MA is losing ALOT of its natural species. when i find eggs of these species, i take them home and make sure that ALL of them hatch in my garden, and then take them down to the marsh. In my area, over the past 7 years, the amount of spotted turtles in my marsh has trippled! SO exciting!
im from southeast mass. i've spent many summers in the woods and last year i saw my very first spotted turtle....i hear they are more common in western mass...great find
