Chaps...this is what excessive use of - "lip balm" does to a otherwise cool guy. God, I love all music from these years. I'm a hard rock fan now, but this music just does something to me, makes me all calm and mellow, wish stuff of this genre was still being produced.
this is first time i have hear this since i was on the bus going to school in the 3 grade the driver would play the radio and this song was playing sometimes I have not hear it until i seen this video and the first time i have seen them do this song live thanks for posting this video and your channel
@kaylancom I think this is so good and as usual with the 1965 - 1970 Turtles music - grossly underated. What a great vocal you did and still do. In the 60's as every Turtles 45 was released I'd will it on to do well. I still argue for and champion them. One other thing - no matter what - hail to the chief - Al Nichol.
Heheheh...these guys just kilz me......How did they get away with it, that time, that they had 'pop" hits....hahahahah...Eddie, are you..kidding? Thanks for posting this!
Loved them, but they were the strangest band. I think they were nerds before nerds were popular! Their music didn't sound anything like their looks, but good music!
Great music is always great music, and a great song lasts forever. These guys were excellent musicians and all about the joy of music. They left their ego's at the door when they played- obviously. They were very happy with the cute young girls getting air time. And- girls today... take note: every one of these girls oozed an arresting quality of sensuality without acting or dressing like escorts!
A little annoying the way most of this vid is the girls' faces. I mean, the Turtles weren't exactly hot guys at this time, but I'd rather watch them sing the damn song!!!
@harrietcow Well said, this is rare music historical footage and a very good live performance. I would have liked close ups of Al Nichol's guitar work and Mark & Howard's vocals. Nevertheless thank you for putting this one up.
