After hearing the album, I can safely say that my best hopes were confirmed beyond expectation. This is CLASSIC AIC. Layne is smiling down from heaven at what Jerry, William, Sean, and Mike have accomplished - that I am sure of. Way to go, guys! I shouldn't have worried, though. With Jerry still in the band, the sound was bound to be in thame ballpark. And if the material sucked, he would have kept working on it until it felt right. I would have expected nothing less from him. A+!

Layne's voice was unique, but I'm glad Will's voice's great too. I think it shows great respect to what the band was and to what it is now. It's a nice way to move on and honour Layne without being lame

I agree. Layne can never be replaced, but William is FAR from a bad vocalist, and to his credit, he's not trying to just copy Layne with no feeling. He brings his own "voice" to the part, and the funny thing is, I can still hear a fair amount of Layne in his vocals. It's almost like he is honoring Layne's memory by channeling him subconciously. And based on the 2 singles, I'd say the new album is gonna kick some serious ass!

im not gonna lie, im a hardcore AiC fan, and a huge Layne Staley fan, i mean huge. And yes I was dissappointed when i first heard they had replaced him with duvall. But honestly it's a good song. It hurts to say it, being a huge Layne fan and realizing that he aint gonna be there anymore. That's the feeling i get when I hear this song, but it's a good song.

While AIC will never be the same without Layne, based on this performance, if the rest of the album is like this, the fans should be very pleased. If they aren't, it's not fair to place the blame solely on William Duvall. NOBODY can ever replace Layne, and I'm sure William knows that more than anyone. Based on this song, I'd say he's a very competent vocalist who suits the mood. As long as his performance on the album is as consistent as on this song, I'd say this album is gonna kick ass!
