@henrygeeable Actually, having a fast 40 DOES make you a beast, because if your team can get you past the defensive line (as a runningback) then it's a free td, because if you're faster...it should go unsaid that nobody can catch you. Teams just don't take advantage of that.

@GreenyDove thougth i let you know that harvin got rookie of the year a few years back but with pads on he is a top 10 fastest pads off top 20 he is very stong but trindon holliday is only fast not that strong hes gona be broken in half

Demps was an outstanding HS runner but has not been as successful at track (NCAA) because of football, whereas Trindon was able run the fastest collegiate 100m at one point. So my guess is that Trindon is probably faster, but not by much. Also my point was that Percy Harvin speed wise is not really in the same class as those guys, which is fine, he's 1000x better at FB.

If you look at the top 10 combine numbers for the 40 run, most of theme nd up mediocre players or get run out of the league all together.
That's why I love the NFL. Pure athleticism isn't going to do it.

His strides aren't much, if at all, longer than Holliday's. It just seems like that because his running form is inefficient.
