  • this is great, whats that thing with the nobs? i understand it must be adding some sort of effects to the song. it looks like something for a guitar

  • @RadicalPresident Those are guitar effect pedals, one of them is a delay, I don't know about the other, but it seems to change the pitch.

  • you are such an inspiration ^^ make moar gameboy music!

  • lol the days when littlescale still used gameboys like the rest of us n00bs.

  • which programm do you have ?

    in the gameboy

  • A Team of phreakers exploit old technology. This one guy actually makes his tracks and put's them onto a printable circuit designed around the song.

  • it's been done! I've seen it , innovative Concept.

  • @senthious What's been done? Game Boy music? Of course it has.

  • 240p we meet again

  • @WOQProductions Oh well.

  • who is that ONE fucking person who disliked???????????/

  • @koprilos Probably just a hipster.

  • my favoritte part is where it goes bloop beeb bob beep boop

  • @libunch I know, right?!

  • nothing is art just forget it.

  • @RoboticusMusic very good.

  • @RoboticusMusic

    EVERYTHING is art

  • @UmbraMooh sssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • COOL, MAN HOW IS MADE? I'M HAVE NINTENDO GAME BOY COLOR & WANT PLAY TRACK THIS HIM !!!! PLEASE, HELP ME?

  • Are the drums you're using purely from LSDJ or are you messing with them?

  • How does it make notes when you press buttons? Is it a soundchip?

  • Are those guitar looper pedals?

  • omg i have always loved the sound chip in gameboys and the SID MOS chip

  • how does LSDj work? is it like a game cartridge you install? I'm askin cuz im workin towards making my own 8bit tunes. Good job BTW

  • how long does it take to make an average song? and how long does it take to get used to this?

  • @RawrCars To make an average song, expect at least ten hours of work if you want something quality. As far as how to it takes to get used to it, if you are a musician of any type, you shouldn't have to much trouble, especially if you are an electronic musician. If you are not a musician, it will take a little time to get making music.

  • i want to get in to this..... ima buy a GB Color, but what other equipment do I need? I know i need software like LSDJ or Nanoloop, but whats that equipment in the background?

  • So you're using LSDJ? Do you happen to know if Nanoloop is as good/better than it, because I couldn't find LSDJ to buy anywhere, but I could find Nanoloop.

  • nice dude

  • how is the quality of lsdj if you play it on an emulator? is it worth the inconvenience of having to actually buy a gameboy plus a means of getting a physical copy of the program?

  • @culo9999 To be honest, it is not THAT inconvenient to buy a GB etc - and the sound quality if great! Plus, once you have LSDJ on a GB, then you have an awesome portable chiptune tracker :D

  • @littlescale can yu please give me a hand? i dont know were to buy lsdj, is it just a cartrage or do u need to gameboy modded too? please send me a mesdsage i need help x

  • @culo9999 smarter to buy a usb-cart and just drag and drop the license on lit:)

  • Absolutely amazing. great job! you possess a great talent :D 5/5

  • Very good! I like it.

  • Hey which pedals are he using? Those don't look like BOSS for sure...

  • Behringer

  • Proper dope shit

  • Way to show your support cloud paladin. Comparing the authors track to greenday.

I'll have to think about it next time i want to break somebody's spirit for making good music.

  • sounds great, good work mate

  • would be amazing to incorperate this into a live dj set, simply amazing wat you can do wit an old game boy as a base im lovin all this gameboy madness on youtube some quality stuff being produced keep it up !!!!

  • There's something about using pedals for a gameboy that I find a bit crazy, no offense, because I wasn't meaning it's a bad thing. I'm normally more into metal and everything to do with metal, but some how I crossed into the electronic realm, and I can't say I'm hating it. :)

  • I feel like there should be some kind of community that makes very snack-sized games based on chiptunes tracks people make.

OH SHI-- maybe I'm on to something here.

  • THAT WAS GREAT!

  • I like gameboy music a lot. It has something really deep and dark inside those 8 bit sounds.

  • word

  • It's music.

  • exactly. and damn good music at that.

  • no offense to cloud sparrow but I think I like this version better =)

  • wonderful song.

  • What pedals are you using?

  • They both look like behringer pedals to me. One is a Delay and I think the other is a Bass Synth, I'm not so sure though.

  • technoooo

how can you argue with a dude named clownshoes

  • awesome use of effects pedals and nanoloop!

  • Nice work.

  • little scale rocks. period.

  • who gives a flying fuck about structure. the mood is there. that is all that matters. If I cared about rules Id be into sports anyways. Have your opinion but by going around spewing shit everywhere you just make yourself out to be a big fat asshole.

  • What you say makes no fucking sense. What kind of moralfag are you? Why do I use so much profanity? I do not use it to feel accomplished (whatever that even means...). I use it for tone and MOOD which you seem to be unable to process with your defective mind. and don't try to pull the whole "profanity usage==intelligence level" bullshit because honestly it's a fairly non sequitur statement. You took the time to call this mans piece of art "rubish"... Why do you have to share that negativity?

  • you shouldn't argue with people on you tube, your efforts are worthless. i learned it by myself...

  • you are probably right. I just cannot stand somebody going to videos of people performing their art just to call it shit. I know "to each his own" but damnit I just wish they could keep it to themselves...

  • Hey Aphexpusher,

You a fan of Aphex twin and Squarepusher or cardopusher ? :D

if yes, you are right they're awesome! :D

if no, just a coincidence ^^

  • the idea of "art" has been debated for a long time. so is it art only when a key on a piano or keyboard has been pressed? is that what you are saying? there are so many people out there making a whole lot of money and gathering fame for their "art". even when that "art" is looping samples or making a collage. I mean I get if you are saying that this is a more low brow artform but for you to say it is not art is pretty insane. Do you want to argue against the post modern movement?

  • What?

  • @ConCon75 So music can't be art at all because you didn't make the instruments?

    Think about it, idiot...

  • @ConCon75 but what about all those sounds he just made? are you trying to be existential? you're breaking my mind man!

  • @Bisl3y He didnt make them he programmed a computer to make them for him, just because you make a guitar it doesnt make you a musician.

  • @ConCon75 hes an artist coz he does art, wheter u like it or not, music is art, writing is art, everything is art, it may not be amazing to you but to some it is, people that only sing are considered artist, people that make their music is considered artist, this guy is an artist... wheter u like it or not

  • @ConCon75 Mixing is something different than playing... hes not "making" a GB, hes using it, just like a guitarist would use his guitar to make sound, this mixer use a GB to make sound... ur kinda retarded... no makin a guitar doesnt make u a musician, it make u a lutist... duh? playin it doesnt mean ur a musician, however ur an artist the second u pick an instrument, regardless of ur talent

  • Rubbish

  • can't please everyone...

  • fag

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahah (lol @ u)

  • idiot. tired of these fags.

  • what are those two things?

sorry for being such a noob :P

  • Guitar pedals...(distortion, filters etc)

  • how did you connect your gameboy to your pedals? I tried that and it did not work too well.

  • omg that was fucking amazing. BRILLIANT! what kinda pedals are those? I want to do EXACTLY what you have done. fucking mad brilliant!

  • I can never get enough blips and bloops.

  • Dobrze zrobione, szczególnie te modulacje. Pozdrawiam

  • yo you got a music myspace for this?

    It's awesome :) Do more songs (Y)

    xoxo

  • Nice song man hope you make more

  • i just pawned those two pedals you were using! haha

  • somehow i don't think you would have gotten much for them!

  • i didnt. : D i like the pitch shift on the multi though. cool organ sounds when done right.

  • hey i live in aus as well. where did you get your copies of lsdj and nanoloop, and how much did they cost. including carts?

  • You can't get LSDJ carts from thier site anymore, and I dont know about Nanoloop, I think they're just out of stock :P an LSDJ rom is only $2 from the lsdj site! Depending what country you're in LSDJ carts sells for different amounts, here in england LSDJ will more often than not sell for £130 or more, theres just more call for it here, but I got a cartridge from America for £70! :D

  • Even 70GPS seems a little excessive for just the cart, seeing as you can probably get both a cart and a transferer device from Rob Webb. Anyway, I would check kitsch, tom gilmore, 8bitpeoples, EMS directly or nonfinite.

  • wow. that is ome wicked stuff and the end. well done, well done....

  • rock on my friend, so gnarly!

  • this is nasty. what is that controller you're using?

  • I am not sure I know what you mean, but the music is being made on the Game Boy and is being effected by the fx pedals which I am controlling by hand (which is the pitch shifter in this video and the delay at points).

  • -]. Now I know, when you upload a video, I dont get notified of it all the time (which I should) cause i've missed this as well, all i was notified about was "leaf", out of ya gameboy tracks, this is brilliant, it makes me wanna use the gameboy more .[-

  • how to connect lsdj to gameboy? sorry for the stupid question... but i really wanna how.. and what gadget does you use in that video??

  • Hi there, LSDJ is on a reprogrammable cart, and this cart is in the gameboy. The effects pedals are a delay pedal and a multi-fx set to pitch shift.

  • ok this may sound like a stupid quuestion but how do i get my gameboy linked up to my computer? So the sound goes though my computer and i can edit it live and then put it out on other speakers?

  • well, the way that i do it is i just plug a cable from the headphone output socket on the gameboy into the computer. but there is a mod that some people do called "prosound mod" that improves the sound quality. (ie. less hiss and noise, louder output).

  • thanks, and what type of cable is this? headphone to headphone?,...

    thanks ;)

  • yeah, "headphone to headphone" i suppose you could call it. because my computer's sound card has a small 3.5mm stereo jack as input and the gameboy has the same as output.

  • this is easly your best track!

    keep em coming!

  • I agree

  • I see the delay pedal, what's the other one?

  • the other is a multi fx, set to pitch shifting. then i am changing both the wet / dry level and the coarse tuning (semitones) parameters,

  • so sick

  • -]. best game boy track I ever heard .[-

  • whoa, thanks Temp. Big compliment coming from you.
