  • legend tone and play. it would be a great help if you could give me the names of all the parts in your rack.

    all the best

    Rasmus

    Denmark ;-)

  • Man, did you use something, like a gate or noise supressor, to control the unwanted noise and feedback, when playing live and, naturally, loud ? 'Cause, sometimes, even using EMG single coils pups, I've had trouble with that. Cheers, and thanks a lot!

  • forgive my newbie question, but is the distortion coming from the JMP 1?

  • Would it be possible to run a Marshall JMP-1 through the effects loop of a Blackstar HT-5?

  • what brand of valve you have on Marshall? and how did you set the pre?

  • could you try to put a DIMarzio Super Distortion into the PC1 and compare it w/ the super 3? thanks

  • f the kids. turn that shit up haha

  • let me see if i understand! the distorcion is "created" only by the jmp 1? and the other things in your rack are "off" or dont interfere whit the distorcion, are only delays or reverbs? am i right? thanks :) (sorry for bad english im from south america)

  • love the sustainer of the pc 1

  • what is all in your rack man?

  • great tone demo, is the JMP a solid state or tube preamp?

  • @gunstabber tube=12ax7

  • @kamikazilynchmob ahh thanks

  • awsome sound & playing!

    cheers

  • i was just wondering can you plug the JMP straight into a cabinet and get a good sound?

  • @jackyrockgod you wont get ANY sound...need power amp

  • lol nice hysteria solo there in the mix.

  • very cool chinese lick at 1:26 man :) what is the cab?

  • badass

  • VERY COOL GUITAR RACK MY FRIEND

  • thats loud for a kid to be sleeping next door. lol

  • omg this sounds sooo f***ckn amazing. youve got a great tone man!

  • Have you got a compressor before the jmp-1?

  • Dude this is awesome, I'm thinking about getting a JMP-1

  • I´m also poud of owning one of these and it was worth all 350€!!!

  • LOL!!! If that's way down I can"t fantom way up. Dude that's a nice sounding rig!!!

    Great tone!!

  • hello, I wanted to know how versatile is this preamp because I am thinking of buying, and if it is very difficult or uncomfortable to use without foot switch? because the person who sold me does not. and whether to use the fair use of jmp? or use the clean amp? and that such distortions have?

  • I love that signature def leppard sound nice job!!!! I wish they still made the jmp-1 preamps.......

  • I have a fender twin amp fully tubed and i love the cleans on it there so nice! but i have a mesa/boogie studio preamp plugged into the poweramp section of the twin amp to use as a distortion because the fenders distortion isnt for me cause im more of a rock kinda grungey sounding guitar player and was wondering if theres a way i could use the mesa boogies distortion and the fenders clean tone at the same time and switch between.

  • Hey got a question for ya say i have a marshall cabinet and no amp head for it is JMP-1 a head basiclly ?

  • no. The JMP-1 is a preamp, it doesnt include a power section. The JMP-1 is all the EQ part. If you wanna get sound out of it you would need the poweramp

  • Im confused so if i have a amp head i can use it ?

  • you could use the JMP-1 in the effects loop of your head, because you would be bypassing all the EQ section.

  • A head is a power amp + EQ section(gain knobs, bass, middles, treble) for example a marshall JCM 2000 DSL

a preamp won work without the power section, because it is just a preamp where you control all the EQ settings. So you need a poweramp, or a head in order to get sound out of it.

  • so to make a whole amplifier unit, you need a preamp, power amp and a speaker cab?

  • yup. You can always get a marshall head like a JCM 2000 DSL that has the poweramp and preamp both included. Or a combo amp that has everything in one, thats why they are called combo amps.

  • cool

i heard that the jmp-1 is a valve preamp - but i dont see any tubes

  • Preamp tubes are smaller than power tubes, thats why they fit in a single space rack unit.

  • These tube are in lying position, all built - up, so, thats why you dont see it

  • .... perhaps because they're inside? lol what a lame comment. The JMP-1 actually uses two ECC83s

  • sounds kind ol solid state ish

  • Dude, great freakin' tone and classy licks!

  • whow man.., this is absolute awesome!!!

PC1 is next on my target list ;))) One of the greatest guitar I've ever seen ;)

  • dude, you sound just like phil collen, your tone and playing are amazing. Props man, you rock!

  • Да хуй его знает!

  • блять откуда стока бабла????

  • Do you think the ADA MP-1 is as good as the JMP-1? Im going for a distortion sound, but not that deathy and messy like thrash

  • F$%k the people next door.

  • LOLOL OH YEs Thats Very Quiet LOL Nice!!! Wake Em Up!!!

  • can some one help me what is the Marshall JMP-1 and what dose it do

  • The JMP-1 is a tube preamp. Much like the preamp found in an amp. But ill let the pros do the talking. Ive only got a sketchy idea of what it is exactly.

  • Every amp is made up of two parts: the preamp section and the poweramp section.

You can buy preamps on their own though in a rackmount format, and use them with whatever poweramp you like (in this case, the 20 watt EL84 20/20 stereo poweramp)

  • AMAZING, AMAZING AMP SET UP.

  • im still looking for a steve clark sound

any idea how to get his sound?

  • so im trying to get a def leppard phil collen sound and i have a guitar with his pickup in it the super 3... and i wanna get his live sound... would a pod x3 pro work ? Im a poor guy so i have no oney for a jmp 1... anyone got any advise for me? thanks! and great Demo!

  • well I think used JMP on ebay is cheaper than a new X3 live.. I'd reccomend you the X3 though.. better flexibility and more better recording sound

  • Thanks. Im currently looking into getting an Axe-Fx.

  • hey man great tone!!!!

  • emm question ... to have that still of sound i just need a jmp-1 and a bbe maximizer ? and for what is the Marshall EL84 20/20 ?

  • the marshall EL84 20/20 is a poweramp. So the JMP-1 is the preamp, and 20/20 is a poweramp to run the JMP-1 with a cab.

  • I have a JVM and a PC1- Jackson. The sounds are seriously mind blowing, i dont need a JMP-1 as i have the JVM 410c, you have nice tone aswell, PC-1 guitar certainly helps in all regards, as you know this yourself, nothing like it. I use a Effectrode Tube Vibe Pedal and a Hartman Germanium Fuzz, a Cusack Screamer and a carbon copy plus a keeley compressor and hardwire lexicon Reverb. pretty sweet to have everything true bypass and analog, except reverb which you want stereo anyhow. Nice reveiw

  • hey man, im thinking about getting that marshall power amp.are they any good? im gonna use it with a line 6 pod x3 pro.

  • Yep, great! I would of probably gone for an EL34 based poweramp, but i really wanted to keep the weight of my rack down as low as possible so i went with this, and wasn't disappointed.

  • 'there's a kid sleeping next door so we have to be quiet'.....[plays a sick solo].....hahahah omg that was sooo funny

  • Is the jmp-1 easy to use?

  • 1:38 to 1:41 was awesome

  • Very nice man!!!

can you tell us what cables you used for rack connections?

also, how you connected the JFX-1 and the BBE in loop?

    they are in serial connected?

jmp-1 sends to jfx then bbe and return to jmp-1?

  • Thankyou. The cables are just normal patch cables. Both JFX and SM are in the effects loop of the JMP-1 so no, they're not in series.

  • maybe you didn't read well..

i know they are in the effects loop..

but jmp-1 has one efects loop..

so the jfx-1 and bbe are in series in the loop?

jmp-1 loop sends to jfx-1, jfx-1 sends to bbe, bbe sends back to jmp-1 return?

  • Just curious... How do you set the control of the effects loop mix? Is it on 100%?

  • On the JMP-1, its 1-12....1 being dryest...i normally have mine set on 8.

  • Still sounded pretty loud.

  • hey man! what preamp tubes do you have in the JMP1? mine sounds alot harsher than this...and whats in the fx loop?

  • Its got the stock tubes (ECC83's).

JFX-1 & BBE in the loop.

  • is it modded or something? or do you think that smooth sound comes from the poweramp and cab?

  • it's likely the effect of the sonic maximizer that you're hearing.

  • you guys should watch his tuner. intonation's gotta be killer cos it hardly moves off centre.

  • Finally someone with a decent mic. i hate when you lookin for a decent demo and everyone records with dodgy equipment. nice tone

  • sounds very very good

  • OMG I just got that guitar!!!!

  • Oh yeah, I just bought JMP-1 for like 3 weeks now

    Luv it a lot

  • You should do some lep covers

  • holy shit great JMP-1

  • Dude,

your like one of the best guitarist's i've ever heard!

I want the guitar sooooo bad! I love that sustainer.

    Awesome, awesome job!

  • Thanks, I really appreciate that! The guitar is simply stunning!

  • Your welcome, i bet that guitar is stunning! I want it soo bad!

  • hey great tone. what are the settings on the jmp -1 ?

  • OD2, Gain: 16 Bass: 3 Mid: 1 Treble: 2 Presence: 2 Effects Loop: 6

  • Very nice tone

  • Nice rack..

how much did all that cost.

i want to make one my self...

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks! It cost me around £1200 to build it. Thats including the case and all of the leads. Most of the units are new, but some i got from Ebay.

  • you can find a jmp-1 on ebay for a about 400$
