I have a 97 sunfire 5 speed with the interier painted too. but mine doesnt have power anything besides steering and brakes.

the only thing i see that you need to do is take those manifolds off and paint them.

and if you wanna finish this car off, pull that 2.2 and put a 2200 in, than you could bolt a supercharger on it off of a Colbalt SS.

The 2.4L Quad/ twincam is a Piece of shit. Famous for a spun con rod bearings at 80,000 Miles. Unless you put racing parts on it. I know the 2.2L is known for head gaskets. But The head gasket is easy to fix.

Yeah just google up 2.4L twincam spun bearings you will find tons of info there.

It usually happens around 80,000 miles.

Also there was recalls on the rack and pinion from 1996 to 1998 on sunfires. My sister now has a 1997 sunfire with the 2.2L and she got that fixed for free.
