Sounds silly but i am Bi Racial (Quarter black) and always wondered where exactly i fit in with the world, cause i don't look black, or white. I love this musical, even though it's a "Black musical" because it looks at the "Where do i fit in" issue.

I was channel surfing saturday and fliiped on this show about a quarter on the way in. The song caught my ear so I kept watching and was BLOWN AWAY. This is one of the greatest blues rock musical I've seen up there with HAIR and Jesus Christ Superstar. They need to bring this show back its unfair that everyone cant get a chance to see this live.

thank God..because there needs to be a black musical that reflects all the variations, shades and cultures of black, rather than just one idea. it shows a different POV.

I love how at the end of Amsterdam his Mother says "Why don't you want to be around your own people?". That line is all too familiar for so many people.
