my Dad saw Duncan Edwards play many times . he has told me that Edwards was the greatest player he ever saw playing for Manchester United . of course it is impossible to compare players from Edwards era to the players of today . the game is totally different . it would have been great to see how the busby babes team would have progressed had the tragic events at Munich never happened .

My grandads brother played for preston then man city at the time of the beginning of edwards career, without a shadow of a doubt he rated him with no superiors, outstanding and frighteningly powerful, this a close relative who lived thru matthews, finney, charlton, best, dalglish, pele, di stefano, maradona era, edwards was awesome, enough said, end of to these doubters!

This stuff about Edwards (who was obviously a well-like, decent player) is all part of Man Utd plc club branding. Let me guess: did you have to buy this video in a shop? Thought so. More cash in the bank for Man Utd.

Bobby charlton was one of the best players in the world, and he admitted Duncan was alot better. He must of been so good! I never got to watch him :(

We who saw him know the truth .... and believe me... that is not exagerated in any way whatsoever..... without doubt he's the MOST COMPLETE player that has ever pulled on a Manchester United shirt. That's not sentiment talking, nor is it me with my own bias...... but you only have to talk to people who saw him, played with, and against him, and he is recognised by them as the greatest. Never a doubt in my mind.

@thetoon99 Both two players whose attitude both on and off the pitch puts people like Rooney and all to shame!. My Dad saw John Charles play at the end of his carear when he played for Hereford and said that he was beyond human even at that age.
