  • wait wait. what made her go sarcastic? I heard something behind that seems attacking but I couldn't figure what the man was saying. Someone help please.

  • thatcher is proof of the need to have 8 hours sleep per night

less than that and you turn into a raving maniac

  • Denis Healy was a dimwit.

  • BOBBY SANDS-MP

  • Aaah! Yes! Thirty years of free market encomics and a deregulated finance industry, first with Thatcher and continued by Blair and Brown. And the result is.........?

  • @MrLion1885 "Deregulated"? Another left-wing meme based in very little truth. The finance industry is matched only by the healthcare industry for the sheer volume of regulation. It is not the lack of regulation that caused the housing bubble and subsequent collapse, but government intervention, specifically, the subsidizing of home ownership through MIRAS, interest rate policy, council house sell-offs, etc.Policies started by the right and reinforced by the left.

  • @avickers1 Oh! Right. Could you get a 125% self cert. mortgage back in the the 70's? Or were there certain criteria to be met before a bank would lend you money? And of course, if you think there is such a"sheer volume of regulation" ask Nick Leeson and Kweku Adeboli how they managed to so easily bypass it?

  • @avickers1 You're absolutly right. Our problem here in the states was also caused by government intervention through Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, and yet the leftist morons over here say that the free market caused it. If the free market were left alone, this situation would have been already corrected, but instead we have more regulations than we have in decades and it has indefinitly prolonged our crisis.

  • I love how her voice cuts across all of the heckling and barracking - no other PM has ever, nor indeed will ever, command such a presence.

  • She had more balls than Cameron, Millbabble and Cleggover put together! Which of today's spineless cowardly party leaders could kick the asses of the unions and argies?

  • nasty old bitch

  • @ursie1986 exactly! thank you very much!

  • @ursie1986 If I was ever unfortunate enough to be in her presence I'd say to her...Hurry up and die you nasty bitch.

  • @CuntCameron And its such a mystery why Labour lost the last election...

  • @getmadgetmad1 Well said!!

  • "Afraid, frightened, frit". She shows her East Midland roots here.

It's almost as though she goes on a linguistic journey backwards through her life from learned elocuted received pronunciation back to middle class and then down to the depths of working class dialect.

  • @capriciou71. . . easy to blame Brown of course, it was Blair and the greedy bankers who fucked everything up. Blair was so in love with Bush he forgot completely everything about GB he was supposed to be looking after. The rescue packages for the Banks instigated by Brown steadied the ship during the Credit Crunch, but the change of government and policies jeopardised everything, unfortunately.

  • @SuperFifthwheel. . . if Socialism doesn't mean Society, then Maggie herself was wrong in attaching "only family and individuals" to her claim that "there is no such thing as Society". GB is a society, Tory Party is a society, and so is a sports club and so on and so forth. Individuals and families lived in caves before getting together for protection and safety and forming a tribe, a village, town, city etc etc. Mrs T was waffling !!

  • hope this bitch burns in hell, fucked up my country!

  • @ajisthebest95 Because Gordon Brown hasn't fucked it up at all... Margaret Thatcher didn't take crap from anyone. She may have slipped up at points but shes done more good than any recent prime ministers have.

  • @rustylad100...' Thatcher defeated Socialism??...'...you don't know the meaning of the word. Socialism is why we exist as people, country, nation..Maggie came out saying:..." there's no such thing as Socialism, only individual and family "...total bungkum ! Before socialism people lived in caves as individuals or family, only after socialising with their neighbours did civilisations began. The silly moo obviously wanted us to go back the cave and stone age !!

  • @macvatu No, socialism is a form of government thought up by a "tested and failed" theorist. It doesnt mean "society", it means that the government owns all business and means of production. It means that instead of YOU being able to own your own business, that YOU will be compelled to work for the government. That means that the curret form of fiat money and keynesian economics your government uses for central banking will collapse and EVERYONE will be impoverished.

  • @rustylad100....Gordon was million times better than all Tory Chancellors since Maggie. The economy was booming under him. Major, Lamont etc as Chancellors were a joke, a bunch of clueless dic' 'eds. Heseltine would have made a better PM than Major, but right-wingTory hierarchy didn't like him neither did Maggie. So, we were stuck with a half-wit in Major-Ball-Oxe

  • @macvatu Lol the economy was booming under Gordon brown thanks to the money CONSERVED by the conservatives. Where's the money gone now? Labour bought there elections with it that's where and now we've run out the cycle starts again, in come tories fix economy labour come in give out money for votes and again and again.

  • @macvatu The same Brown that sold off the nation's gold for a song?

    Are you having a laugh?

  • @403766. . taken you a long time to respond, hasn't it??. When Blair took over from Major, the official unemployment figure was around 3m, the unofficial figure exceeded 5m but by introducing 21 different ways of counting, 2m were wiped out. Gordon Brown, the best Chancellor we ever had, got to work and reduced the figure to under 1m. Major was waste of time and space, and so were Duncan-Smith, Howard, Hague. Cameron didn't win anything but here he is just showing off with his muppet, Clegg.

  • @macvatu "Gordon Brown, the best Chancellor we ever had". Totally deluded. This country has never been in a worse financial condition (although maybe back in 1979 when Labour left behind a once again crippled economy). Thatcher to defeat socialism.

  • @TheSatiringSocialist

... yes, Mulroney just lined his pockets. I can't even say his name without filling up with spite, even after all these years.

  • Septic old cunt , hurry up and die ,she wrecked British industry ,tried to cause world war 3 and took milk away from children , a cunt on every possible level.

  • evil bitch

  • Inflation? Trade Deficit? Unemployment? They all soared under Maggie T and John M and their clueless Tories, yes, 18 years of it !! Luckily we had North Sea Oil revenue to pay for all those jobless people 5millions of them. But then they introduced 21 different ways of counting the jobless to massage the figures, what an absolute disgrace. Intrigueing though was how ol' dic' 'ed himself, John M, got to be our PM.

  • @macvatu

1)Inflation was 26.3% under labour before thatcher took over, the highest its been since WW1...

    2) No there wasn't

3)There was 2 million more jobs available, alot of people didlt want them afte reuxiries of workin in a governemtn industry( people literally jus slept at night in the mines- and this is according to a miner)

4)John Major had unemplyment reduced to 1 million, and btw LABOUR STUCK TO TORIES SPENDING PLANS, to getu out of one recession but just lead us intoanothe

  • She should be on Black Adder

  • Any of you go to school, and get an "A" in economics? It's laughable that Tory's and Conservatives around the world have NO sense of what inflation means in a financial (unproductive) economy. And will never understand till the United Kingdom and U.S. bubbles burst. These economies on their own face are bubbles waiting to explode - the question is, 'when?' You either support the bubble, or strive to change it. Either way, it's going to burst...and then what, smart folk?

  • @milackk7

What, are you sure your jus not some random moron? Are sayng that tories have ever caused more inflation than labour, because I prove thats not true, btw any economist would vote conservative.

  • PLEASE DIE

  • she will always be the first woman to be prime minister and she had no respect on Scotland and i guess Scotland had no respect for her she went to war on Falklands witch was stupid because Falklands did not attack Britain

  • @The87Ninja

you thick minge. falklands belonged to britain and the fuckinhg argetinians invaded it when it was 'british' territory. i hate war but at least it was a gain for britain. the iuraq war has no british interest.

  • Margaret Thatcher was ALWAYS on the money!

  • @MrToadful

best what the UK could happened too

  • I hope this whore dies soon!.

  • this woman destroyed uk she put all our resources i emphasise our resources us the people in the hands of tyrants electricity ,gas ,water, social housing and so on these were all non profit making organisations the original idea was to give people a better quality of life by supplying these resources not for a handfull of tyrants to get very rich and control people.most of the people in the uk cant see the wood for the trees and take in all the bullshit that politicians have to offer

  • @oppressednation So I take it you don't like Share holders then? JUst normal people wanting to put their money somewhere where it will get a better return than a savings account! Well thats pretty much every retail chain fucked then. The people that got a better quality were those with the brain cells to, its natural selection.

  • @pimpUK1 ye mate you got it no need for shareholders or any of that bollox

  • @oppressednation yes there is, without shareholders a company would just be owned by an elite few and would be restricted in growth. Shares give investment into a company helping it expand and the riskier the investment the higher the return tends to be.

  • @pimpUK1 ye but whos making the real money not somebody whos got a couple of grands worth of shares or have the majority of the population got hundreds of thousands to plough into shares i dont think they have.have you? most people are more worried at the moment trying to keep a roof over their heads buying shares is another world so your speaking about the system favouring the minority again.our system is owned by bankers.elite and big business and thats that so if like u being owned carry on

  • @oppressednation you don't need hundreds and thousands, just a grand or two but have to be prepared to lose it all. I don't at the moment, I invested in my first house purchase when prices dropped last year and if I sold today would make 30k. Bankers don't own anything, they provide a service, you can even get their fund managers to manage shares for you. Life is what you make it, if you lack the drive to be successful then don't bitch about the next man that wants to be rich.

  • @pimpUK1"give me the right to issue and control a nations money and i care not who governs the country"meyer amschal rothschild."those that create and issue the money and credit, direct the policies of the goverment and hold in thier hands the destiny of the people"richard mckenna former president of midland bank..the governor of the bank of england dictates the terms upon which alone the goverment can obtain borrowed money"sir drummond fraser vice president of the institute of bankers.wake up

  • @pimpUK1 i dont care about anybody being rich what i do care about is a system that is so corrupt when it neednt be proffit should never come before people but it does believe me more and more are waking up to it.its all going to fall a crumble it will take a long while but it will happen all empires in history have fallen when corruption gets to these levels

  • @oppressednation please explain how is it a corrupt system? Buying something when the price is low and re selling when it gets higher has always happened since humans started using money and everyone does it. Never bought fags or drink duty free with the intention of selling them at a higher price?

  • @pimpUK1 hypocrisy thats how.one of my brothers was recently convicted of assault for defending himself the guy who decided to pick the fight picked on the wrong one.its okay for the puppet goverments to go and invade other countrys and actually kill people.our goverment grows cannabis in so called research programmes.but they dont like it when individuals do it i could go on all day but i got things to do whole system is corrupt top to bottom jobs kept purposely scarce, recessions caused .so on

  • @oppressednation People not being able to defend themselves is thanks to a legal system that has evolved to such a extent that it no longer can see the difference between good and bad, nothing to do with Capitalism as the US is capitalist and you can kill people trespassing. The EU has done some damage to our legal system by introducing the human right act which in theory was good has allowed the scum to literally get away with murder rape and theft. As for cannabis,

  • @pimpUK1 As a law student you are perfectly allowed to defend yourself. Check out s.76 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008. You can't kill people for trespassing in the US, you could if you felt threatened, and could prove that to a jury. The court system can see the difference between good and bad and the human rights act 1998 has not allowed anyone to get away with murder rape and theft. Stronger enforcement of cannabis puts more money into the hands of the drug dealers!

  • @supermanFX70 With minimal force required so if you came home to 2 men nicking all your possessions and you stabbed them in fear of what they could do to you, you would get a arrested and it would go to court and it’s at the hands of the Looney judge on what happens next! Chances are there will a sob storey about little Jonny and Timmy were reformed drug addicts stealing xmas presents for their kids who no longer have fathers.

  • @supermanFX70 As for the Human Rights Act, that great piece of law that is keeping a failed asylum seeker here. He was banned from driving and killed a girl but because he’s Iraqi and had 2 kids here he doesn’t get deported even though he came here illegally. What happened to the rights of the British people that don’t want scum like that here? The best thing to combat drugs is to make them socially unacceptable like smoking has become.

  • @pimpUK1 No you obviously don't understand, it is fine as long as you can justify yourself, not to a 'looney' judge but a jury of your peers! If the two were approaching you in a threatening manner, no jury would uphold a constructive manslaughter conviction against them! His two kids are English, would you want to be the judge that said you will never see your dad again, he did his sentence (not that I agree with his sentence). Yeah your right nobody smokes anymore.

  • @supermanFX70 Since when have fathers had any rights to see their children? If the mother doesn't allow contact, the father won't see them anyway. Besides you can't give someone that came here illegally any rights, its madness and god help us if he is involved in bringing these unfortunate kids up!" What shall we do this weekend dad? murder? Rape? Theft?". I used to smoke but gave up partly because of cost and partly because I became uncomfortable admitting I smoked, like its dirty.

  • @pimpUK1 Fathers have rights to see their kids, there less likely to get as much custody as their mother but he has rights. No judge will take the childern away from a 'good' father. There is a big difference between a murderer who hits someone accidentally in a car and say the crossbow cannibal, he's not intrinsically evil, dangerously stupid maybe but not evil. If you make drugs legal, give safe needles, have control of the supply and most important take the money away from the drug dealers

  • @supermanFX70 The chances are they wont get custody unless the mother is a drug addicted prostitute living with a peadophile that abuses the child! As for access if the mother doesn't allow access nothing gets done about itand for a working man its just too expensive to keep going to court, my dad went bust trying to get to see me once a month! My son lives with a peadophile and is at risk on social serivces system yet I can't get custody or even access and have never seen him (7 years old)

  • You can treat your addicts, you can protect them from prostitution and further crime, you can get them on treatment programmes and get their lifes back on track. Not only that, with a lot of the worlds opium comming from Afganistan; money is just going straight into the hands of the terrorists. If you make drugs legal, not over the counter at the off licence, but at the hospital, you can do all this and control it. Many doctors will tell you Cannabis is less dangerous than alcohol.

  • @supermanFX70 Why protect them? Everyone knows the dangers of everything bad, we all are educated from a young age that too much drink, smoking and illegal drugs are bad for our health! If someone is stupid enough to use them especially things like heroin and meth that are evil then tough! Cannabis really isn't less dangerous than alcohol, all the heavy users, including my ex girlfirend have mental problems, especially paranioa! Its illegal to take these drugs so why should people get help!

  • @oppressednation if anything a clamp down is needed with harsher punishment for supplying.Jobs are there and with good money too, you just need to keep making contacts. I got made redundant Dec 09 from a good job £500 take home a week as a driver. Ever since I’ve been getting into more debt working for several agencies barely making £300 yet yesterday got offered a job at £15 a hour basic carrying dangerous goods so my redundancy did me a favour eventually.

  • @pimpUK1 why do you presume i dont work im also a driver our earnings are pretty similar .you really dont get it dude go to google and watch zietgiest addendum then wake up for your own good

  • @pimpUK1 you can sum a capitalist society up with a few words its where the less fortunate have to face the tyranny of the more fortunate

  • What a vile, stuck up bitch....hurry up and die! Rotten to the core.

  • you put a women in power and she makes a mess

  • Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, politically responsible for neoliberalist policies of the International Monetary Fund. Responsible for suffering and death of up to 100 000 000 people, primarily in Africa because of „structural adjustment“ (privatization etc.).

  • @romeas100 How to you come to that conclusion?

  • @WiseMonkey888 Quiet Riot?

  • I don't kown! Because USA(Bush) and British goverment always lie! BP LIED BEFORE. A lier always lie

Obama is a good president!BUT there are too much money in the middle

  • fuck you

  • LIIEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • @romeas100 You mean liar.

  • Old bicht lier! BP LIER. They are destroying the world. BIG LIERS THE GOVERMENT OF England is a big LIER.

BP TOOK USA AS STUPIDS!! NOW USA KNOW WHO THEY ARE. They are a big liers

  • @romeas100 its was US workers that messed up on the rig so you are right, USA is stupid as you and those workers prove.

  • @pimpUK1 The workers got order from BP. BP DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY. ENGLAND ARE HUNGRY FOR MONEY! THEY ARE BROKE....IDIOT

    BP IS DESTROYING OUR WORLD!

  • @romeas100 It was Transocean with US workers doing the drilling not BP. Maybe if it was British guys on the rig they wouldn't have blown the thing up in the first place. BP didn't need to make a detailed disaster plan as the US Government Department of the Interior said a oil spill would be "unlikely". Seems to me it’s you people that fucked up? Which country is the largest consumer of oil in the world and is the most polluting out of developed nations?

  • Export or die were dieing plus the fact everyone is welcome and to claim benefits with a country of warehouses rather than factories unions killing companies as they are doing to british airways britian is in the sewers action is needed not byu the chuckle brothers in power today but the BNP seem to have there finger on the pulse of what the people want hence why they were on everyone lips as were there policies.

  • We Japanese also envy the British for their education system and class structure. They continue to produce leaders and great intellectuals. Japan lost her good old British-replica in their education system and class structure. Look at Japan today. A real naive idiot as the Prime Minister with many MPs who know nothing about the world order. Japan has the system of producing good workers but no good leaders. Britain is really Japan's opposite.

  • @Kenta19191919 Sorry but I find Japanese far better educated that me or any other Brit that has gone through state schooling. Sure private schooling is great here. I feel Thatcher will be the last great leader of Britain, no Prime Minister would be allowed to say or do what she did for the benefit of the nation. Today’s politics is all about saying the right thing to please everybody but without any action or substance. They wouldn't even be ableto answer what the last thing they had eaten.

  • @pimpUK1

David Starkey was saying something along that line. He said that the MPs are a joke and Parliament is a joke. Whilst I think he was overstating them to please the audience but he had a point. He thinks that a Cabinet should have no MP and a directly elected PM. Whilst the latter is hard to imagine for Britain, the former may come into existence. By separating legislative and administrative bodies, the Cab can focus on running the country and the Par can focus on scrutinizing laws.

  • What exactly does Denis Healy shout out?? Also Margaret was the best.

  • Silly bitch! How did anyone ever vote for the hectoring mean-spirited old cow?

When's she going to do the first decent thing in her life and die?

  • she sounds like a little baby

  • God bless Margaret Thatcher.

  • When will she die?

  • Frankly this is what the UK needs now. A PM who took crap from no one and didn't change her mind every five minutes because the opinion polls were against her. (She was behind in the oppinion polls for the majority of the time she was PM)

  • @themothmanreturns hmmm Brown the 'your a middle income earner so we're going to take more from you in tax and national insurance and give it to those who can't be bothered to get a job and don't want to work' PM. Give me Maggie any day

  • Spot on!

  • Dude looks like a lady!!parap parap dude looks like a lady!

  • God bless you transexual!

  • God Bless Margaret Thatcher. The right honourable gentleman is still frightened of a woman.

  • @daviddoyle1978 yes, but does she 'give head?'

  • Maggie come back!

  • The US needs a Maggie...DESPERATELY.

  • Fantastic Lady.

  • trip3newton. The Labour Government of 1974- 1979 inherited a dire economy from Ted Heath's conservative government in 1974. The economy was in better shape in 1979 than in 1974 inflation was lower as was government borrowing. Government borrowing was higher in 1983 than in 1979 or any other year of the Labour Government. During 1979 - 1997 unemployment remained higher than when the tories came in 1979. That's what I call failing the unemployed.

  • Well, at least I can spell.

  • Great the way how people who loose the argument (socialists) resort ot pathetic statements like that. Grow up.

  • Fantastic point of view.

  • shut up you socialist arse hole. Look forward to use soring the mess out like we always do, just like we did in 1979-1997.

  • @trip3newton Our entire democracy was born out of socialism and people like you just want to cripple it and send us back into the dark ages.

  • @sens19861 FAIL

  • @sens19861 Wasn't British democracy the result of a more affluent (and hence more powerful) middle and working class. What created this wealth? It wasn't a government. No proletariat created this change. It was the advent of capitalism, the liberalisation of the economy so that anyone could set up shop and sell something, own land and hire people that created this wealth. If anything, the kind of neo-feudalist socialism that you advocate could "bring us back to the dark ages"

    My 2p...

  • @sens19861 What on earth are you talking about? How was our entire democracy 'born out of socialism'?

  • @sens19861

Your entire democracy was what ? lol, typical lefty argument, empty and baseless.

  • @sens19861 Sorry my friend, but *progressive politics* gave birth to democracy. If you take one look at the EU or the USSR and you'll see that socialism isn't progressive or democratic...

  • @trip3newton Maggie yes, not so sure about Major thought...

  • @trip3newton It took you 18 years to get the country to how it was in 1997. So dont make out the Tories are somehow clearing up the mess. Especially since Callaghan was a very highly regarded leader.

  • @trip3newton but...you can't spell.

  • @trip3newton they are all full of shit, they create the problem's in the first place to put in more thing's to favour the rich, you create the problem and solution, that is how rich people remain rich and great power stay's i the hand's of a few.

  • @trip3newton You call more than doubling VAT, deregulating school meals, encouraging overspending (and thereby leading to mass personal debts/poverty/homelessness and the current economic instability) and having an avoidable war (I could go on) "sorting the mess out"?! Anybody who supports Tory policy supports class war and is the greatest terrorist of them all.

  • @1ruairidh1

That was a joke right? If not go back to shool...

Tory suporters must be the only ones who understand economics...

  • This is what British politics is missing, someone who can just take an 'insult' and return it with interest then go back to what they was saying before hand

  • That was a great arguement against the "malicious egoism" of the right, albeit a strawman arguement. One of the fundamental tennets of conservatism is that the individual knows better than the Government how to run his/her own life. I think the question should be put to you lefties why do you trust the Government so much to do good with your money? You only have to look at Parliament now to see that they feel very free to spend OUR money. You're throwing "pearls before swine" as the Lord said.

  • sssh

  • We should overcome our innate greed.

    Why?

    MAGIC MAN SAID SO!!!!!!

  • As I see it, there are good ways for spending money and bad ways:

the first way is, spend your own money on yourselve, this is the most frugal way as one will never squander his own money unnessecary, and if he does, he has to face his own consequences, then, there is spending someone else's money on yourself, now, you will buy now still useful things as you're still accountable, spend your own money on someone else, and you'll spend to little as it is not for you anyway, and you can also pt.1

  • pt.2 spend someone elses money on someone else, now this is the situation where politicians find themselves in. This is the worst way of spending money as you will no longer be very frugal and you won't buy useful thing as you don't know entirely what the people want!

  • Owls generally have flat faces. Their diet consists of mice, rats, voles, shrews, worms & other tasty treats.

  • According to a recent article in the Telegraph (Torygraph) this is the 8th recession since WW2. The previous 7:

    1956, 1957, 1961, 1973/4, 1975, 1980/81, 1990/91.

Only one of the above started during a Labour term in office.

  • God bless Msr T :-)

  • I think you mean effectively run this country into the ground, hence why so many people hated her.

  • Her freemarket ideology is mainly to blame for the current dire economic situation. She should be spit roasted, the old slut would love it.

  • No, people abusing her freemarket caused it.

I blame greedy bankers, not her.

  • No the whole freemarket system is corrupt to the core, it encourages greed with its 'self regulation' bullshit. Even Greenspan has admitted he's got it all wrong, Friedman was a cocksucker to be sure.

  • Well it isn't as corrupt as Socialism which encourages a monolith nanny state which oppresses us with political correctness and regulation.

I suppose you could try anarchism but that usually ends in tears as well. To be fair, greed is a natural human instinct, the desire for more whether it be food, land, power or money. The freemarket is arguably the closest to what we really are as animals.

  • I think you'll find that killing is a natural human instinct also, in Caveman days you had to kill your own antelope, rather than buy one from Tescos. Should that go unregulated too?

  • Greed may be a natural human instinct, but not more than cooperation. Cooperation is and will always be fundamental to our survival, from sex to language, humanity is designed to be a social species. 'Greed is good' and other free market beliefs throw the core part of humanity out of the window, we need competition AND cooperation to progress as a race, greed is not good if it takes precedent over the fundamentals of humanity.

  • "Greed is good" is not a free market belief.... There are no beliefs in the free market, it is the atheism of economics, a lack of regulation and the freedom for people to choose what to do with there body (in the providing services including labour) and with there possesions (in the exchange of goods). Without free market economics, people would not be free and greedy governments would have a monopoly over areas they have no right to infringe upon in the first place. Freedom is the fundamental

  • I see from your profile that you're 23. If you were old enough in the 80s you would have heard the mantra 'greed is good'.

    Today's bankers are Thatcher's children

  • Greed is good.

That's why you'd nick a load of money if you could. Don't deny that you wouldn't.

  • And don't think I really need to add much more to that one.

  • We're all the children of Thatcher..i shudder when i think where we would have been without her..still the sick man of Europe? countless winter of discontents? paralysed by the Unions? having the possibility that our dead wouldn't be buried but thrown out to the sea? she dragged that pathetic excuse for a country that we were then and made us great again..she goes down as the greatest PM we've had along with Churchill and her haters can carp on all they like but they'll still sip the champagne

  • I think you'll find that in a former mining towns like Worksop they dabble with something stronger than champagne. It's called heroin. Such is the glory of post-Thatcherite existence there.

  • Funny. The economic policy we followed in the 70s hasn't done scandanavian countries like Sweden much harm. They still regularly top most tables for living standards.

  • So this is old Lancastershire dialect?

  • INFLATION WENT DOWN. PERIOD.

  • Unemployment went up continually between 1979-1986, period.

By 1989 inflation went up again, period.

  • greatest prime minister ever

  • she fuked the countrys gas up by privatising it. she wanted to abolish the NHS , and she set the record for unemployment. NOT TO MENTION POLL TAX ! she also made britain extremley class divided, which in effect only causes problems.

  • so when did maggie say she wanted to abolish the nhs?

  • in her original maifesto. her own conservitave cabinet stoped her from doing it, if she had her way completely there wud be no NHS. Fuk maggie fuk wat she stands for, she was born a northener , converted to a southerner

  • that is wrong...... please tell me where i can read this manifesto....... bearing in mind i have read it before

  • the fact is that since the nhs came into being not a single political party has ever even uttered the words privatisation when it comes to the nhs....... so if u can prove to me with facts that thatcher did want to then i will publicly admit i am wrong on here

  • im still not hearing your evidence on maggie wanting to scrap the nhs?????? iv given u a week?

  • She never had the guts, but if she were there in 1945, it would never have got invented.

  • Margaret Thatcher on the Money

GIVE TO ME HA HA HA HA HA!!!

  • We need another P.M like thatcher in my opinion. Shes not afraid to challange 'the right honourable gentleman' if i could i would brng her back into power.

  • Yeah right now!

    Absolutely agree!

  • Another one like her? What like a PM with 3 million unemployed and rising, hold on son, it won't be long.

  • Actually she only 1.5 million out of work. The other half were put out of work by Labour in the 70's.

Least she paid our debt to the IMF off.

  • Umemployment in 1979 - 1.4 million

    Unemployment in 1981 - 2.5 million

    Unemployment in 1982 - 3 million

    Unemployment in 1983 - 4 million

Peak of Maggie's boom, 1989 - 1.6 million, still high than Labour in 1979. Unsustainably built on credit led to deep recession with unemployment back to 3 million.

  • FACT: since the 1930s unemployment is always higher when Labour departs office than when it came in..and (here's hoping that this horror show of a government led by a farce of a PM is out asap) it looks that that awful statistic is to continue..any idea why that would be? Labour's loony policies of the 70s almost led us to oblivion..Healey had to go cap in hand to the IMF begging for a loan..we were the sick man of europe

  • The Labour government of the 70s followed free market economics under duress, the current one does so under choice. Neither of them are socialist, there hasn't been a socialist government since 1970. Under Atlee unemployment rarely rose above 0.5 million, if unemployment was lower when he came than when he left that was because there was a war on. Unemployment was under 1 million when Wilson left and he inherited an unusually large balance of trade deficit

  • lol u must b pretty annoyed at her legacy.

  • And you also seeing that she almost terminally divided the Tories for over a decade and a half.

  • no actually..... i think it did the torys good..... and they still are thatcherites..... the left wing of the tory party did not win that war
