  • wow!

  • why did you leave the eyes for last?

  • Detail always come last man, always do shadows first.

  • that's not my way of doing it

I find that the eyes are the most important and if you sort of get them done justice in the beginning, then you need not worry with the rest....

(it would be disheartening if you'd done it all, taken the time, and then go slightly wrong with the eyes. In my opinion that would be a disaster)

But that's just me - there's no wrong way, and you did a wonderful job:) Keep it up!

  • @KatBjorky A lot of painters leave the eyes for last. Perhaps one of the reasons is that it's easy to overwork the eyes since they a common focal point in a portrait and then it can be difficult to match them to the rest of the portrait (ex: lack of balance in tonal relationships). If you struggle to draw the eyes, though, that might be a good reason to do them first but then you can run into the problems matching your perfectly captured eyes to the rest of the portrait. Whatever works for you.

  • @stinky472 ok I understand, It seems I just don't fall into that category of artists who do the eyes last. Fine by me. Whatever floats the boat ;)

  • HOW did you DO it ??

    Brilliant !!!
