I never liked the anime pretty much to be honest, the only (and major for me and a few fans) problem in the games are that the rivals are a bit pathetic, the DPP rival...You cant take it serious, the RSE is not something to call a rival...The games still awesome for me.

Their English names are Lucas, Dawn and Damion. Their Japanese names are Kouki, Hikari, and Jun.

the boy name is ash and the girls name is dawn and your rival name Jackie from the pokemon ranger movie because they both have the same hair colour yellow/blonde. the boy starter is turtwig and the female choose piplup and your rival chooes chimcar. or the boy choose choose piplup in diamond means water and the female choose chimcar in pearl means fire and your rival choose turtwig. that sounds right.
