Yeah who doesnt wanna have to pay for two separate things that cost more instead of the price being cheaper for just one simple name that does exactly the same thing -_- I wonder why they lost half there customers apologies and still doesn't lower his prices ... What kind of dumb person runs this thing (no offense) -_-
For the same price as one month of Netflix, you can stream, download, and watch new movies (even in theatres!), on ANY Smart device... w w w newmovieseverywhere c o m
i cant easily see if something i was going to get on dvd can be streamed? phuck that. netflix was nice because of its convience not just the fact that you could have dvd's mailed to you. obviously netflix doesnt know where its value stands.
i thought $16 wasnt bad. i mean streaming didnt really offer that much, nothing in the way of new movies or tv shows, but for the entire service i felt it was worth it. BUT, then they told us they were "apologizing" and not only not changing the prices but making me use two different websites for their services? separate queues?
....how in the hell are some of you not getting the satire in this? it isn't that complicated, go watch "An explanation and some reflections" OR read his blog and then come back and re-watch this...it might help....but maybe not.
I predict Netflix will become a verb. As in, "That CEO really pulled a Netflix.", meaning, he turned his wildly successful company into a bankruptcy candidate in just 2-3 insanely stupid moves.
Well now i see two companies that will become sacrifice to recession. to those who work for these two. please look for another job before its too late. your ceo doesn't care because his money comes from other companies he runs.
@LightWthoutTheStatic Yes this video isnt from Netflix. Yes this video doesnt explain very much, but go read Reed Hasting's actual blog post and you'll see the humor in this.
All this video did was add the customer side of the conversation to his blog posts. Pretty much everything the Reed Hastings Character says in this video, Reed Hastings actually said in his blog post, albeit its said in a more conversational manner here (i.e. slightly reworded)
@lordsmugger Its you who apparently cant formulate a decent thought. The reaction of "This is brilliant" is in relation to the hilariousness of this video which clearly recognizes Reed Hasting's shitty apology for what it is.
Reed Hasting's had nothing to do with the creation of this video and if you thought differently well then I guess you're the sheep
1). A corporate advocate who enlists a deceptively emotionalized PR campaign to sway the publics perception of a disadvantageous business maneuver. 2). Individual proficient at slight of hand. 3). Sly.
"The corporate office sent in the Qwikster to do damage control after the customer base abandoned their over priced new business model."
@ Everybody who said this was great/brilliant/etc.. YOU ARE ALL SHEEP! You can't formulate a decent thought, much less recognize a shitty apology for what it is.
@LightWthoutTheStatic I completely Agree with you. This whole video was a simple waste of time, money and brain power. The CEO of Netflix should be fired after this shit..
@bwaryn Because it doesn't actually say anything. It doesn't explain much and it's 2:43 of extended punchlines that never really resolve. At first I thought it was a creative apology by the actual netflix company. And then it wasnt.
@LightWthoutTheStatic - I thought it was funny that you momentarily thought this was from NetFux, but the more I think about it, if they had used XtraNormal to create their apology/explanation/waste of my time/lies, it would have been free and not as infuriating as actually seeing the face of that dickless wonder of a CEO make an ass out of himself and his sidekick "Andy"... lol
Qwikster my Ass..............They should rename their company Shyster. Fear not Netflix no one is going to fall for this. May I suggest you apologize, make some kind of amends and go back to your old price structure. Oh you are keeping the new prices......BLOW-ME.

Great video! I can't believe what Netflix has done to the company that we loved ( I'm not sure but is that Netflixgoddess that Reed is dumping on?)
