Azeris are Tatars who came much later and invaded the area and now occupy the land that they do. Also Nagorno Karabagh was only given to them by Stalin, it was never theirs before. Armenians lie only from armenians! Why the Armenians deceive the world? Can u look a Great Soviet Encyclopedia or others sources? They say nothing about its Armenian origins. I would like to see a scholarly (not armenian) source stating that it was invented by Armenians, if such source is available. They wrote that see the instrument is popular with many different people on a vast territory and has a Turkish name.

The Armenian duduk is one of the oldest double reed instrument in the world. Born in the early years of Armenian history, it is purely Armenian. Because of its evocative and colorful timbre and warm sound, the duduk has become part of everyday life in Armenia.The Armenian duduk itself is a cylindrical tube made of apricot wood. Indeed, it's origins can be traced back to at least before the time of Christ.

The Duduk is the Turkish name, it give from the Turkish word "düdük". But Armenians is armenized it. Some of European countries called this instrument as the duduki In Georgia, duduka or dudka in Russia and Ukraine, duduk in Serbia, and the daduk in Bulgaria. Duduk in Azerbaijan is known as Balaban. Azerbaijans have other instrument by name Tütek. The Azerbaijanian musician Alihan Samedov play in balaban well as all armenians musicians!
