  • Well nobody can claim he didn't land it, maybe he was just pulling the "panicking whilst upside down" manoeuvre.

  • i'm sorry but this made me lol

  • y would someone strait line that

  • fair play for having the balls take the next step , im pretty sure i'd chicken it :)

  • o fudge monkeys

  • Boy do ik how that feels t thought I broke my back when I landed straight on my ass of the last run of my year last year

  • been there done that. once you commit to a jump, you have to follow through and embrace the kicker

  • guy 1: ''oh god''

    guy 2: ''oh fuck''

    classic :P

  • everyone was all pissed because when your friend gets hurt , your days also done too

  • Two rules about snowboard jumping:

    1) Speed bump your jump.

Roll over your jump at "speed bump" speed.

Know you take off area and landing area surfaces & clearances.

    2) NEVER ramp off your heel side edge!

Notice how the last edge he rode before lift off was his heel edge?

Once you are on your heel edge, your weight is on your ass...seated position is DAMN hard to recover from once you're airborne.

  • @PavePaws what if you're doing a front spin then you ALWAYS go off the heel edge.

  • @killjoysxe clearly that comment was not intended for people who are spinning off jumps like that, they probably already go their technique down reasonably well ; )

  • after that just say man I almost landed that back flip but hesitated trust me it gets you style points.(;

  • From here it doesn't just look like he cleared the knuckle.. it looks like he cleared the whole landing area... dude speed checks are there for a reason..

Good thing you didn't get major injuries

  • Press 8 repeatedly.

  • OH FUCK! lol

  • he was booking it

  • At least he cleared it.

  • @snowshow3 that was exactly what i was about to say until i scrolled down and saw that you had already posted that comment in the exact words. for that, i do not like you and you have ruined my day lol

  • pmsl ! the OH FUCK says it all

  • To be fair the run ins to those jumps are so strange, you hit the flat and then you have to climb up hill to reach the lip. Also when i went the landings were overly steep. I just keep to the rails, the jumps were just all wrong.

  • ACTIVATE: RAGDOLL MODE!

  • @Endopraritelsman ahahahaha awesome call

  • @Endopraritelsman Hahahahahaaaaa ohhh shiet i just died from that comment ahahaha!

  • Lol I did that a few days ago but it was a bigger jump and i had more speed but I didnt rotate upside down just i was on my butt/back

  • hahaha

  • lol booked it hard

  • How do i stop my legs from getting whipped out from under me on theses more vertical jumps? I can hit smaller ones but on the more vertical quarter pipes i just bail.

  • explain

like your legs go up above u or out to the side or what

  • @Tyrolbasinrider Like my legs get thrown out to the side and i end up landing on my side, even though i'm flat base when i hit the jump... Is it because i'm just popping off the jump?

  • if u pop like an ollie on flatland u should b fine

but if you are really jumping and your foward lean is set anywhere above nuetral (i didnt spll that right) it would lean you foward

  • @fergalbyrne don't lean backwards, try and keep straight with your shoulders parallel to the ground and don't jump of your back foot at the end of lip.

  • same thing happend to my friend on a big ass jump landed so hard on his back idk how he didnt break it

  • that#s what happened to me

  • ouch.

  • Looks like you were a lil heavy on your heals dude....

  • not a good idea dude... you know when you dont have the ability to do something..

  • you didnt speed check at all, bad move.. you got lucky to not get hurt dude

  • I got away with just a few minor cuts. I had been doing the smaller jump to the right absolutely fine for two or three days, so I thought I'd give this one a go. I suspect I just panicked due to going faster and the ramp being more vertical than I expected.

  • yikes man. glad you were alright. ouch. but seriously, no major injuries?

  • @baychae

were you trying to like 180/360 it? or that was actually like just an attempt at jumping it

  • @baychae same thing happened to me off around same size jump, mine was 35 ft kicker, anyway i got away with a fork wrist that needed to be surgically reattached into place, and a metal plate... but thats not all... I also ended up with 2 months of physio therapy for a torn LCL...

  • Yeah, if that was his first time doing a jump, then that was a bad choice. Start small and work your way up. Did he break his back?
