What a beautiful rendetion of this great old country gospel song. I really do miss the days when I grew up back in the 50's and 60's when you could see and hear gospel music on radio & TV. Sadly, those days are all but gone. Thanks for posting this .
A great job of a fine old country gospel song. I guess we all took for granted that all of our gospel music we listented to on radio and TV back in the 50's and 60,s would always be here. Now it is all but gone. Thanks for posting this wonderful song
This is great. I'll read more about this fellow...just what I needed before I turn in tonight. I grew up hearing this as an "invitation" song at a country church called Avoca in Oklahoma. I've done it at folk music gatherings, even cowboy gatherings.
Great Video. I heard him perform Sat. night at the Buffalo River Music Fest. . . what a great performer Mac is. I loved hearing the songs that I grew up hearing my uncle sing. I recently moved to TN and hope to hear him again. . . he sings the classic songs that need to be heard. I enjoyed talking to him and his wife after the performance.
Yes I read it and this guy is REAL country and from the heart just like Jimmy Rodgers, Hank Williams and so many others, Mac sings MY kind of real country music.
Very beautiful done...a down to earth style of singing and playing a song..we played it several times we enjoyed it so much...thank you for posting anf thanks JT for sending...5*****s and fav'd...
Terrific video. To my favorites. *****. Not much more I can say about it without seeming to be long winded.LOL!! Oh, and thanks JT for sharing this with me.
These guys are just two of the classic acts that my late friend, Alex Kennedy [cameraman] filmed and interviewed over a 30 years period. He left me some substantial footage and recordings before he died. That's Sonny Rodgers [Jimmie Rodgers 1st. cousin] on the left, and McDonald Craig the right.

Mac is a real jewel. I first met him in 1999 and we've been good friends since. I was down at his place on the 5th of July 2009.
