@Reverseflush Agreed, if they Veyron were a true work of Genius then they would be able to make double that of a conventional TT V8 like the SSC Aero has in it. SSC produced 1287hp and capable of speeds of up to 270mph on a good road/course. Veyron has double the pistons and twice the turbos the Aero has, it should be able to pruduce 2000+hp and run 300+mph.....but it doesn't!!!! Why is that I wonder. As for the vid, I'd go the CCXR the whole way, just cuz its way cooler and more fun to drive.

dude imagine if you put 1000 hp in a mclaren f1. neither of these cars would be a match. there only like 10 mph faster than the mclaren and it only has 630 hp. you only need about a 100 more hp to go about 10 miles per hour faster. so with an extra 400 it would take forever for somone to make a car faster.

By simply building a turbo modified engine for f1, we get 800hp or even 1000hp. Imagine 1000hp macca have nerly 1000hp per tonne, thats caparo t1 territory, if we iron out the traction issues, we see 0-60 in <2.5s and 0-100 in <5s, not only topspeed but acceleration own the ssc or veyron or whatever.

btw, gordon murray said 1000hp f1 will do 281mph. Thats 447kmh or 8mph faster than the 273mph even the SSC with 1200hp claim they do.

Veyron needs only 270 hp to reach 250 km/h, but for extra 158 km/h it needs extra 730+ hp...So the function of speed/power is exponential. With increasing speed, every extra kph needs more power...so the calculation isn't that easy

Like said the Koenigsegg is more like a racing car on a track; uncomfortable, loud, racing-look. Whilst the Bugatti Veyron is a masterpiece of engineering that is luxury and elegant but still as fast or faster than other supercars. The Bugatti Veyron is the true road- supercar but rather boring. Koenigsegg is also an amazing car, incredible looking and a BLAST of fun to drive... So I'd rather buy a Koenigsegg because if i want to ride in comfort on the road i'd just buy a cheap car like volvo :]

Actually it doesnt. The CCXR has over 1200hp and then it has an engine that can use ethanol gas which increases the engine 25%. HP isnt everything anyway.
