at first i thought it is the South African R5, (i use one as a service rifle in the S A Police Force) but after a closer look, i saw that the bolt handle is straight out. the R5 bolt handle is bent upwards. so my feeling is that it is a Israeli Galil
That almost sounds like aFull auto AR-15 and looks like an AKM-74 short version...I think it's firing the .223---I want .308 Full auto but with next to no recoil...Hard to achieve...
simba, you're totally wrong about the origins of both rounds. The 5.45 was not designed to shoot through heavy brush, but body armor. The .223 was NOT designed to wound. Project SALVO decided that a burst of small bullets was FAR more effective than 1 round of 7.62. The M16 was therefore designed to fire small .223 rounds on full auto, in order to achieve multiple hits on a single target.
tumbling is less effective than fragmentation. The 5.56 fragments, the 5.45 does not. Course, neither the Russians or the U.S. knew much about this stuff at the time, but luckily it worked out in our favor..
What did you do to that man ......Either you had internal work done on that or you got a very very well machined AK...You can't fool me.../I know better...
Interesting I knew something was different as the rate of fire is amazing if it was a shortened version of AK-47. Imagine if your gun had that rate of speed and was a 7.62x39 wow!!!!
What make and model cehollier? aksu??74 or what I love to get one....only one i really have seen is the piece the So Called Bin Ladin had next to his side...Probably buried with him in some unmarked grave in the 1990's by CIA....
it looks alot like a micro galil

Actually it's 5.56x45, .223 is the equivalent but the two rounds have slightly different pressures.
Really nice rifle BTW!!
screamingdemon 3 years ago
Very true. But I was shooting civilian .223 instead of mil spec 5.56. I came across a deal on 5.56 and now have a stash of that.

is it just me, or is that actually a micro-galil?

Question,
Is it legal for you to own a full auto AK where you live? And if so, what did you have to do to own one ?
mrpickles478 4 years ago
You will have to have a ClassIII FFL License
in order to own a full automatic firearms.
odcoolshark75 4 years ago
Cool. I didn't even know you could readily buy full auto firearms.
mrpickles478 4 years ago
Wrong, you have to pay a $200 tax stamp on top of the outragously exspensive pre-86machineguns. For post samples you have to be a Class 3 dealer.
screamingdemon 4 years ago
You cannot own a pre '86 without a Class III or a Class II/SOT. Only fully transferable.
