  • It's magic!

  • Great solo from one of my favorite guitarist. From Deep Purple to Richie Blackmore's Rainbow, I have always loved your playing. I hear you play at Renaissance Fairs. I used to play the classical guitar and had this style in my repetoire.. May God bless you in all your endevavours You are truly one of the most original guitarists in Rock.i hope he never leaves his Utopia. --Buzz--

  • RB.Original.

  • 1A!!!

  • Sounds like Toni iommi, only Richies playing is cleaner here with this project not to mention his fingers aren't cut off like iommies..ha! Good playing tasteful, Still nothing compares to pure imagination of bucketheads simple 'Beyond the knowing' Homing beacon, anything from electric sea, electric tears to Colma' hills to eternity' formless presents, Star chasing is bad ass! Interworlds new age of innocents. He listened to Richie blackmore as influence.

  • @dannyhood66 +soothsayer :)

  • @EpictheEpicest Oh yeah! Good choice!

  • Such tasteful guitar playing...just brilliant...

  • 5*****

  • Honestly ? Surely impressive, but I’ve heard better… in my own humble opinion, I was more impressed by Ritchie Blackmore when he’d done Highway Star and the like, circa early 1970’s…

  • Not a very good guitar...but very good fingers playing it

  • Is this solo a part of a Rainbow song? Or a medley?

  • @ROONTANG Blackmore's Night - Shadow Of The Moon

  • Well I'm just going to burn my guitar now. I've heard all I need,

  • Super!!!

  • This is very good, but the first 4 seconds of the video will always be the ritchie blackmore i remember.

  • @adooradoor4you,

    I think so, too!!!

  • he's the God of guitar,that's amazing

  • My first time to see Ritchie playing a Telecaster though it's an acoustic version.

  • @6arcsn1sky its called the telecoustic they also make the stratocoustic

  • @MrLaserprint Yeah, I seen those in a Musician's Friend catalog years ago.

  • No words, only listen

  • Great player, really weird fella though lol.

  • fantastico

  • grande semplicemente grande

  • Great looking guitar? Does anyone know what guitar he uses now days?

  • That particular one seems to be a custom modification of Fender Telecaster Thinline (originals only got one F hole)

By this days Blackmore is playing with several guitars including the oldschool Stratocaster (not his legendary Olimpic Withe form Deep Purple and Rainbow, that one was ruined by a Luthier). With Blackmore´s Night he use some acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars by Filde, Lakewood and Yairi. For electric I saw hom using some Strats and Teles (traditional and thinline like this one)

  • @tormus thanks dude

  • Comment removed

  • wow.........ritchie blackmore got alot better.......

  • When one watches this solo, think about his peers from, oh, about 1965, and who is still a viable force in music - Page? Not quite. Clapton? Barely. Richards? Nope. Hendrix? Dead. Harrison? Dead. Jones? Dead. Townshend? Retired. Beck? Yeah. Only other one. So out of nearly every Brit Rock Guitarist from 45 years ago, who's still touring and playing to appreciative audiences all over the world? Give the man credit. He's still doing what he likes.

  • amazing phrasing!

  • @TheodoreKalantzakos Symfwnw Thodorh!

  • Great tone!!!

  • Awesome solo, but what kind of douche thinks that people can't have their own opinion?

  • It's a telecaster, and I think the cut aways are real, so it's semi-acoustic.. probably fender

  • @0oDaantje12o0 Acoustasonic I think pr Telecoustic

  • telecaster thinline

  • Fender stratocaster

  • @kandyaxlr no, don't think so-it's got the look of an old Tele caster but I don't think it's a Tele either.

  • what guitar is that?

  • mannn i just started listening to this guy! He's amazing I must say I never really paid attention to deep purple but I definitely will now! Anyone know what guitar he's using ? It's just so sweeeeet.

  • Do he plays it with a synth. or a Piezo ?

  • brill job can only dream of this

  • RITCHIE BLACKMOOOORE!!!

  • @watchpotch

  • @devilicious151

    25 now :(

  • Riitchie Blackmoooooooooore (0:03 and 1:44) Performing "Smoke on the STAGE" Oo KKKKKKKKKKK

  • Yeah, it was good, but it didn't go anywhere. Certainly not far enough. I was also surprised to see how much weight he had put on and that was way back in 1997.

  • @denizenboy Why Richie Blackmore break Rainbow if he create new band with hér wife?

  • kind of weird but still great

  • yapp

  • Un maestro de las seis cuerdas!!!!

  • I get such a kick from the dudes who criticize Blackmore regarding his artistic accomplishments. Why is it then, that we're not discussing the accomplishments of these so-callled music critics and/or musicians who deign to make such comments? I'd like to compare the playing of these folks with Blackmore's. Ha, ha. The bottom line is that many people are moved by Blackmore's artistry and musicianship, whether it's with Purple, Rainbow or Blackmore's Night.

  • does anybody know what guitar he is using here? any help would b appreciated

  • @flyingmachine1111 its some sort of a custom thinline telecaster

  • he's run out of ideas

i still prefer his old rock days

  • @aeki877 Ur kidding right???

  • this guy is the master..of rock guitar...!!!

  • One day I`ll play like Ritchie

  • Reminds me of Buck Dharma phrasing.

  • sounds like child in time -) only musician's will hear it ;-)

  • Richti der hexenmeister an der Strato....für immer

  • what guitar is that?

  • @kutupig

    That's Ritchie's guitar!

  • Best guitar player on the planet

  • Ever!!!

  • Ritchie is the best!!!

  • Two words: Where did you come up with this from??? Are you dumb, or what? Ah?

  • That is absoluly amazing with what he does on guitar he takes one simple scale ( a natural minor ) and makes the most amazing things with not much, can anyone recommend some blackmore pieces, beacause this is the first one ive heard. 10/10

  • @Ben123456789Clarke not just the natural minor dude. all the musical modes. and various arpeggios and there inversions he uses a lot too.

  • beautiful

  • sooooo good!!!!!!!!!!

  • @o56kid The thought that spawned beiber.

  • @Tyrfingr I agree w/ o56Kid and I was a deep purple fan from way back. If we look at Blackmore here, which is as artistic as his playing gets, we see his biggest accomplishment is playing lots of scales at moderate speed at a fairly even tempo. I would propose that the same is accomplished by any junior at Juliard. Where is the synchopation? The style? The tasty intangible melodic aspect that turns so-so guitarists into awesome, inspirational? Check out Tony Rice if you don't know what I mean.

  • i would say ritchie blackmore amazing hot wife :D

  • what guitar is that ?

  • @Gh3r4 It's a Billington Buzzworth.

  • @whitbyjet65 are u sure … tried searching for that guiar on the web … can't find anything. Joe

  • RITCHIE BLACKMORE

  • What is the name of this song

  • @mooocie15 Shadow of the Moon

  • @mooocie15 It's called "Don't Fear The Mustache". Why doesn't this wandering minstrel wander over to the Walgreen's and get a Schick Quattro?

  • Wow 100% improv, that is totally badass
