given a ring of keys. 8-)

I am fascinated by the depth of peoples skepticism. People will go to great lengths to rationalize whatever fits in with their beliefs. You people have too much invested in your view of reality to be able to hear what someone like me would say to you. It is just like trying to explain to a Christian that god is probably a figment of the imagination. You are just as stuck as a Christian, only in the opposite direction. Delusion is a game humans love to play.

Wow, the Uri must be damn strong to be able to bend keys with no effort, or the keys in Europe are very soft. Randi, just like a Christian, starts with a belief and grasps at whatever he can to reinforce that belief while ignoring anything that contradicts his pre ordained belief.

All it takes is knowing where the key's weakest spot is, namely where the blade meets the bow. Strong fingers help too. Uri is a sham artist.

Actually morons aren't that easy to fool. The look for the obvious answers. Such as when a magician makes a coin vanish. They know to look at the wrong hand. The smarter a person is the easier they are to fool. Hence some scientists not knowing how to Geller proof the tests.
