Is it seriously not easier to just prussick and have an ascender on the end of the cordolette down to your belay loop, or sorry tied of with a sling. ooop you might bight a figure 8 or butterfly knot the cord and actually climb using the ascender or in a worst case scenario the prussick loop itself. So many names for the same shite...oh and when is it easier to tie all of this off the main rope???? Guys n gals if you don't know what you are doing go and learn via a proper team..
Whatever you are comfortable with.... I tied mine a bit longer....I tend to operate on my gut instinct rather than strictly textbook knowledge. BTW I used mine the other day while climbing and really liked the adjustability at belay stations.(Backed up with a clove on the climbing rope of course)
@JasonChinchen I disagree. Isn't a tail 4-6x the rope diameter suggtested. For 1/2" rope that means you really only need a 2 or 3 inch tail. This particular sling was made with 8mm cord, so you could go a lot shorter on the tails.
I dont think I would go through the hassle of this for acceding, but it works great in place of a daisy chain. auto adjusts.

Looks like you should have the double-fisherman's bend as close to the very end as possible so you can maximize your adjustability.

I would suggest slightly longer tails on your fishermans for safety reasons....
