  • Sorry. I've been a life-long Kiss fan but, out of the 4 recording artists that recorded and released this song, the Molly Hatchet version is by far the best. Killer guitars and really ballsy!!!

  • KISS ! !!!! !!!! ! !! !! ! !

  • @Sixshotreviews2 Ace Frehley version is even better.

  • Paul Stanley sings the background vocals here. I've got it on a tape somewhere.

  • de las mejores voces del mundo,,, wwwooww, exelente....

  • "Hide your heart" ("Esconde tu corazón") is a great piece of rock music.

  • @Sixshotreviews2 pointless discussion

  • @daymbekderil you sucks... KISS have huge influent on every next hard rock bands... they was first band with their own new image... it was huge thing...

    PS. sorry for my english...

    PS 2. again you sucks

  • @daymbekderil if you must know Paul Stanley of KISS actuly written this song!

  • @mlakerman Technically Paul Stanley, Desmond Child and Holly Knight wrote the song.

  • If only we could all get along and like the Kiss AND Bonnie Tyler version... I personally love both.

  • I love every second of this vid!! prefer Bonnie Tyler's version! :)

  • I like this ladies raspy voice. But I love the KISS version. That being said though this version is pretty kick ass

  • 80's had great songs but clothes suck man!!!!!

  • i have to lmao when i see rockers make comments being polite on here and saying this is interesting or not bad - hey she had a hand in the writing of the song - good for her, but KISS MADE THIS SONG what it is

    FOR REAL

    lol, no apologies

  • Never heard this version, interesting.

  • Bonnies version is far superior to any other version.

  • @Sixshotreviews2 .NOOOO!!, la versión de Bonnie Tyler es superior en fuerza y voz ,sin dudas, además es la original!""

  • nunca vi una pinta mejor

  • aces version is stronger than all of these

  • its great that kiss wrote this with her hahahaha but i have to say kiss version is way better!!! but its not that bad

  • great voice !! kill song

  • @littlesusie...Bonnie does NOT know how to DANCE,

She said so her self....GREAT VOICE!

  • If paul stanley was one of the original writers of this song, then would you consider Kiss's version of it to be a cover song? because she recorded this song first. I still love KISS's version more than this though. KISS is my favorite band ever, and the best live band in my opinion.

  • @TomandaustinRV A cover song no but a Re ~ recording of a great song.

The one thing I found by listening to all the versions of the song is it is still a great song.

Is there any other song out there with this many recordings of it?

  • Only heard this song with kiss before. This version was awesome. Nice band too. The guitar sound = Me like!

  • Listen Radio Música para Mimos. The best songs of love (search in Google)

  • The chorus to this version is WAY better than the Kiss version.

  • It's funny when a cover is better than the original, example - Metallica's cover of Turn the Page,

  • @JujitsuJon Turn the page by Bob Segar is a classic

  • @Sixshotreviews2 fuck me she needs to be shot gezz she kills this song

  • good version, bad video quality.

personally, my favorite version is ace's.

  • she needs to jump more, its kind of impossible to sing song like this and not dance !

  • @Sixshotreviews2 ace frehley version is so more better

  • paul stanley and desmond child write it in 1988 desmond gave it to bonnie in 1988 and then KISS allso recorded it in 1988 but relised it the next year

does that makes sence to anyone?

and within two years it was coverd 3 or 4 times

  • listening to bonnie sing it...it wouldve made sense for kiss to re record it later..using ace's version and peter sing it

  • Is this the original version?

I ve never listened this song. I listened kiss version.

  • @plasma3456 yes original version. On her "Hide Your Heart" album in 88.

  • gatta love 80's hard rock.

  • lol

  • for those who say that this is Bonnie Tyler's song and KISS shouldnt do it,

Paul Stanley helped to write this song, so it is as much his as it is hers....not to mention, the KISS version is better, and the Ace version is better than all of them

  • @uncledaddy54 Originaly from Bonnie Tyler on her "Hide Your Heart" album in 1988 and covered by Kiss...

  • @timzerty

Paul Stanley helped in the writing of the song.the song was originally written by Stanley and Holly Knight called "Bite Down Hard," Desmond Child who worked with Kiss in the past helped rework the song into "Hide Your Heart." Producer, Ron Nevison of the Kiss album Crazy Nights turned the song down for that album, Child produced Tyler's album Hide Your Heart and gave her the song to use, Kiss then used the song on their next album...it is Paul's song with help from Child and Knight

  • @uncledaddy54

so yes, Bonnie Tyler performed the song first on her album Hide Your Heart which was released in '88. It was meant for the Kiss album Crazy Nights in '87 but wasn't released by Kiss until Hot in the Shade in '89 (in fact Ace Frehley released the song right before Kiss did on his album Trouble Walkin')...so back to my original point, the song itself is Paul's/Knights with help from Child....they all have part of the song so to say that Kiss shouldn't have covered it is wrong

  • Paul should have done a duet with Bonnie their voices would've sounced good together.

  • better than paul better than ACE!!!

  • talented musicians but they look like a lounge act compared to KISS

  • why is she doing this song she does it no justice

  • Sieht so scheiße aus!

Die gute Bonnie als richtige Rockgöre und dann dieser Schlagzeuger mit Hemd und

    Hose:D

  • This is THE song of Bonnie Tyler, the original. Not the fuckin Kiss or others sorry ! This song is a ROCK song and not a variety song ! Only Bonnie Tyler can do it ! Sorry

  • @timzerty go and fin who have done this song and then come back and say that again

  • @makkevideos this song is write FOR BONNIE TYLER ! This is the title of her album in 1988. The song was covered by Kiss in 1989.........................

  • @timzerty but you don't deny that paul stanley, desmond child and holly knight wrote it?

  • @makkevideos of course they wrote it ! But for Bonnie ;)

  • @timzerty

I AGREE!! BONNIE IS WONDERFUL ROCK SINGER :) ONLY DEAF PEOPLE CAN'T NOTICE :)

  • He's the hottest transvestite Ive ever seen

  • yes thats really the truth !! bonnie tyler sang it before paul stanley!! i remember when the single was out!!! and bonnie was the 1rst!!! sory babe

  • No. This is bad. Only Ace and KISS could do this. This is stupid.

  • non avrei mai pensato di trovare un video così raro complimenti.

  • Now who wrote this song? KISS did it to the H.I.T.S album and Ace Frehley (ex-KISS) did it for the Trouble Walkin' album. And now I can see Bonne do it. As I've understand it Kiss and Desmond Child did this song.

  • cool, ich kannte bislang nur den orginal track von Paul Stanley (KISS)

  • has she got big dark nipples or small pink ones.

  • this one is the one of botox?

  • the drummer is a moron.

  • I like Ace's version the best!

  • Live 88??? this song was launched in 1989 by kiss hot in the shade......... oO

  • When did KISS write this song?

  • @Kodos1Paul Stanley around 88 with Desmond Child and Holly Knight

  • @X5h0t3r Bonnie recorded it og releast it in 87. It was written for her by Desmond Child Paul Stanley And Holly Knight. Desmond produced the album Notes from America ( retitled Hide your heart in Europe.

  • Very good song =)

  • i love kiss but i like this version bettr

  • Is it just me, or does this bas splayer look and move a LOT like John Regan?? I seem to recall John Regan playing bass on Bonnie's recording. He was also in Frehley's Comet and in the Ace Frehley Band when Ace recorded this song for Trouble Walking. Can't really get a great shot of his face, but he's a ringer for John Regan, for sure....

  • How many people recorded this song?

  • I've only heard the KISS version before! But this one rocks too, it's a great song!

  • WOW - never heard this before! I like it! Paul Stanley, and Bonnie Tyler ROCK!

  • Not horrible tho considerin'

  • yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah I love her voice !

  • She was and is forever a lovely Rock´n Roll Lady-Bonnie I love you!

  • Kiss's verion is better

  • ACE FREHLEY version is better

  • it looks like the drummer was told to play the drums like this and he tried his best to do so.

the director wanted to make him looked like Tommy Lee or somebody ?

  • this deserved to much better in the charts than it did. she looks so pretty on the 12" single of it.

  • This is a mimed performance, look at o:15, no lead coming from the guitar, no backline, no amps, no drum mikes. This is NOT a live version.

  • Good version!!! though ace frehley kiss and have taken his version

  • theres something about this that i prefer over kiss version.. i think cause Its a bit slower and her husky voice suits it

  • hey this is a realy good version but i like the kiss version more, but this is great

  • That drummer is having a blast.

  • @steggieone I would too having a close seat looking at her ass!

  • @manzi71 Hey, I was going to make that joke. :)

  • Whaaat? Forget about that, i thought that KISS recorded this first

  • But they started recording in early 1988 so she did this as a cover. Also, Ace Frehley wrote this in 1986.

  • WTF 1988? Original version by KISS was released in 1989...

  • Great version!

I like it more than Kiss version:) (her voice!!!!)

Who is playing on the drums here?

He is ok but in my opinion Eric Carr kicks ass after stiller part - before last pre-chorus.

  • One of my favorite song of course Bonnie s version is much better n she rocks my world too! She s the best in my heart. LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing.

  • i don't think the band is into it.

  • I always liked this song, but stepping back a bit and thinking about it... it seems like a strange song for so many major artists to cover/record.

  • so actually this is cover version, not matter if this was in bonnies album before in KISS album

  • you're right

    BONNIE covered it, not kiss

  • No, KISS covered it I'm afriad. Bonnie sang it first, so.. how could she cover it?

  • Paul Stanley wrote this song, so it's not really a cover.

  • and how could paul cover a song that he co-wrote?

  • Remember, it was Kiss that covered the song. Not just Paul.

It is three (correct me if I'm wrong) more members who didn't write the song.

(And I'm not saying Kiss is a bad band. I do think they're fantastic, really. But, I'm a fully and truly fan of Bonnie.)

  • This discussion is getting boring...

  • Well... Let's end it then.

  • ok =D

  • Paul wrote this song. Justlike It's my life. It is their song. He's part of ASCAP. Therefore all of his songs are available for covering.

  • Paul wrote the song principally, and was a song for a Bonnie album. its something like Hard Luck Woman; in the beginning was for Rod Stewart, but the song was complety wrote by Paul Stanley. well, with this song is the same. please, dont be stupid, i understand you're a fan of bonnie, but the song is not it. SORRY ABOUT MY BAD ENGLISH

  • The song was written by paul stanley, desmond child and holly knight

ace frehley, bonnie tyler and robin beck

  • Uhm, no.

  • in kiss book, they say that paul wrote the song with two other guys!!!

  • Yes, that's right. Because of that, he does NOT own the song. Bonnie sang it first. And that's IT!

  • i like this version

  • If Paul helped to write this, he can't COVER it, because he is one of the owners.

  • kiss version is better

  • ace

    kiss

    molly hatchet

    bonnie tyler

  • very good comment

  • is so much better whit kiss

    and whit ace

  • Paul Stanley did write this song with the intention to let other artists record it. That is why Bonnie Tyler put the song out in 1988 before Kiss ever recorded it. Eventually Kiss decided to put the song also on the Hot In the Shade album. This all added up makes it a 100% Kiss song.

A few more artists also recorded the song. And I think the Robin Beck version is the best and the most powerful one.

  • 1.KISS

    2.Ace Frehley

    3.Bonnie Tyler

  • Kiss : Hide Your Heart

    Songwriters: Knight, Holly; Stanley, Paul; Child, Desmond;

    paul stanley=kiss

Hot in the Shade is a Kiss album released in 1989 include Hide Your Heart

    stupid

  • "Hide Your Heart" has been covered by Molly Hatchet, Ace Frehley, Bonnie Tyler and Robin Beck.

  • Paul Stanley wrote this song, dumbass, so he is the original owner of it

  • just for the record. bonnie tyler was the first to sing this song

  • @Germansexylatin

maybe, but this song was made by paul stanley and Desmond Child.

  • ace also got writers credit

  • @Germansexylatin

Yea but Paul Stanley and Desmond Child had composed this?

  • I heard the ace frehley version first and KISS last. And I dont agree that KISS covered this song just because they played it after her. The only one of the three versions that really is a cover is the Ace version.

  • Because Paul Stanley wrote it is a KISS song.

  • How can Paul Stanley cover his own song, dumbass?

    Don't make stupid comments

  • Paul Stanley was ONE of the writers, he doesn't own the song. Bonnie Sang it first, and Kiss covered it, end of discussion.

  • but Paul is the best person to sing this cause he is one of the writers... bonnie didn't write this

    so paul's version is better.

  • It's not up to me to decide which is better than the other, I'm a fan of Bonnie, and naturally, I like version more. But Paul is great. No one can say anything else!

  • Ronaldo's version is better!

  • Well, it's up to you to decide wether you like or not.

  • That raspy voice is so infectious! I Love it, I smoke a pack and a half a day, a chest cheese.Bonnie rocks, and is totally underrated!

  • bonnie number 1

  • Is it my idea or does Paul sing in backing vocals?

  • I was thinking the same thing. Sounds like Paul.

  • I like all three versions

  • Thank u

  • KISS IS BETTER!!!

  • lol playback, look at this guy's stratocaster, it's not even connected to the amp o.O they suck ass

  • Bonnie pone los huevos arriba de la mesa para cantar este temazo!!! Lady Grosa!!! We want KISS!!!

  • Whats that song that starts you dont have to think twice?

  • Cool version.

  • it''s actually the original version kiss recorded one year later

  • Except Paul Stanley wrote it along with Desmond Child and Holly Knight. KISS's version is "technically" the original, just came out later. Haha. :)

  • AWESOME PERFORMANCE!!! I love it a lot this video!!!! 5*!!!!!

  • Wooow!! SHE ROCKS!!!! One of the best female artists from the 80's!!! five stars!

  • I think she's the best, and Pat Benatar and Tina Turner are also great.

  • this chick has a great voice man i get shivers!!!

  • Who wrote this song, even? Kiss or this chick?

  • it was written my paul stanely and desmond child for bonnie

  • The best version is the Ace Frehley Version, He made it at the same time KISS did it

  • No he's version is the worst, cause Bonnie Tyler and Paul Stanley are much better singers. Frehley's version lacks in emotion.

  • it may so but his voice just has a beter tone. his r's more distinctive/audible wich gives it its own greatness unmatched by bonnie or paul. pauls voice lacks the masculinity that ace's has . bonnie just doesnt have it. great singer, but just doesnt have it

  • paranormal :))

  • essa versão não ficou legal sou mais a do kiss

  • Estoy de acuerdo con sixxkagan.Escuchen la version de Robin Beck!!!

  • IMHO this is the best version! Bonnie has an incredible soul and bluesy voice...She sounds like a Black singer! I love her so much!

  • you are a copy cater kiss is better than you hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhahahahh

  • the best version of this song is the Robin Beck version

  • no its KISS

  • I don't really care for Bonnie however I love this song. I prefer KISS' version. I hate to say it but it is better then Ace's version.

  • hell ya man ace kicks ass

  • Thank U

  • You have to be kidding me. I stopped this farce at 40 seconds. Bonnie, stay with "It's a Heartache," or "Total Eclipse of the Heart." You are out of your league. But if it's any comfort, I'd still hit you 9 ways from Sunday.

  • Kiss is my favorite band, but I like Bonnie's version ^^

  • whats wrong with the audio

  • worn vhs tape haha

  • She's beautiful

  • nice try lady....

  • I didn't know that she had a version of this song. Her raspy voice really has that raw rock sound..very good! Molly Hatchet also has a version of this song also. Wonder how many other versions are out there?

  • Bonnies version 50
