The old model driver is not good enough. When exiting from corners, the New modle is shifting down to 1st gear, while the old one is keeping the second that's why the new model has a better acceleration on such exits. The old model should shift to 1st as well, specially that he has a longer ratio first gear which allows him to shift to 1st gear even earlier.

The Ap1 is a better car. Handling differences are so similar its not funny. I'll stick with my Ap1!
