@ACRetro I got in touch with the guy who made this haha , he still uses the same e-mail address you see at the end of the game, he gave me the code for the net yaroze playstation , so if i ever come across a net yaroze! ill make level 2! haha
@TheGamesMonster He posted a comment on one of my videos too, top bloke. You can still occasionally get Yaroze systems if you look hard enough online - it might even be worth contacting Sony direct about purchasing one, there's nothing to lose. I would love to see level 2... level 1 was a bit too easy d(-.~)b
@RobertArsenalFan yeah those good old times that you threw your controller on the wall and got out in your balcony and scream like a maniac from frustration
this game was solid, i couldt jump for shit hahaha! and when you did jump, that was it, no turning back, also i used to try and run and jump all the way through no stopping.
Aaah good old Net Yaroze. I love how kids these days blame sony for they lack of thing for independant, but they were one of the first to offer a Devellopement base for the large public ! Viva Sony, i owe them all my childhood of gaming :)
I loved this game. My brother made fun of me no end because of my addiction... I eventually finished it, and perfected it so I could do it over and over... The other day, we were trying to remember the theme tune of it, because we were talking about addictive games... So I am so happy I found this!
I loved this game for one simple reason: It was HARD. A 2D platformer that was just genuinely challenging, no poor controls, no poor programming, no limited jump distance, just top-notch level design. Okay, so I finished it anyway but I liked the game enough to keep trying!
how cool that you have replied me and my friend used to love this game and we found it really challenging i thought it was really good though it certainly entertained us. anyway thanks. jim
Nothing special. A ending story text came up, a picture of the creator and credits. Not very exiting... Anyway, i think it was like that, but i can't check, because I don't have the game anymore.
Finally! I found it!
I've been looking all over for this game.
As a kid, I used to have this game in a demo, along side "Sam The Boulderman", as complete games.

Worst controls ever hahaha
Loved the song though.

I remember the good old days of games made by the net yaroze! You could have fan games on demo disc!
A Dog Tale was one of my favorite, but it was so hard! My all time favorite was Terra Incognita!

LOL are you joking this game looks impossible. Whoever is playing this game can barely get to level 2
callan666 3 years ago
There is no level 2. There are check-points dotted around the level, though.
For the record, it's me who is playing, and I wasn't really trying. Honest! ;)
ACRetro 3 years ago
Sorry i've never played this game before so i don't know all the info about it. My friend probs knows as much as me about the game.
callan666 3 years ago
@callan666
It is, I played it as a kid, the music and graphics makes me feel very very strange I don't know why but it does, and it was impossibly hard too.

I've tryed to find one of those NET Yaroze Playstations fpr my console collection, but there extremly rare, anybody know where i could get one?
DeanoTheLegend87 4 years ago
Could try eBay or other online auction websites. Another option is to join up to some PSX forums and ask if anybody has one to sell. Good luck.

That game looks impossible
IPunchfish 4 years ago
It's unforgiving, to say the least!
There are even tougher sections further from what I manage in this video, but I will say this:
There are full, non-Yaroze games which hold your attention far less than A Dog Tale.
