That would be Demon Mode. It's 66 souls on the PC, 33 on the XBox. There's also a Tarot Card that allows you to use it too.

Definitely a must without the Boltgun/Heater. Which is basically a much more powerful Stakegun/Grenade Launcher with a scope.

Some are German, and some are Russian. You can tell if you look hard enough, or listen to the voices.

The XBox version so too simple and primitive. The gameplay is too slowe, the enemy MI is too slowe and primitive, and what i see 3:29? An inventory? Inventory in Painkiller whilst the gameplay is paused? The PC version is more then better!

A sweet level but brutally tough, had so much trouble here. Those later sites with the German soldiers hiding behind the walls and sniping especially, I just could not get past them in a dozen tries. They do this blitz assault and it's just wicked tough.

This level is absolute torture on the PC. Unless you do the first room right, you die almost instantly because of all the snipers.

Thankfully, the difficulty is taken down for the XBox. They had to, or else the Tarot Card would've been impossible to get, since you can't go back to pick up either of the Super Healths like you can on the PC version.

There's something hauntingly unnerving to the Soviet Republic's anthem being used as the stage's theme. Can't put my finger on it why.

well since the level is leningrad and leningrad is in russia which evovled from the soviet republic and the siege of lenin grad happened in world war 2 and tha's wat the level is based off of and! the soviet republics anthem is the perfect match for the level so there is wat you couldn't put your finger on

The funny thing is, on the XBox (I don't think it's in the original PC version) the UFO at the end of Military Base plays the Soviet anthem as well. ;)

Before post 1.5 versions of PK: BooH, getting the requirement for this level was super easy with the Life Stealer Tarot card (about 5% health transferred to yours, and it went even beyond the maximum of 250 from the mega health pickups). However, later versions nerfed it to about 2.5% of all damage done gets transferred to you, and was only allowed to get it to the limit of 250.

Yeah, no Life Stealer card on the XBox, and no going back for the Super Health because it's back in the first part of the level. You just have to be really good. :P

Blasting through the last part with the Demon Morph card twice, as well as a normal demon morph really helped though. ;)

on the computer demo for painkiller heaven's got a hitman you can go over 250 on the oriental castle i got around 350 health
