Great video. Definitely the part of religion that deserves a full challenge! I guess when men can bear children, I might, maybe possibly, but most likely not, say they should have a say in what a woman is free to do with her own body.
Not really. izakdavid used to put teasers out there to draw people to his site, but all they were looking for was the porn shots. I have used some as video responses and have gotten viewers I did not have before. The other thing is, you can post them on other sites, Mu Space and the like.
I'm actually considering giving up on You Tube. There's an incredible amount of hate here, but there are also some really fantastic people. I'm thinking maybe it would be best to form a group with them, and avoid drawing in the haters. Haven't decided yet. But already some have left, I don't want to be here alone with the hate. On hate - do you think that these flailing demonstrations of hate from those who claim to be part of all loving, compassionate and forgiving religions - will teach outsiders who see them for what they are?
Beside the Phelps videos, I don't see that much hate from theists actually. Most of the flack I've gotten has been from other atheists who profess to be free thinking. I think they are fed up with persecution and are fighting back. Not my style. I promote mutual respect and fight the bastards in the courts. But my tolerance is pretty high, I draw my line at when theist beliefs lead to death.

to play devil's advocate, if you believe in evoulution and the early hunter gatherer human scenario, it was essential that roles be divivded (women stay in the cave with kids, and men hunt) to compensate for lack of resources but as civilization flourished and resources became stable it was no longer necessary but still true
Yes I understand some of the origins, but women did not, nor do they in similar societies now, 'stay in the cave with the kids' They were/are out in the fields or doing the gathering - food, wood, water.
