I read from wikipedia that HoD has sacrificed music quality for the graphics. I want a remake because I want to listen the music at it's full glory and that Juste is one of the coolest Belmonts

@ultmgammer Sonia Belmont is non-canon. Trevor Belmont and Alucard are both canon in the castlevania series. Also, the way Trevor was born could be made in many different ways. Read up on the castlevania lore to see what is and is not canon.

@AdventNoOmega1 Actually, Dawn of Sorrow Julius is his weakest form, which IS cannon. After he opens the gateway to the final dungeon, he nearly collapses and says to Soma when he passes him. "Getting old is a terrible thing." Also, Julius Mode is cannon with DoS's bad ending, not just an Easter Egg. It is what would have happened if Soma allowed himself to become the Dark Lord.

@DevilSoma Well he said in the description it was the greatest Belmonts, and the ones he selected for the medley are the same five used in Portrait of Ruin's Greatest Five Dual-Crush. It sort of makes sense that the others wouldn't be included if Konami themselves reference these five as the greatest Belmonts.
@cactuar88 I can agree that gameplay can tell you if a character is stornger in game 1 over game 2, but your forgetting that Castlevania's Story takes place over 905 years (1094-1999 Dracula is dead after that) and we also have to take into account the limitaions of the systems in which the game was on. An example of this is Alucard. He is playable in CV3 & SOTN, but he was Stronger in CV3. Reason for this is he hadn't sealed his Vampiric powers yet. Gameplay alone won't tell you the stongest.
Juste Belmont is one of the strongest, he not only possesed incredible skill (he was given the Vampire Killer whip at his 16 years old) but he also know magical spells and rescued his 2 friends from Dracula´s wraith
Richter Belmont could be the 3rd strongest belmont as his raw power and item crashes exceed the other belmonts, he was 18 when he battled dracula (he didn´t get any help from Maria when facing dracula) , but his mind was weak...likely a trait of Soleiyu Belmont
Leon is the weakest, he could barely defeat death and had most problems with vampires (he was the first belmont so this is understandable)
Trevor battled a Full power Dracula with the help of Grant,Sypha and Alucard , so he ´s kinda powerful but not quite
Simon battled a revived dracula (his power was halved) and got curse after that, seven years later he searched over the remains to revive and defeat dracula once again( simon showed his will to survive)
When someone says that Simon Belmont is the best character betwen Belmonts only cuz he can use his whip in 8 direction...I just want to punch someone in the face....seriously, that's the most stupid reason to prefer a character

Reach is a more advanced game then Halo-Halo 3. Same reason as with Castlevania. 4/Check profiles, Never assume anything.

Second Strongest is most likly Juste, simply becasue he can agument the Vamipre Killer where as no other Belmont can. 3rd strongest my guess would be Simon, why He's Simon do I really need to explain? 4th would most likly be a 3 way tie between Leon, Travor & Christopher, then dead last is Richter, why? @devilbelmont You forgot Christopher Belmont (1576 & 1591) The only other Belmont that matters and only other Belmont other then Simon to fight and defeat Dracula Twice (Kill once). Also it's 1797 when SOTN takes place. But you can like Richter all you want, but based on the evidence Richter is the weakest and wrost of the Belmont Bloodline.

Richter depending on his carnation is iffy, Rondo of Blood/X Chronicles had to be his best appearences. Richter COULD be right along Simon and Julius if not for the obvious...He is the only belmont weak enough to be brainwashed by Dracula. I forgot wether Leon or Christopher came first, so many plotholes.
The Belmont family following order confuses me. I can never get the arrangement right of how the whip was passed down through the centuries. All I know is Trevor was the first Belmont who managed to slay Dracula and the son of Alucard, I think. Was he the 3rd Belmont to have the whip? Was Sonya the 2nd? Which was Simon? And Juste and Julius? When were they?
Lose Richter add Julius, sorry fans of Richter but he is the wrost Belmont ever. Here is a quick run down of his fails. 1/Got taken over by the same man he killed twice (Shaft) 2/Only weakend Dracula didn't kill him with help from Maria (Check the Castlevania Canon) 3/Was defeated in battle by a weakend state Alucard (sealed away his vampiric powers at the end of Castlevania 3, and just woke up in SOTN)a HALF vampire WHILE being aided by Shaft. Needless to say Richter Sucks as a Belmont.
@rodagnev83 That's an easy one. Most of the modren day Castlevania fans get into the series with SOTN Thus the intense fan base for Richter. And FYI He is only in 3 games as a playable character 1/RoB 2/SOTN & 3/PoR (In which Konami didn't spell his name right, it was spelled Richiter) Where as Simon Belmont has the most camios/games then any other Belmont. Oh and Richter wasn't in Judgement but Maria was, +1 Maria. Most Richter fans are like most FF7 Fans.
And sadly with the latest Catlevania, The Whole family ceased to exist as the first Belmont was bloody Dracula, I really hope I'm wrong please someone prove me wrong I need to know, because funny enough for once in my life I fear being right

I'm sure Lords of Shadow was a fine game, but storywise I don't like that it went off into left field with the whole "lol the Belmont's really Dracula" thing. Making it its own game and not throwing Castlevania onto the title would have been fine.

Lords of Shadow is a full reboot - the idea was to make the game accessible to everyone who hadn't ever touched the series before. Essentially, just consider it an entirely separate story that has nothing to do with the established characters we all know and love (though for a God of War copy, it was surprisingly good. And the writing was, in all but one case, excellent).
Can't help but note everyone else has heroic, upright poses, and Simon is just there hunched in the background like he's about to go primal on something. Fitting.
simons the best right? hes gotta be. hes the only one to fight and beat dracula more than once. and the only one to beat dracula on his own without anyone else in the castle. he even went out of his way to get draculas remains so he could resurrect him so he could kill him again. thats THUG. he just rolls up all G and shit, cracks his whip at the entrance and dracula shits himself and starts spamming medusa heads screaming "AHHHH TEH SCAREE MAN IS COMING TO GET MEEEEEE!!!!!!!!"
Julius is the 'current' Belmont. Not quite legendary just yet. The debate for 'most powerful' Belmont of all time sort of sits between Julius and Richter.
Richter had amazing potential and is stated to be the most powerful Belmont of his time. However, Julius IS the one that defeated Dracula once and for all.

@MastaGambit i doubt that it would have corrupted them. take alucard for example, he is dracula's son and yet he isn't evil. and you have to admit that it would explain alot of the belmonts power. Also, sonia USED to be a canonical character until Leon was introduced. and trevor's adventure comes chronologically before christophers, completely ruling out that christopher is sonia's son. This is also hinted at during the ending of legends when Sonia says how her descendents will fight dracula
@XCandyman19 Alucard did not choose to follow in Dracula's footsteps simply upon his own volition. The reason I say that it would have corrupted the rest of the Belmont bloodline after her is because Alucard has vampiric blood. Regardless of whether or not Alucard was evil, the fact that the belmont bloodline has vampiric blood in their pool means that they will then possess vampiric traits. Especially Trevor.

Shanoa (Sometime in the 19th century, game doesn't say year)
Quincey Morris 1897 (Yes the book is apart of the timeline)
John Morris 1917

@AdventNoOmega1 1.its not what i call evidence, you need something to prove and in this case thats impossible 2. :D i have favorite franchises too but never do i think of comparing the fictional characters in it for the same reason as i said in number one 3. if i do need to compare them, i do it in gamplay since thats the only way of actually comparing them at all, so yes it is very obvious 4. this is the internet, always assume everyone is a guy and you wont get dissapointed <3

@DevilWithoutaCuase Julius is the strongest for not just sealing Castlevania in a Solar Eclipse, but for killing Dracula for good. Second Strongest is most likly Juste, simply becasue he can agument the Vamipre Killer where as no other Belmont can. 3rd strongest my guess would be Simon, why He's Simon do I really need to explain? 4th would most likly be a 3 way tie between Leon, Travor & Christopher, then dead last is Richter, why? It wasn't Dracula who brainwashed him it was Shaft.

Personal favorite is Simon. He was the first Belmont to defeat Dracula by himself, and was dying the second time he kicked Drac's arse.

@devilbelmont You forgot Christopher Belmont (1576 & 1591) The only other Belmont that matters and only other Belmont other then Simon to fight and defeat Dracula Twice (Kill once). Also it's 1797 when SOTN takes place. But you can like Richter all you want, but based on the evidence Richter is the weakest and wrost of the Belmont Bloodline.

@AdventNoOmega1 The strongest is Julius, due to him throwing castlevania into the goddamn sun. Simon I have to say would be a close second to BEST, but not strongest. Richter depending on his carnation is iffy, Rondo of Blood/X Chronicles had to be his best appearences. Richter COULD be right along Simon and Julius if not for the obvious...He is the only belmont weak enough to be brainwashed by Dracula. I forgot wether Leon or Christopher came first, so many plotholes.

The Belmont family following order confuses me. I can never get the arrangement right of how the whip was passed down through the centuries. All I know is Trevor was the first Belmont who managed to slay Dracula and the son of Alucard, I think. Was he the 3rd Belmont to have the whip? Was Sonya the 2nd? Which was Simon? And Juste and Julius? When were they?

Lose Richter add Julius, sorry fans of Richter but he is the wrost Belmont ever. Here is a quick run down of his fails. 1/Got taken over by the same man he killed twice (Shaft) 2/Only weakend Dracula didn't kill him with help from Maria (Check the Castlevania Canon) 3/Was defeated in battle by a weakend state Alucard (sealed away his vampiric powers at the end of Castlevania 3, and just woke up in SOTN)a HALF vampire WHILE being aided by Shaft. Needless to say Richter Sucks as a Belmont.

@rodagnev83 That's an easy one. Most of the modren day Castlevania fans get into the series with SOTN Thus the intense fan base for Richter. And FYI He is only in 3 games as a playable character 1/RoB 2/SOTN & 3/PoR (In which Konami didn't spell his name right, it was spelled Richiter) Where as Simon Belmont has the most camios/games then any other Belmont. Oh and Richter wasn't in Judgement but Maria was, +1 Maria. Most Richter fans are like most FF7 Fans.

richter "ryu" belmont - (for me the best belmont ever) 1792 & 1796

there are more belmonts but those five are like the main belmonts of the series

I'm sure Lords of Shadow was a fine game, but storywise I don't like that it went off into left field with the whole "lol the Belmont's really Dracula" thing. Making it its own game and not throwing Castlevania onto the title would have been fine.

Lords of Shadow is a full reboot - the idea was to make the game accessible to everyone who hadn't ever touched the series before. Essentially, just consider it an entirely separate story that has nothing to do with the established characters we all know and love (though for a God of War copy, it was surprisingly good. And the writing was, in all but one case, excellent).

Julius is the 'current' Belmont. Not quite legendary just yet. The debate for 'most powerful' Belmont of all time sort of sits between Julius and Richter.
Richter had amazing potential and is stated to be the most powerful Belmont of his time. However, Julius IS the one that defeated Dracula once and for all.

@Mathenaut there is a lot of debate about that. each belmont had their own personal strengths and weaknesses. here's some examples.
Leon: first belmont, had the ability to use different elemental whips and such.
Trevor: had companions but was a skilled fighter
Simon: Fought dracula on SEVERAL occasions and kicked ass each time
Richter: Strong fighter, user of item crashes
Juste: weaker than the other belmonts but a stronger magic user
Julius: Killed dracula once and for all

@MastaGambit i doubt that it would have corrupted them. take alucard for example, he is dracula's son and yet he isn't evil. and you have to admit that it would explain alot of the belmonts power. Also, sonia USED to be a canonical character until Leon was introduced. and trevor's adventure comes chronologically before christophers, completely ruling out that christopher is sonia's son. This is also hinted at during the ending of legends when Sonia says how her descendents will fight dracula

@XCandyman19 Alucard did not choose to follow in Dracula's footsteps simply upon his own volition. The reason I say that it would have corrupted the rest of the Belmont bloodline after her is because Alucard has vampiric blood. Regardless of whether or not Alucard was evil, the fact that the belmont bloodline has vampiric blood in their pool means that they will then possess vampiric traits. Especially Trevor.

yup,i have that game,and it's story says that he he's an orphan adopted and baptized by the order of light,and when he raised as an adult,gabriel adopted his last name from the belmont mountains,this is a new storyline, without any conection with the past games.
