  • The movie S1mone is becoming real life now.

  • The thing is that bobby is his BIG brother, so why the heck is he letting little Brian beat him up?

  • Wow, imagine the hours of mindfucking you can accomplish...

  • that is great . now tell me what I need to replace live charecters when the shot is made . ps. an extra is riding a horse and I have an actor and I want the actor face to be replaced with the extra what do I need to do so . thank you

  • nice character set ;)

  • Sir Anthony Hopkins

  • scary but cool

  • Now do that for a future Elite 4 sandbox game where you can visit multiple planets and stars and have your own avatar look that realistic. Then I will be wholly impressed.

  • anthony hopkins is that you,

  • Would like to know which and how many graphic cards they used!

  • this is begining of your end, actors!

  • @Siska0Robert actually its beginning of the end for animators.

  • Bloody hell, it looks real.

  • i love how the 2 most thumbed comments are the same

  • Thats gonna be The next Elder Scrolls graphics right there.

  • this is the future

  • LOOOL

  • GUYS this is revolutionary, if they start making games with awsome story lines they can hire actors and enhance the emotional aspect by amazing facial expressions and acting!!!!

  • @colloredbrothers We've already got that game... LA NOIRE.

  • Holy shit the rigging on that model is amazing!

  • I wish I had that job...

  • The guy on the right looks so fake!

  • Simply awesome tech yet slightly disturbing! :-)

  • Damn! If he acted "like an old man" and moved slowly and talked more gravelly, this would be even MORE realistic! AWESOME!

BTW: Yes guys - it really IS rendered in real-time. Before you make assumptions, do the research.

  • they had to put there (to the right) Jimm Carrey

  • great graphics

  • Of course brian HAS to be brown

    pffft...racists ;)

  • naaah. touch of collagen injection and botox still in there. i'd love to see a side-by-side of a real actor, and then a simulation of the same actor, done by a mo-cap actor.

  • 1 actor will make 1 thousand os chars.

  • dream make a movie with that O.O

  • It must be awesome to do this with goggles that allow to see the final product, eternal fun.

  • WOW very good :D hahahah

  • Same grap

  • Funny

  • LOL

  • Amazing, but still being perfected. there are still some problems with it.

  • Haha, that was so funny!

  • Same technology used for making Avatar?

  • ROFL

  • Thats amazing

  • two girls one cup reaction vid?

  • Woow, creepy :P

  • wow

  • This is goddamn amasing!

  • this is a video showing a old man controling the face of one young computer 3d avatar.

  • wouldn't

  • the old man is EPIC !!! I would't mess with him. when he laughs,he looks like the trololololo guy.

  • @randog69 hahahahahahhaha trolololo one hahahahh

  • in 10 years time computer games will look this good.

and people will be able to have there own face put in the game.

  • @bighands69 have you seen heavy rain game on the ps3? the graphics and face animations are the same as this one

  • 0:21 clint eastwood :D

  • future of voice acting, hope so

  • it already is

  • im pretty sure ut3 used this for there cinematics in between matches

  • what is the name of this technique?

  • @MarceloAnimador animotion

  • Wild!!!

  • I WANT!!

  • wow fantastic

  • We have to stop Big Brown Brian!!!!

  • llol

  • LOL!

  • lmao

  • wowsers that's awesome

  • great!

  • ill beat HIM with a baseball bat

  • so creepy

  • I know what you mean, keller. Something about the way it laughs still seems artificial, and the eyes as well, the emotion just doesn't seem real.

  • there's still something missing

  • Tongue movement.

  • Whoa. We have to stop big brown Brian.

  • @mavaddat shut up meg

  • we are all gonna burn in hell

  • nice

  • Amazing 3d facial expressions!!!

  • Note that old people don't have such good face muscles. Time is muscle killer.

  • but it looks amazing hahaah

  • the curious case of benjamin????????????? looks so easy

  • what is fly?

  • awesome

  • Holy shit thats amazing!

  • f******g insane, next gen games, perfect!

  • Amazing

  • WOOOOOOO

    OOOOOOOW!

  • what about the other two face?

  • yeah i knows its totally unpractical question but are they doing this on the fly? that would be impressive

  • Yes, that was all rendered on the fly.

  • FUCK ME, no chance u know the specs of the pc their using?

  • @Peench i doubt its rendered on the fly....

  • ...But can it show us his "O" face?

  • So you like real people better, that is no reason to call the maker of this a douche bag.

  • yeah something about the lips definitely doesn't look right. While cgi has come a long way, old people just don't animate so smoothly like that.

  • ...creepy O_o

  • OMG!! Its David Cooley!

  • hahahahaha this is insane

  • What Program is that? and how do i use it? cuz it seems really imperessive!

  • great animations + baaad actors make for bad films. i know this is just a test , but if this is the wave of the future , i hope they let real actors provide the expression reference.

  • coz acting is more natural... ;p

  • God ,that realy impressive !!! Only with a good animation the model look like real !!

  • thats awsome

  • fantastic. utterly fantastic

  • sweer

  • awesome

  • I WANT THAT PROGRAM JUST FREAKIN AWESOME *cough* george bush *cough*

  • Real time :D

  • AMAZING

  • Wow! incredible.

I suppose that is a rendererd model..

  • it was rendered on the fly.

  • @Peench you must have a pretty big rendering farm =P

  • holy crap that is awesome

  • thats cool!!!

  • sweet

  • I love this!

    Awesome

  • I guess they did something like this for Benjamin Button?

  • you cannot break the eyes perception down to fps. go back to school

  • i can be,sure.

But it doesnt change the fact that its too smooth to be convincing enough.

  • @peterbriers

    wat

  • Yeah, I see the pixels as well, I've seen quite a few shops in my day.

  • lol.. , you win the internet

  • lmfao

  • no it's not dumbass

  • I thought obvious troll was obvious. -9 karma. sweet.

  • think he was joking?

  • cool but too many fps , should be less cause its too smooth ,smoother than real life

  • Huh? Yeah because real life is at like 20 fps, right? Admit it, you don't even know what fps is! lol.

  • not 20 asshole ,why you even start to arguin moron if you dont have a clue and didnt tested,if it looks ok for you then youre in another league of viewers,go play more 3d games and 6000000 fps.

  • Actually, the brain only interprets at about 4 fps. Interestingly, the eyes (or rather, the nerves between the eyes and the brain) do a lot of pre-processing. The nerves that connect the eyes to the brain actually grow straight out of the brain. They started off as brain cells! How cool is that?

  • Oh, that's right, blame it all on Bobby because he's big and brown, racist bastards!

  • big brown brian hits hits big brother bobby with the baseball bat!

  • big bad who? beats what? with the baseball bat???

  • Big Brown Byran Beats His Big Brother Bobby With A Baseball Bat.

  • thanks

  • your welcome! :-) And I meant to type the name Bryan, not Byran ( it was a slight typo)

  • lol.. i ddnt notice

  • ok :-)

  • lol it totally is Anthony Hopkins. very awesome.

  • true!

  • Thats what I was thinking. lol

  • MoCaps are cool. It's amazing that all you need is a few points for motion capture except for the face area where it requires nearly 10 times as many point of reference.

  • Awesome.

  • theyve used something similar for Quake 4 for some cut-scenes (search for making of Quake 4)

  • that's really sick!

  • the 3d is Antony Hopkins 3d representation for the Beoulf movie :) nice , also it was modeled and detailed in Zbrush

  • Incredible!

  • Great!

  • AWESOME

  • This looks amazing. its getting to the point where you wouldnt notice he was fake at a first glance

  • irt looks so real! :D

  • could we be climbing out of the uncanny valley?

  • No not yet, thats right in the uncanny valley. In fact I believe its so close of reality that were in the bottom of it.

  • Even though this looks pretty cool, I'd rather have the weird ladybug guy wherever this engine is used, he just looks better.

  • Looks really awesome!

This thing should be used more often...

  • Actually the earlier d00d was right.

The mouth is a little big, making it look cartoonish, other than that it's super epic awesome :D

  • i agree aswell

  • This is kinda what they did for that movie, Beowulf.

  • amazing

  • this is how they did the movie beowulf

  • This is realtime rendering, iv'e seen real Motion Capture systems in use, this is by far the best iv'e seen. Lightning fast response time on the MoCap and great resolution on the cams to be able to pick up the smallest actor movements.

  • this is not a realtime rendering.

    so nothing really special

  • This is amazing, I can't believe my eyes

  • i cant believe Big Brown Brian would do such a thing!

  • that's so graphically intense

  • meteotrance, what do you mean "the size of the mouth and the aspect of the teeth is always horrible", you f*cking idiot, this looks like a real old man. your a f*ckin retard. try to do it better instead of posting your smartass sh*t

  • lol the old guy looks funny caus it looks so real-3d-ish

  • funny

  • dats pretty cool

  • by by uncanny valley....

will hopefully be a thing of the past soon.

  • LOL you guys can stop saying that, it's the second time. Although this comment makes sense :D I am so happy.

  • gawd i wish i werent so knew at this

  • the size of the mouth and the aspect of the teeth is always horrible but the skin material and muscle animation is awesome
