  • my history teacher brought me here

  • A Noble People off the Nobility of Humankind: a touching Music worthy of this People.

  • Greetings my most spiritual and loving in the eyes of the Great Spirit. I really have great love and respect for all Native Americans, only wish I honor the for fathers whom teach us.

    Your friend, Anton

  • I was in a blind anger for very much of today, until this video showed itself on my "you should watch" page. I can say, I am White, but try my hardest to be red, not because of pity for myself or my skin color, but because I see the Red Road as the right road to follow. We do not love and care for mother nature and her children near as much as we used to. I am from South Dakota, possibly the richest state in Native American cuture and history. I am proud of where I am from, many thanks.

  • Thank you for posting this awesome video!!!

  • What a great song and what a fantastic video. It makes me yearn for the culture of the past. I want a CD of this stuff. Where can I find it?

  • @katydidscorner Thanks for your note. I appreciate the effort. I agree totally and educations is so important. When I was a teacher (21.7 years) I taught about the First Nations through, song, stories and other materials, not the Hollywood version or quaint Thanksgiving story or other "history" that the US government created. The real story can be found in many places. UNtil I started sharing about Native Americans some of my students thought they were extinct!

  • very nice :)

  • amazing

  • time returns

    those that can hear hear

  • To all of us who have Native American....Can you not feel the Great Spirit rising up and pulling us all together????? Cherokee...Forever and Always.....Pokee......Thank you ....Jesus....I have dreams and visions.....Great....Yes...

  • To all of us who have Native American....Can you not feel the Great Spirit rising up and pulling us all together????? Cherokee...Forever and Always.....Pokee......Thank you ....Jesus....

  • Thank you for the music she give me power for my ghost. I have respect and a heart for Indians . My idol is Sitting Bull . Thank my Red friends

    .

  • nice thanx

  • Very nice video. Thank you for making it. I have always felt the Native Americans were not accurately portrayed in the media. Since the beginning of colonization, the white nation has spread propaganda through the media to discriminate against these beautiful people. I write Native American fiction about the Shawnee people. My goal to show these wonderful people were not the barbarians history has made then to be portrayed as. I love the Native American culture.

  • My wife and I am pleased to hear this Native American Music!!!!! PLease reach out to this troubled Country more with these Spiritual Plays in truth honor and wisdom!!!!

    Douglas and Miraim McCleary.

  • Beautiful♥

  • I'm apache indian-/3

  • Man of this world I hate for them killing all our precvious wolves and wildlife.KARMA of the spiritwill come to them each. I have Blackfoot Indian, I hate the white in me. But love my spirt of love for all animals.

  • I'm doing research for a game that uses Native American spiritualism as it's them and stumbled upon this song. Way too epic.

  • Great video!

People should not feel shame for what was done to the natives. People should see past the skin, and see what it is we have done to our brothers and sisters!

They fought and died honorably for what they believed.

Live true, and make sure this never happens again, to anyone. Honor our mother, without guilt.

    <3

  • I am an Native American I am still living out of all of you who don't believe me you are just jerks learn your history my grandma was and Native American and I am proud to be Native American and to live here on earth Thank You for all your support for those who believe me!!!!

  • luv the music x the video..

  • i like history and ancient cultures i am no intellectual but of all the peoples of the world ive read of and lived with, there is no one more spiritual and connected wih the earth than the native american nations of the american west. how i envy you for you are closer o the creator than i, youre beauty and wisdom are beyond compare, only the lamas of tibet can even come close to this kind of spirituality

  • Hrm...they look a lot like me. Strange maybe we came from the same ancestors. Of course all human beings came out of Africa, but I wonder how close Native Americans are to Hmong and other Asians. Someone should do a genetic study.

This song probably resonates quietly among all those who have lost someone or country. Who ever you are, where ever you may be, what ever your beliefs are remember those who gave up their lives so we can live on on this 9/11 day of 2011.

  • Beautiful. Makes me wish I could go to more Pow Wows and other conventions to be with my people. It really does make my heart ache listening to these songs that it brings tears to my eyes.

  • I think I might be mixed with lakota.....

  • Some great paintings here - great track too

  • @MrLittleroots - Yes you are right - anyone who questions that won't have a place in changing the future. remember ... and this is important, a culture is not a culture if you have to try and preserve it. Any historic culture may need maintenance in the modern world but that purpose won't be served by complaining. If any of you wish to integrate the past with the future then it is up to you to do your part in making that future happen. There isn't any other way - I am not native but I know this

  • my grandma use to tell me keep going and now she is with the elders and i hope she is safe this song reminds me of her now that i can feel safe she ok by hearing this song i know she safe and to all of my broters and sister of native pride injoy life :)

  • @claptonbrucebaker - LOL - you are not wrong but equally you are not right - a debate like that can't receive any justice on You Tube - If you know history like you suggest that you do then the term ancient Briton is a contradiction as Britain is a Roman term and Britain as you know it was well conquered by them by that time - so less of yer guff - WelshCelt is just as worthy as you to admire his past albeit romantic, historic or otherwise

Truth is we all wan't to belong to something worthwile

  • Looking for Alex DeMontigny .. from Dakota's send him my way ..

Bless you true keepers of mother earth. Kia Kaha from NZ.

  • One day what was done to the native americans will come back on the white man.

when i saw the movie about wounded knee. my blood boiled inside.and I have hate that i'm white.

The Native Americans fought the Mexicans they fought the Spanish. When the white man brought there small poxs and killed off there buffalo.that what brought and end to the way of the INDIANS.

One day in the future the white man will PAY.

  • of all the cultures/societies/religions i hav had any contact with in my lifetime. i believe that the native american culture is the most spiritualy uplifting. i was taught that the religion i was raised in would fullfill my spiritual needs (if i contributed enough money) that religion certainly did not fullfill thier obligation. I sincerly believe that YOU guys got it right. Thanks!!!! Middle Aged White Man BE PROUD

  • ahh i love this side of the universe

  • This is so peaceful and relaxing! :)

  • very nice music!

  • Very nice and calm music

  • The sound of the drums awaken so much passion in me. It is so hard to watch the Ocean dying. They would not listen to our wisdom. Oh the tears that are in my heart,Oh how much it weeps. The earth she is angry. We warned but they did not listen. The trees have lost their luster. The flowers are sad. It makes me weep so. Chemtrails in the sky. I call out to my spirit guide. I call to my teacher guide.

White Buffalo please help me. I fly to you. The radiation is coming. Please guide me.

    ~Walk in truth & balance~

  • Every time I watch this video and see the buffalo running, it makes my heart race. I love going up to So. Dakota. it is so beautiful! I hope to go to the Rosebud Fair again this year and maybe talk with Inez again at the Lakota musuem in St. Francis.

  • I am white, but sometimes I think that I'm a Native stuck inside this body. I'm more drawn to the Native culture than the other. Then I learned from my father that I have a single drop of Mohawk in me. Since he told me that, I've clung to it, and even though no government would recognize that much, I do. I'd like to find someone who can tell me about the Mohawk culture. =)

  • I have no Native American roots whatsoever that I am aware of.. but I greatly appreciate their culture so much. It saddens me that such a great people were destroyed, their way of life is inspirational.

  • I love this music... It definately touches the soul.

  • don't forget that all natives from Alaska to tierra del fuego(Chile) are one people, DON'T LET WHITE PEOPLE DIVIDE US, LET'S NOT FORGET OUR REAL HERITAGE, OUR REAL ORIGEN......

  • its funny how whites kill 95% of the Native Americans and then talk about how much American they are more than the so called Mexicans....

  • Katy, you spend so much time preparing and sharing the wonderful Native American culture. Thank you so much for all you do. I just love this.

  • HOLY NATIVE AMERICANS WOOD

Video Editing on Native Americans - Song of The last of the Mohicans

    Madjacin (Algonquin)

  • * then they go

  • Yeah im tired of it, my favriote jacket has sitting bulls face on it and everyone says "oh are you indian?" i say yeah then the got me too im cherokee. Its pretty annoying man.

  • Cherokee is a lost nation, every white man i meet is " part cherokee". they claim because it is the most well known.

  • @wondrfulwondrfulweed And every white woman is a Cherokee princess. I met a Crow man once, and told him I was part native (I am fair skinned due to my Spanish/Irish roots) and he let a loud sigh and asked "What tribe?" I told him Comanche, he chuckled, and said "Man, I thought you were going to say Cherokee, I am actually tired of that, it's refreshing to meet a real white native"

  • love the video and the song. what is the song and who is the artist performing it.

  • Katy, Thanks for the beautiful video and song. The old footage of the buffalo is especially touching. The buffalo truly were "superwalmarts on hoofs". Also, great photos. It's good to see and hear that Native Pride is re-emerging. That's the way it should be! Wopila!

  • Katy, so sorry about what happened to Native Americans. I believe that so many white men were selfish, and greedy, but I also believe that many of us would have stood up for what is right if we had been there. It really breaks my heart. I recently visited our art museum to view Native American art, and I spoke with a lady there about Native American history, and just reflecting on the trail of tears alone, and what they must have experienced was so sad. I am so sorry. Peace and love to you!

  • Hi Katy Love your video!

  • i love this clip and the movie.

  • @katydidscorner thats why cajuns are here

  • Osiyo,

May the warm winds of heaven blow softly on your home.

And the Great Spirit bless all who enter there.

And may the rainbow always touch your shoulder.

    Peace, Love, and Respect.

  • @katydidscorner

I too am a Cherokee. But to claim North America simply because we arrived first from Asia isn't going to stand up in court.

Your logic gives the planet to the hominids of Africa.

  • Wonderful and good song, I love it it is very nice!!!

  • this touched my heart and soul. its so moving thank you

  • wowwwww is wonderful music

  • good video.

  • does anybody know of the watti tribe? im not sure if thats even the real name of my fathers tribe, i didnt grow up with him and unfortunately i never got to ask him before he left this world. I miss him so much and want to at least know the history of my family but there isnt anyone alive in my family i can ask. i tried researching the watti tribe but could find nothing, please does anyone knows of a tribe in the west that remotely sounds like watti

  • I wish I could be an Indian and I wish they were still alive. I could then be friends with them and learn about their culture and how they live. I have always wanted to be an Indian ever since I was a little girl but now I am 13 and I still want to be an Indian. Their music is so beautiful and Unique and Sympathizing I love it

  • @GabbieBourdeau There still around just go out west and u will be able to meet many

  • @GabbieBourdeau there are lots of american indians still around. we have over 300 tribes in North America still. My tribe has 70,000 enrolled members. Go to Oklahoma in the summer and come to our powwows. We are doing just fine. =)

  • @charsenDAO Sorry I would LOVE to but I live in Wyoming and I dont know if I can,

  • @GabbieBourdeau i saw University of Wyoming has a pow wow every April too, they have done it for almost 30 years now. =)

  • @charsenDAO 300 out of the original 500 isnt that great to me, it hurts to know the beauty of these people, was taken by whites, i am part cherokee, i only can wish now that things would be how they used to be, how they should be, in all things and within all things are we related

  • This is to my Brother Tatanka,I too am a Southern Cheyenne Full-blood, our roots are not our own any more.Everyday we as Human Beings are pushed further away from the soil that has sustained us. We are like trees in a nursey, we are grafted to other speices so our blood is not pure anymore. We would not die out there was too many of us.We would not go away.Where would we go?We live here.Yet try to be a NATIVE from here (US)& see who will help you go to college.

  • I AM THE LAST OF THE BLACK KETTLE SOUTHERN CHEYENNE..MY FATHER IS DYING-8 OF HIS CHILDREN GONE.HIS MOTHER GONE.I AM ALL THAT REMAINS OF THIS ONCE THRIVING TRIBE WHO WAS MASSACRED AT SAND CREEK-MEN,WOMEN AND CHILDREN..THEY WERE CAMPED OUTSIDE THE FORT AT SAND CREEK WHEN ATTACKED BY SETTLERS/SOLDIERS WHO HADN'T KILLED INDIANS IN AWHILE,SO THEY MASSACRED 250,000 SOUTHERN CHEYENNE,WHO HAD A WHITE FLAG AND AMERICAN FLAG GIVEN BY LINCOLN AS A SIGN OF PEACE

  • the westerner are the most evil ... they should look back to them self in the mirror not to just criticize on others and try to bullshit around with their western media !

  • I am Lakota "Oglala" Sioux and this video is very touching, It does us proud I feel and thank you for posting this from Pine Ridge Reservation Thumbs up all smiles.

  • look who they are calling SAVAGES..even the white people of today need to spit on those fuckers who nearly exterminated this beautyful culture

  • Thank you for uploading this Spirit filled video.

  • and the music is kickass too!

  • Everyone occupying America is an immigrant. Even the Native Americans came from Siberia. Yes the tactics that the first pioneers took to obtain land and repulsive behavior to the Native Americans was obscene on many degrees of humanity, but there was also a great deal of hatred from the Native Americans. And yes I am part Cherokee and Hispanic and White. No race is justified. Every race on this planet has been enslaved, even the 'whites', the Scots, the Irish, and the Pics, not to sound ass like

  • @sirenalol how dare u say we are immigrants..this is our motherland like every other indigenous nation in the world..we r built genetically for this landscape not siberia..wouldnt u be mad if strange people told u to leave ur homeland telling u that u dont fit o have no place in the world o ''the only good ndn is a dead ndn''..our hatred was due to the neglect of our indigenous rights!?we was back in a corner like a wild animal n like that animal we was push to far,so we fight back bc we had to

  • @chulah12 well sorry to point out the geological facts that yes, native americans originated from siberia and yes, then adapted to north american geology. and please dont tell me that everything native americans did was for 'fighting back' because both sides raped women and murdered children. so no, dont preach to me, hatred was shared on both sides, it takes two to wage war so im sorry if my comment pisses you off but, you have the option to ignore it, so i dont want to start a comment war, bye

  • @sirenalol the only proven fact was we fought bc we had to fight 4our way of life n heritage bc we arent white nor was they going make us slaves like the blacks..it takes two to wage a war but there is always one side that is worth fightimg for, that side was us,how dare you make a man a slave or take a wife o child he cant feed on wasteland..no,u wage war with your white ways seeing blindly that whites didnt take a heritage nor motherland for selfish intent then mock us as ''noble savages''

  • @chulah12 Ok.. first 'my white ways'? shove it, im part cherokee. second no one side of a war is always 'right' or perfect in what they fight for. yes i know that the pioneers came and started some shit, doesnt take a brainiac to figure it out. ok but it wasnt white minds, it was greedy, biast and twisted minds skin color be damned. and yeah, i think ANYONE who decides a counter attack by raping and pillaging is a scared little bitch, race be damned. indian or white, a soul is a soul

  • @sirenalol they took the redman's image n way of life..the black man's pride n labor..exploited the chinese man..then they preach good words that we r equal n r freedom fighters..our last ndn war took place in the late 1960 to 1970s at wounded knee..where the u.s. gov. was illegally steralizing oglala women n mining illegally uranium..which was poisioning our ndn people..so we fought back again..still today our children grw sicken..where is american equality for i dont see it nor feel it!?
