Pocketspatel is nuts. I've got a red '98 f650, and it's smooth as glass at 75 MPH- 600 miles days are no problem. You must have $3,000+ in aftermarket goodies, and even though I wouldn't have poped for all of them, your buyer got a great bike at a greater price. Well done.
Got to be the nicest F650 I have ever seen, I had one of these for my first bike and i wish I had seen this video then. You had some great ideas, love the dirt seat, transforms the whole bike, thanks for posting this vid Mark. Regards from the UK
with all the extra hat you add to this bike and time, love that it take.. this bike will not have a market value, i have the same on black,, and it takes time, money and love to add all of this, i can not find the oil thm to added to my bike...
You sound like Alec Baldwin. That bike is awesome. It looks like it has a bull's neck. Professional video. I will probably watch it again.
If I can afford it and found one, I will go for the F650, but will probably end up with a Kawasaki KLR650 or Suzuki DR650. I am kind of turned off by the mandatory "doohickey" replacement on the KLR, but it makes the most sense compared to the DR650 (which is more off road oriented) because I will be riding 95% on the streets and highways of Austin Texas!
US$5K, my asking price. The buyer was from out of state and paid for it via PayPal, sight unseen, based solely on the video and a phone conversation. He came and picked up the bike 2 weeks later. He got a great bike, and I got my asking price, so we were both happy.
wicked... and not a bad price... have you ever done the math to see how much the extras cost? please don't take the video out... it's a great reference as to where this model can be brought. Hope you get another bike and treat her just as well. Great job.
