In a way I feel sorry London has to follow on the Beijing Olympics - since no nation can pull off anything as impressive as Beijing's - the most spectacular, breathtaking ceremony & choreography of people ever seen!! The logo for London is a lazy mess too. London doesn't have the same size & capacity as the ceremony in Beijing though - so it's not going to be anything as breathtaking - I think London will be spending more on security! I'm excited still, but dreading the security & crowds!

Beijing has done a FANTASTIC job with the summer games....I've started watching and following the olympics summer and winter since 1992 in Barcelona. Since then every city that hosted has out done the ceremonies....but what Beijing CHINA has showed us what they can do they are by FAR the best city to host aside from the political world...I don't think london has the chops to display that kind of pageantry...look at the LOGO it is one UGLY MOFO!!!!

no actually, all of the 29 footsteps fireworks were real. if you were there in china looking over beijing you would see it. it's just that helicopters can't get so close to record it so they had to "enhance" it on TV, but nontheless, the footsteps were real.
