I'm confused. Who is the guy in the video and why are all the rats attacking? Someone mind explaining the backstory to this part of the game to me? Send it in a mail or something.

I dont really know :/ i have completed the game myself but i dont know lolz :P this cutscene comes in the X18 lab and i think.... Maybe when Strelok(the Guy u are in the game) Shoots the rats the rats Run away from something... and then one of his friends Yell ""STRELOK!"" maybe cuz Scar comes...

I think it is just the person you are playing having a dream about who he is, due to the fact that at the beginning you have amnesure and can't remember who you are. I think it's just the character realizing who he is.

That sounds like Doc who says that. Doc is the other guy in the C-Consciousness ending, and the X16 lab scene.

I saw fucking loads of those rats round the wild territory, usually in swarms of 5-10...

Oddly enough, I only encountered one rat throughout the entire game. Snuck up on me in Pripyat and bit me..

the screen turns all white after that cutscene but why does it stay white for me? it is like the game crashes or something because it just stays white! do u know why?

there are some sound mods that give you that authentic AK sound

The AK DOES sound like that, only it sounds slightly different because it's right by your ear. Ever fired a gun?

If you fire a shotgun it sounds like a cannon and the gunshot seems to go on for a long moment. If you hear someone firing a shotgun from fourty yards away however it just sounds like a loud pop.

the one in the game sounds different than the cutscene. play the game again, the AK does not have its distinct sound. there are better replacement sounds
