• Simon's awesome. One of my favorite naturalists. =)

  • It must be awesome to be an animal, woth the family all day and hunt and have fun. No need to worry about financial stuff money etc. Just live life and be happy with your Fam and Friends... Ohw how happy id be :)

  • @sweetcrook

Until you get eaten by a predator sneaking up behind you, fall into a ditch and break a bone, get infected by ticks sucking out your blood.

Or just get outcasted for some unknown reason by your fellow animals.

All I'm saying is tere is a dark side to everything, especially to wildlife.

  • @DigitalGame18 i know of course I am aware of that.-_-.

All I am trying to say is being like an animal in the wildlife is way better that being in this society with all this hat and corruption. Thats why I cherish the wildlife and the nature, if I would be an animal and die or get out casted, of course you will be sad but its the Natural process ;).

Bless Mother nature and the people Namaste.

  • @sweetcrook humans, cant live with em, but you couldn't live without them eh?

  • @treevsy of course we can live with the animals...We are part of Nature so every living being is here for a purpose and has its own specific role in nature.

  • @sweetcrook i hear you and on that note i totaly agree.

  • omfg, cutest thing EVER!

  • i love how the babies are all looking at him like" huh, i wonder what this creature is" *sniff* sniff*

  • What amazing animals, great 6 part series.

  • So adorable! Awww

  • I'm getting tired of the denialists. Those who are so afraid to associate any emotion with animals hence they be regarded as anthropromorphic. We have emotion, we are animals. It is not a great scientific stretch to contemplate the existence of such in other mammal species.

  • @Trips1103

Very true. Study of groups of very social animals (eg, elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees, and wolves) over extended periods of time, has often shown that they display a wide range of emotions..... particularly joy, grief, anger, and fear. Many young animals also show curiosity and confusion.

  • @Trips1103 - sure. Darwin published a book on the subject: "In 1872, Darwin published The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals, in which he argued that all humans, and even other animals, show emotion through remarkably similar behaviors. "

  • He's rather cute...

  • love how all the meerkats go '...... *stare*' lol Meerkat doom beam ftw

  • How endearing of these special little critters to be with, Simon!

  • I want my own little Arnie!!!!!!!

  • 2:27 "wait...what?"

    hahaha

  • What happened to Arnie anyway?

  • that is such a wonderful experience! *_*

  • Awww! How can you say it's not affection? Do you really know? Granted, it would take a lot more for me to say that I'm a loved part of the family... They could haul off and bite! Still, I hate it when people make it sound like animals have no feelings. I think they do like you - and i think they're smarter than that to know you're more than a rock. :) Still, beautiful, touching scene! The one meerkat digging into your pants make me think of a stereotypical teenage girl... ;P lol

  • i need this in my life

  • wat would happen if he would of grabbed one of them?

  • They look like Michael Cera

  • @mistszkris Nice that you noticed :P /CERA

  • Arnie is an amazing survivor, I had to make a video-tribute to him on my channel, hehe. (:

  • I love these little critters. I could watch them cavorting all day. Kudos to Simon for having the patience to get so close to the "family". And I would say his patience paid off in spades. I loved the one little meerkat that went nose to nose with him, just like a house cat. Great stuff.

  • 2:08 aww he gave him a hug ♥

  • Simon King!

  • the only kind of cat..kat..i like ..sorry cat lovers...meerkats :)

  • this is too precious!

  • Awwwww....meerkats are smaller than I thought xD

  • You cannot help but smile at that meerkat booping his nose against Simon's.

  • Imagine when he left, the meerkat's musta been like HOLY SHIT WTF IT MOVES?!?!

  • @kob3fan24 lol!!!

  • hahah thatd be so funny like i know so many people that wouldn be able to resist petting them

  • this dude probably trained those little shits!

  • I'm so jealous!! I'd love to have meerkats mistaking me for a rock. When the one gets up into Simon's face, it is such a trusting, innocent, baby-like gesture.

Meerkats, babies and adults both, are unbelievably cute animals.

  • I wish I could study them that closely...amazing and adorable little animals.

  • It seems to be evidence that, when human beings are in the wild, we're seen by some of the wildlife as just another animal. The Meercats see that they're not being attacked by this unfamiliar creature, so they have no reason to fear it. We sometimes forget that we are a part of the wildlife of the earth...one of the Great Ape species'. We have a natural place in the wild...it's just a shame that we've shunned it so completely as a species!

  • @andell1 not really, many of our species enjoy that way of life. but im glad we arent living that way anymore, it sounds all lovely and hakuna matata and all that but in the end we are better striving forward instead of trying to just stay frozen in time, theres a reason why we dominate the planet and its because we went beyond the most basic forms of survival

  • wow thats so amazing

  • you really need to find a hobbie your super at like this!!!!!!!

  • at 1:03 tan i get a tissy

  • at 2:44 the meerkats look like soldiers standing side by side

  • at 2:44 the meerkats look like soldiers standing side by side

  • chooo cutee :DD

  • 0:03

  • It amazes me just how tough Meerkats are. Fully grown, they're a little bigger than a rat, yet can survive getting bitten by a snake whose venom would be fatal to even humans, if we didn't get treatment.

  • @Mechknight73 Do you ever wonder though how, if we were living in the wild, our species may have evolved? I suspect Meercats can survive that venom because, over time, it became necessary for their physiology to evolve to withstand snake bites. As for us...we're evolving by losing teeth, in some cases getting fatter, and destroying the planet! Go humans!

  • @andell1 I was pointing out their amazing toughness. Some species survive by sheer weight of numbers, like the Australian budgerigar. Meerkats are related to the mongoose, which is semi-immune to cobra venom. From the same part of Africa is the honey badger. They can get bitten by a cobra, and sleep the effect off as if it were a hangover. All we humans seem to be good at is screwing up the planet. Mother Nature only has one "culling" mechanism that works on us: war.

  • @Mechknight73 well said !!!

  • there so cute

  • am i seeing things..2.22 it looked like it tear..

  • dude i wish i was simon king

and who else here watches meerkat manor

  • Just watched his show. It's frightening that the likes of him are in charge of thie counrty, He's lucky him and his public school friend have the time to be concerned over an otter. Its almost Monty Pythin, Cut him and his staff!

  • HeI Is the epitome of class over opportunity. i bet his Dad was something in the Beeb before him. Shame he didn't cross a little further to Louth and see where that accent gets him.

  • aye son; he'd get pure knackered if he came up to glasgow, nae bother.....

  • Checked it out. Daddy did work for the Beeb. Child actor as well like Jonathon Ross and David Mitchell, A war is gonna come.

  • John, do you have any idea about how much chance and skill goes into being a wildlife cameraman? Maybe if you will be so kind as to give Simon King's autobiography a read you would know that he was literally forced into acting as a kid and never cared for it! He was much more interested in nature, grubbing around on all fours like any boy! And again, took an interest in the latest technology around him (cameras - his dad producing tv shows)...like any boy.

  • Compare him to say Johnny Kingdom - son of a miner and living a relatively deprived life, loved nature and cameras, filmed some stuff and through a series of chance events and character (exactly like Simon King) worked his way up the ladder to become a successful wildlife cameraman. I know that both these men have great respect for one and other so why do you have such aggression and feel the need to fight for people less fortunate than Simon? It was down to chance meetings he got where he is.

  • Aww, they are so cute. Can they be petted?

  • they bite.. and they have SHARP teeth.

  • Simon...you are truly a nature lover...you deserve this...awesome man!!

  • what about pumba

  • Yeah that would be right you look at the nice innocent animals and say that god created them, what about the deadly animals that kill humans? Did god create those, and if he did what was his purpose in creating them? Use common sense, there is no god.

  • Lol sorry, im a little to smart to believe all that rubbish you just took from the bible and re-arranged the words to suit YOUR god better. The bible claims that it is ok to stone people and burn them at the stakes for not believing in him, and you're telling me god is a nice god?

  • @mikilavush Long live the gods of CHAOS!

  • Lol no its because of fucking idiot such as yourself waging war on other countries because your reliigon differs from theirs. Religion will be the death of us all. And all the dumb fucking sheep that follow it. Now excuse me i have to go sin some more, because all Atheists believe in the devil you know, we love to sin all the time, its just good stuff.

  • WHAT DO MEERKATS HAVE TO DO WITH RELIGOUS ffs

  • Nothing, i was replying to idiots who brought religion into another video.

  • i hate it when people bring religion into something where its nt really relavent

  • Lol tell me about it.

  • @ally1066 It isn't relavent to anything.

  • @ally1066

Religion is relevant all the time and everywhere.

  • @MotherEden the only religeon that isnt bullshit is druidism :L, druids follow nature, ;D

  • @MotherEden actually, it isn't.

  • @ally1066 according you mothafoka, otherwise people with religion always think something relevant, you can not force people thinking your way kid

  • That is pretty cool.

  • Awesome

  • lucky man

  • those meercats are soo cute and adorable that it makes my heart melt.
