Download the installer, right click > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program in compatibility mode for: > Windows XP Service Pack 3 (or maybe even Vista). Then Install.

When installed do the same for the 'KO99' file then play.

I really must check this out because I thought the original games were 2 of the best on the Speccy. Particularly Back To Skool.

Just as enjoyable as the Skool Daze games and with all the familiar features. It's a great tribute to those classic games. It took me back to those years gone by.

their are at least 2 important elements missing in this game, not being able to change the teachers names, and not being able to knock other pupils off the chair, something that the original had which i feel were important, otherwise excellent

Yeah! Being able to put a teacher's name from your own school days was all part of the fun. Still a great game as you say!

uhm, you can do those things. The teachers names can be changed in the accompanying text file and you knock students off their chairs with the catapult.

not quite what i was saying, in the origonal when you went to the next lesson, if you noticed there was always a chair short so sombody would always be standing up, you could nudge them of their seat to take it and vice versa.

Skool Daze was out to get you in every way. You could be doing well and then you would get hit with lines from everywhere.

I've only played Klass of 99 once I think. I was referring to the original Skool Daze! Another game I had when I was a kid that was "ahem borrowed" without instructions. Still dodn't stop me from playing it for hours at a time trying to figure out what to do!

I remember all that nonsense with pirate tapes. No instructions and having to press every key to find out which ones worked. Soon sussed it out otherwise there would be nothing to play.

I loved the option "redfine keys", always used it and had my fave setup. QA for up and down, OP for left and right and M for fire. Still use it on PC games today!

Redefine option was great. I used h,b f,g and j because it was central on the keyboard and you can also use the spacebar for stuff if required.

But they never used to load. Always crashed near the end.

Sometimes you could sit for ages each time adjusting the volume and with a bit luck it would load.

This is a game which can be considered Skool Daze 2. It has a few variations in the game and is not strictly a copy of the original. Great game. Cheers mate!

Yeah, I know! But that game is different from Skool Daze. Will try and put Back to Skool up as long as its not too long. But it is a long game. Might need a bit of editing.
