  • O_o i didn`t expect they would sound that good live, it sound todaly the same like the CD (just with some Idiots yelling -.- ) but never mind i would do that too ^^

  • it's strange that they are dressed with daily clothes.

  • @TherionSamael

    why "strange" ?

  • @deHelveticGrimWinter I found it strange, because you do not often see black metal musicians dressed like this.

  • @TherionSamael

ah now i understand,... i think they are way more then just simply black metal :)

i mean i can not name any other band like urfaust!

    cheers

  • @deHelveticGrimWinter yes,i use the term "black metal" to describe them because it's faster, but in my sense it's a kind of music made of depressive/suicidal black metal, atmospheric black metal, but their style is very unique.

  • @TherionSamael

yeah, this would fit, sometimes i can even hear a bit of folkish guitar styles.

  • @deHelveticGrimWinter So you should listen to Drudenfuß,it's a totally folk metal song, with Burzum-like barks at the end,one of their best song. ;)

  • @TherionSamael

i know it always reminds me of a drinking song from ireland :D

  • @shadowguitar:

i think that they mainly have no lyrics...it´s just atmospheric blabla ^^ i mean just try to recreate something that makes sense on that song ! and on the other side it would be a very cool concept just to make noises like that ;) try to believe that ! it gives the music a more mystical and "intellectual"...touch xDDD it really does !

  • Fucking Sucks!! Thought it was post '85 Metallica.

  • Pity they don´t have a bassist.. =D

  • Anyone has tabs for this song?

  • fucking great song, amazing work

  • Their lyrics are a mixture of languages but mostly just vocal syllables. I find it that they can capture more pain and emotion that way then with words. It is truly brilliant in my eyes.

  • Great gig also at Garage Oslo last night. :=)

  • ui :D sounds really fine. Must be a great atmosphere there

  • i was there! great gig!

  • I asked the band about the lyrics once, and I got a "we'd tell you, but then we'd have to kill you" response. They're secret, and they're going to stay that way, apparently. It's a shame, because I'd really like to know as well. I can't even tell whether they're singing in Dutch or German.

  • Thanks for the information, buut.... thats a real shame.

  • Hmm interesting. Were they serious or just joking. Did you ask them in person or on the net?

  • They're pretty serious. Apparently they're in some weird dialect of German, according to sources who know the band. Other than that, I know nothing.

  • Lol quote - were they serious.. Of course they were !! HAHA XD

  • @alcahaxed guess your right, Urfaust is pretty good!

  • @ShadowGuitar

Maybe it's good that we don't know the lyrics. Because if they were German, I could understand them and then there probably were like a million mistakes in it (because even in their songtitles they make stupid mistakes).

e.g. "Geist ist Teufel" means "Ghost is Devil" which is obviously wrong.

Anyways, the song is great and gives me a shiver pretty often

  • @deLord1337

    thats not exact, sir.

"Natur und Geist - so spricht man nicht zu Christen.

    Deshalb verbrennt man Atheisten,

Weil solche Reden höchst gefährlich sind.

Natur ist Sünde, Geist ist Teufel,

Sie hegen zwischen sich den Zweifel,

    Ihr missgestaltet Zwitterkind. "

So... "Geist ist Teufel" is not a mistake

  • @deLord1337 So in the year that you left this comment did you realize where their track titles were taken from, and that they weren't 'mistakes'? I sure hope so.

  • @GenocideGod No, where were they taken from?

Moreover, explain why _this_ isn't totally wrong "Verflucht das Blenden der Erscheinung"

or "Dämmert, gelähmt und mit scheinbar erloschenem Geist"

If you are German, I don't need to tell you "dämmert" sounds a little bit awkward in this context, doesn't it

"Der Halbtoten Dichters Schein Existenz" - wrong, even in old language

  • Great song, great band, but.... i do not understand a word, anyones's got the lyrics?? or where can i find them??

  • They must come to Sweden, this is one of the most unique bands in the world!

  • Dutch

  • oops sorry, I read " they must be from sweden" P; take it as subconscious sign of appreciating sweden haha

  • Ka heter denne sangen? eg får faen ikkje tak i den. :o/ syns den var så fin.
