Ron Geesin made Pink Floyd out of Syd Floyd. After Syd left, the group was lost in darkness. Atom Heart Mother was the 4th album of the Floyd. It was made with Ron Geesin. He brought them on The new path which would lead them to become an orchestral pop group. The father of the modern Pink Floyd is Ron Geesin.

great great video thanks a lot (where did you find it???) atom heart mother is a great masterpiece of pink floyd and it's always good to see it live!!
As probably some other here I think Atom Heart Mother is their best LP recording ever ! Even if this video is of low technical quality by today´s standards it is very nice to hear the band & orchestra trying the delicate task of performing this exceptional and complex beauty of a song live !
This is no mainstream music -this is quality progressive music of the epic type...
A masterpiece of Pink Floyd. Indeed, the quality of this video is bad but doesn't matter. When I hear the sound I go in the land of dreams and poetry :) 5 stars, but it deserves millions of stars.
just thought i'd add that if you add '&fmt=18'(without the'marks)to the address at the top of your screen, the sound quality improves alot.not the video, just the sound
Ok the music is GREAT, the video is TERRIBLE. Now dont get me wrong, I LOVE Pink Floyd, but didnt they have better quality video by 1970? This looks like a broadcast from 1940
I'm in the middle of reading "Inside Out" by Nick Mason, just finished the section about Bath and the recording of this great song. Don't know why they dislike it, I think it's one of their best. Cool video!
Come on man im a floyd fan listening to them my whole life meddle and animals is probably their best albums but how can you not like the wall its one of their best works too youre goin to real hell for not likein it lol
Actually, their best album is either "The Dark Side of the Moon", or "Wish You Were Here" is their best album. Take your pick. "The Wall" has a good concept, but the music is, IN MY OPINION, crap compared to those two other albums. Pink Floyd in the P.D. years are good also (after the Syd left, that is).
I think you should drown in a everlasting sea of black mans cum lol kidding but seriously now theres better albums than those two just cause they were the most popular doesnt mean theyre the best music wise and the wall was great music wise it was so well put together
mmm actually.. the wall is their worst album XD and i'm not saying its a bad album.. but its a commercial one.. still.. its pretty good :) i like "the trial" and "waiting for the worms"
The Wall is the horrible sound of a big spoilt baby throwing his toys out of the pram... sure, Waters was depressed, but lots of us get depressed, we just don't write pompous, tuneless double albums about it. He never understood that it was Wright and Gilmour who made his gloomy songs listenable - with them pushed to one side, you're just listening to a tone-deaf whinger with no sense of perspective moaning for an hour and a half.
I was there!! .....Wally....!! One of the first brilliant open air concerts with a magical array of bands!!

Only these people tripping on LSD and watching this live in the 1970's, TRULY understand the meaning of Atom Heart Mother

It is a great pity that the orchestra is so poor. The brass is an embarassment.
The Floyd would have deserved the London Phil for this project, not some substandard brass band.

First time I've seen this since 1970, when I was there.
June 1970 Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, a couple of miles from the present location of Glastonbury Festival.

VERY RARE FIND!
I think this is the one that Geesin walked out of.
When you here the musicians sync problems and some of the brass players, its easy to see why!
Thanx for this!
