  • .223 or 5.56

  • @lilblitz

Lol same thing man, .223 is the caliber and 5.56 is the metric caliber, if its 5.56 NATO thats a different story.

  • @705Ibanez This gun comes in both I believe, the 5.56 although the same size has a thicker casing and is a higher pressure round, the difference is in the rifle it's self the way the round is chambered before firing the 5.56 I understand lines it a bit higher so the pressure is discharged completely down the barrel so putting that higher pressure round in a barrel that lines it up slightly lower ruins the gun but the other way round its fine, maybe some loss in velocity and accuracy

  • @lilblitz

Actually the 5.56 NATO and the .223 rem have the exact same dimensions, the only difference is that the 5.56 NATO creates higher chamber pressure. So in a 5.56 NATO rifle you can shoot .223 but not vice versa.

  • @705Ibanez yea so what i said, the casing is thicker internally, get some pliers and a bench vice and take a look the brass is thicker on a 5.56 nato, i promise you

  • Almost on fire lol! Not a good rifle if it smokes like that.

  • Look how fast the bolt cycles compared to an AR.

  • @314edwood that is where the gases are discharged from.

  • why is it smoking towards the end of the video? was it cold? was the plastic melting? just curios be cause i plan on buying one...

  • @314edwood my guess would it was condensation evaporating off the gas tube.

  • looks like a big pile of plastic to me... can someone tell me what advantages this has over any other modern rifles?

  • @lexmark136 The action in it is better than either DI or GP (the only choices in an AR) because, regardless of length of barrel, OR the addition of a suppressor, the user doesn't have to regulate the gas - whether for too much or too little.

The AR has a tendency, ESPECIALLY with a silencer, to dump extra crud back in on the internals.

Aside from that, there is some similarities between this and the use of a Benelli shotgun. Makes cross-training easy because of familiarity.

  • @lexmark136 Accurate, clean, very ergonomic. Besides that, it's just like any other 5.56 sporting rifle.

  • what kind of rounds were you shooting?

  • Is it true that the MR1 can take M-16 magazines? And what is the price range for one of these? I am a huge Benelli fan, I have a Nova and love it, and I am thinking about getting rifle and this one looks really sweet...

  • @MexicanDoctorJ yes it does take regular ar mags..

  • @sabungero22 Now, here's a good question: Can it use PMags?

  • @Moosezorz It can use PMags, but I have READ that they are a tighter fit. Specifically, they don't drop free like the standard issue.

I'm am 95% certain that a Beta-C mag will NOT work.

  • @MexicanDoctorJ I found one at my local store for $1100, and yes they accept M-16 mags, including hi-cap ones.

  • Does it accept PMags? The Lancer L5?

  • oooohhhh.... i just shelled out over a grand for one of these babies, today. i love some benelli. nice optic on that.

  • @evpster im confused , its a shotgun that shoots .223 bullets and the nato bullets? sorry if i sound stupid, but fill me in on what ammo it uses

  • I'm left'handed, can I use it without problems? ...thank you...

    Greetings from Italy!

  • @Mixolydian87 what the heck is an auto sniper?

  • @devldawgg hes playing counter strike

  • Comment removed

  • It looks like there's a little to much oil on that beautiful piece of machinery. It shouldn't smoke like that.

  • AMERICA, Isn't it GREAT!?!?!?!

  • @Victore2012 of course, but this gun is Italian

  • Whoa shit it even has vents in the barrel on the side so it doesn't get in your scope.

That's genius, I want this gun.

  • I'm fucking sold!!!

    $1,200? a pop?

    No problem

  • You need an auto sniper for home defense?

  • @Mixolydian8

I was asking myself the same question... What sort of a country you live in when you need these kinds of guns to protect your home?

In my country a baseball-bat will do just fine...

    Great gun BTW :p

  • The sort of country with open borders where the dregs of society continue to pour in... the good ole US of A.

  • Peace through superior fire power.

  • "auto sniper"? it's a modern rifle. semi-automatic, fires an intermediate cartridge, accepts standard 30 round magazines, and has a rail for mounting a wide variety of optics. there's no reason why we should limit ourselves to out-dated technology for personal defense.

  • My best group was an inch at 100yds using 55gr factory ammo..

  • 1 moa is nice for that rifle. What brand ammo were you using? How is the trigger pull on it, looks crisp from the video? How hard is it to clean? I heard the gas system is pretty decent and is better than an AR as far as fouling. Let me know your thoughts when you have a moment. Thanks!

  • @sabungero22 what kind of ammo is that capable of shooting? confused

  • @longfootbuddy Well, it's not a shotgun, its a full on rifle (mainly for home defense) there are carbine looking shotguns benelli makes called the Benelli M4 (confusing huh?) and another rifle called the R1, (mostly for hunting I think) This MR1 rifle is for homedefense or carbine sport uses and chambers only the .223/5.56

  • @SuperSneakySniper i got ya...say, what do the laws say in regards to having to register these types of guns when you buy them?.. im totally against having to register guns (not because i want to be a criminal, but because i think its illegal for the goverment to infringe on our gun rights), and i want a home defence type, semi auto shotgun or maybe this mr1 rifle.. im thinking they require us to register handguns, but what about these semi auto shotguns and stuff?

  • @longfootbuddy Umm, that probably depends on which state you're in, im in california and its really bad gun law wise here. :c Anyways, here, you MUST have ANY firearm registered in your name if that's what you mean, i dunno bout' other states. (Altho i did just buy a used shotgun and didn't register it cuz i got it from a frend O.o) by register, they just put u thro some paperwork and have your backround checked and give you a ten day wait period then it's done.

  • @SuperSneakySniper aside from me getting pissed over the issue, because goverment isnt suppose to deny us the right to carry guns (which is what it is doing when they insist you register, get permits, or jump through theyr hoops), i also fear that they will use the records of gun owners to confiscate your gun somewhere down the line, and id much rather them not have me on a list... of course theyll say its just to track criminals, but if guns were ever made illegal, theyd call us all criminals

  • @sabungero22 try 62grn... :) handloaded

  • I just jizzed my pants man
