thats how i groom yorkies as well i prefer WAHL gaurd combs though i hate grooming those 3lbs skinny fragile yorkies, shes the perfect size though

@YesSirPlease I usually do it after, as it washes away any hair that was cut but left on the dog.

But you should "mist" the hair for a better cut, much as a barber will do to you.
