Did anyone read the blurb on the front page of yesterday's USAToday about how CEOs are actually reaming out the little people even more via gargantuan pay hikes? It's TOTALLY evil what these pigs are doing with with their board cronies by voting themselves fat bonuses and benefits and stock options and golden parachutes, etc!
I would love to see some of these "commie" Wall Streeters start hurling these pigs through the windows of their fancy offices, as only violence will change the status quo!
mrfrednoname , thats the point i was making when i said their governments got stupid with their people. genocide is not a way for governments to stay in power. as soon as our government finds a way to justify the "reeducation" of all the protesters across the nation they will try. the comparison i was making was not a positive one.
Ask for a tax on the Stock-markets, for if we Tax the Stock-markets of the world and tax them right, the money will flow back to the communities that worked hard to make this money in the first place.
It would not be such a free-trading stock-exchange system as we know it, yet that is where the money has gone, and that is how you get it back.
If Obama lead and the world followed, making every exchange of every stock, in every country taxable by the governments.
If the gov't really belongs to the people, then it's like a child belongs that to a parent. We can't let our child run around the store (world) destroying it, harassing people, doing things we don't approve. It seems now though, the child is controlling the parent, and the parent fears the child.
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can... glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. - Apple Inc. (short version)
The Idea is to limit goverment so we dont have to pay taxes. Then wall street wouldnt get money for free. they would have to earn it. They would have to compete like the rest of us. That would mean they have to create jobs. No more goverment hand outs because the goverment wouldnt have the money. we would
@landscapewizard08081 Wall street has never created jobs, they just supply the money to companies that need it to create more jobs. So shutting down wall street wouldn't create jobs, it will kill the money supply needed to create jobs and even keep jobs already existing.
@mrfrednoname The money is being moved, i don't know if you know this but last month the stock market had 73% volume that was done by computers with machines on the market floor, that make money on both sides of a trade, the fed is owned by banks and so is all the other fed reserves in the other citys, the board is picked by the local banks, that is where the power comes from. Also not one person was put in jail and Europe is about to collapse, so it is going to fail anyway, it is the beginning.
@mrfrednoname Im not talking about shutting wallstreet down. Im talking about shutting the machine(goverment alias irs) that keeps giving them mine and your hard earned money
@mrfrednoname hardly anyone wants to shut down wall street, they want the banks to start reforming and people to be thrown in jail, the problem is they are te very gate keepers of the system that make the laws, so that won't happen without protest and pressure, that is exactly what these people are doing, either that or enjoy the end of the dollar and the fall of Europe and the debt crisis and do nothing, the people will lose everything, the banks will transfer the remaining assets of the poor.
@landscapewizard08081 why should te banksters get 0% loans from us (US taxpayers) and not have to pay taxes nor pay 21% the way they charge us? because lobbying should be illegal.
@landscapewizard08081 . great point. if the nation found some unity against the feds then we could simply stop paying them. the whole concept of paying someone to tell me how to live sucks, especially when the people getting paid have a higher quality of life.
@zombies8u I think if you believe in the left and right, alot of people from many different backgrounds will join in as they see there money disappear because the banks failed everyone and so did the government, the fall of Europe and the U.S are bascally going to happen because of the 600 trillion dollars of funny money the banks created because of there own greed, it is not the people on the streets that caused the fall of the whole economy, that was the banks fault
yeah thaqt's right they don't care about rules...just like thomas edison said, "HELL THERE ARE NO RULES HERE WE'RE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING." think difffffffernt, like steve jobs puts forward. and oh the famous rule breakers and founding fathers didnt know how to protest either...damn tories posting all over here...err i mean banana republicans (tory 2.0)
Keep going!!! I got a 5 day weekend coming. I'm coming in 2 weeks if I can. Everyone needs to use there vacation times from work and if your looking for a job go to your nearest protest and spread the word in the meantime that just because your unemployed your exhausted of being depressed and stressed about your finances and the complete feeling of helplessness. Well we can do something. 1 by 1.
@jokerxxx74 You are soooo right my friend. The only difference is that they're gonna pull out all the stops for us, . Think about it... This is America. It's not going to be as easy as it was over there, so I'm sure they're saving something really good for when WE start to get uppity. If they try and say we have to defend ourselves from aliens, don't listen to a word of it.
The governments did indeed make some stupid moves but the people should have not let it happen in the first place. There needs to be political reform world wide, the current systems we use are old and out dated. The role of government needs to be reverted to what it was designed to be. Lets live in a world where people come first. Going to school and being conditioned to be a 'productive' worker 5 days/week is economic slavery, lets have some purpose and love behind our societies.
@jokerxxx74 Comparing the Occupy Wall Street protests to the revolution in Libya is ignorant. The people of Libya are fighting to end a dictator's regime, to end human rights violations and to end extreme poverty. OWS is NOTHING like the Libyan revolution. Educate yourself before you speak such complete and utter nonsense.

What exactly do these people want?
kenbo63 4 months ago
@kenbo63 the point that is pressing the most seems to be:
End to corruption / the democracy back from the corp (depend on how you will put it)
and equality, witch would count for healthcare jobs, higher taxes on the rich etc.
(cannot speak for every one but that is the impression I get for the movment, after following it closely for a couple of weeks)

@monkeyjoe9 no you are right, corporations influence on goverments, doesn't always go thou corruption,
lobbies is a huge problem as well and aren't "real" corruption (but at least as bad)
