  • I tried my best not to move, listening to this. But I can't!

  • Motivo orecchiabile...

  • Very raw and powerful. Great post.

  • fantastic, I see where the rollings stones get it from it, george harrison was a great fan as well you hear where he got his slide technique on "dust my broom" and hendrix stole some of the lines here, they all love this guy.....classic blues.....one of the forefathers.

  • porky chedwick on WAMO 860 AM radio wasn't afraid to play it

  • Oh so wonderful!

  • They had money makers in the fifties.

  • @eddie486us goes back to the stone age dude....

  • this is elmore james singing and playing shake your money maker with some muscians who were available and a truely great sound they made.

  • can´t I copy another YT-clip to this?

    YT sucks.

  • Why?

  • Come on, fix your typo in the title. It looks ridiculous and that sucks cause Elmore is the best.

  • @Pj0tter Great, it's fixed! :D

  • @Pj0tter what did u mean?

  • @DanFindling Title was: Shake You Money Maker

  • @Pj0tter oh

  • you can also hear this song played by the Guanabatz ,a good psychobilly band from england.they recognize to the great masters of blues like all the good bands who plays at the rockabilly scene.....i love this song since i was 15....now i´m 45

  • Everyone should listen to Clapton and Beck covering this at the Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010.

  • @TheRealRayJ I've heard it, and sucks big monkey balls... Clapton is a phoney white boy from england, a rich kid who never experienced the blues. He was born with the silver spoon and his playing displays this. Elmore james is the real deal.

  • @BlackSheepParty Rubbish! Where did you learn such codswallop. Your just a rich kid who cannot play on Clapton's par despite owning a silver guitar. Clapton's twice black alright, once being poor, once being white. Elmore James is the real deal, Eric Clapton deals the real.

  • @xiaun I have never owned a silver guitar, if I did I would have to pawn it to pay the electric bill. However I also know that eric clapton never stepped foot in a juke joint in jim crow south. I know that Eric Clapton has never had to run from racist pigs for his life. I know that eric clapton has never had to worry about money... It takes more than a pentetonic scale and a melodic minor scale to play the blues my friend. EC is as far removed from the blues as pat boone is from rock and rol

  • @BlackSheepParty CHOKE ON A COCK YOU JEALOUS FAG

  • @bbnatedogg Jealous of WHAT? A phoney? I don't think so...

  • @BlackSheepParty IT'S "PHONY" YOU ILLITERATE SHIT STAIN! JEALOUS THAT YOU CAN'T PLAY FOR SHIT AND THAT NOBODY LOOKS AT YOU AS AN EXAMPLE EXCEPT FOR WHAT NOT TO BE

  • @bbnatedogg You seem to think having weirdos (you've never met) adore you to be a desirable thing.

I speak from experience when I tell you, that Happiness comes from within and not from other people's perception of who you are. One thing I can tell you is that people Like Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney and many others are terrified by the thought of having to be around obsessed fans like you. They spend Millions of dollars per year to make sure it never happens.

  • @BlackSheepParty CLAPTON IS THE SHITTIEST SHIT EVER,,THE ONLY REASON PPL LIKE HIM IS CUZ THE MUSIC MEDIA TELLS YOU TO,,,HE CAN PLAY HIS BOX NO DOUBT,I WONT DENY HIM THAT,,BUT JUST CUZ HE WAS IN CREAM,,DOESNT MEAN SHIT,,,HIS VOICE IS THAT OF A CREEPY MOLESTER,,,

  • @bostonironworker1 What does COFFEE, ERIC CLAPTON and GINGER BAKER all have in common?

Answer: They all suck with out cream

  • @BlackSheepParty pro fag

  • @LilSqkratch What next? I guess you expect me to follow up with something like "UR gay"? Come on man, it's 2011. Stop the hate towards blacks, gays and others. The days of Mississippi Jim Crow 1960 are over. get with the times. Racism is ugly. SO why do you wish to keep spreading it?

  • @BlackSheepParty ur gay

  • @BlackSheepParty yeah that's why no one wishes they could play like Ginger and Eric.

    and black coffee is fine.

  • @TheAzmountaineer I never said people don't try to emulate EC or ginger Baker. But come on, people also emulate Britney Spears... it means nothing. Youtube's "FRED" has a huge following too, but that don't mean his content has any substance. Some of the lamest "celebrities" have a following.

  • @BlackSheepParty HOW THE FUUUUUUCK can you try to emulate britney spears? lol, what was it 27 song writers and 13 producers on her last album? how many were her? not a single.

  • @MrTrickydick666 I'm not sure what you are trying to say do to the typos, but there are many wanna be singer dancers who love Britney. I wish it wasn't true... but it is what it is.

  • @BlackSheepParty Well, I see what you're sayin, but there's a big difference. We're not talking 15 yr old bimbos here. Lots - LOTS - of very talented musicians, famous and not so famous, admire Eric and Ginger, try to emulate them, and can't do it. Jeez, the longer I play guitar, the more I'm in awe of what they do. and Elmore, too, don't get me wrong.

  • @TheAzmountaineer i find the more you learn on guitar makes you realize just what these guys do that makes them so great, because to the average person steve vai seems a million times better than clapton or page or hendrix but as you go back you can see the little things they did that and the things they pioneered that made them so great

  • @NintendoSinceBirth1 agreed! The more I learn, the more I find that I need to learn. and I've been playing off and on for 40 years. These people that say Clapton is lame should maybe post some of their own playing so we can see how well qualified they are to make a claim like that.

  • I Love This song

  • really awsome song !!!

  • really awsome song !!!

  • Bishop and Bloomfield learned well from the master!!

  • This song's got the juice in every note.

  • "Shake your money maker..." he's not talking to the maracas player in his band, is he?

  • Don't ya love it when you can have THE GOOD BLUES! Not all blues are to make you cry.

  • If I could sing like anyone else it would be Elmo!

  • nice.... blues, metal, and rock n roll are the best songs to me!!

  • Check out Fleetwood Mac's cover of this tune. You would never think they would have done such a good job of it.

  • @Paulsworks

    Thats a funny one.

  • if god never made music, we would live in a daed world, think about it , it would be a sad place. thank god for music.

  • @TheTrigger900

Thank god for music? Where is a song by God we can all listen too? There isn't any because PEOPLE make the music. God is nothing more than an imaginary friend for the simple- minded like you.

  • @HoboGus god made all things , even fucks like you. dumb ass.

  • @TheTrigger900 god made jack shit

  • @Reallyhoopy2 yeah, when god made you he said lets drop him on hie head, that why every thing that come out is nothing but shit.

  • @TheTrigger900 god must be a fantastic character

  • also look under you tube:

    Shake that Moneymaker-elmore james cover

  • One of guitar greats!

  • I love Elmore James!

  • If it wasn't for this music, what would people like us be listening to today?

  • @eternalrabbit people like you...jks I dread to think

  • Elmore SO fine

  • Elmore SO fine

  • 2 dislikes, some one ain't got no ears.

  • @mpo1107 ain't got no ears is you!

  • Could someone bring blues to Holland? My generation is lost in a age with soulless music (Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga etc.) and everyday I'm singing the 'lost-my-baby-(the music)-blues'.

  • @Mulismijnachternaam ik houd van blues! :D

  • I never heard better dancing music.

  • Without Elmore there would be no Duane Allman

  • @bluesboy25000 Or Clapton, or Jimmy Page, or Alvin Lee- the list goes on and on.

  • Recorded at Cosimo's New Orleans, Summer 1961. Producer Bobby Robinson. 1st released on Fire 504 with Look On Yonder Wall on the flip.

  • looking for hawaiian boogie by elmore.. any ideas?

  • Here is another great blues song!!! Raw, gritty, and sexy.

  • Elmore James is like steak and potatoes with vegetables. It tastes good and is good for you. Some music is like cotton candy but never Elmore James.

  • @missionrd100 please tell me how listening to house music can possibly harm physical or mental health?

  • @justWatchin97 I would tell you if that is what I said. But since I didn't say that; I don't know what you are talking about. Don't worry about what you think I said. Just let it go.

  • Money maker = ass ;)

  • Can anyone provide a precise definition of "money maker"?

  • I have this on Fire 45 backed/Look on Yonder Wall...you wouldn't believe the sound on the jukebox.

  • i gotta learn this for my guitar lesson n i didnt have a clue about it until now its great

  • best

  • TY for posting this! Elmore was one of the very first bluesmen I heard and still one of my faves. I actually found one of his albums in a south side Chicago supermarket for a dollar! The one with Hawaiian Boogie and Sho 'Nuff I Do on it...

  • This is the bollocks ! This is what the kids need ! Ship 5 million copies to Europe - NOW !

  • @JSavic I'm 16, I agree totally.

  • @szatter123 Some people are born empty of music & get "filled" by the commercial media & end up as Britney Spears fans. But you (& me) we were hard-wired for the blues !

  • @JSavic Very well put indeed (:

  • @JSavic Or Lady Gaga - barf-o-rama

  • @szatter123 Check out Hound Dog Taylor & Casey Bill Weldon

  • Just compareing this with the Fleetwood Mac version... No CONTEST...go Elmore..........

  • @TimBSL Agree. I absolutely love blues covers by early Fleetwood Mac with Green and Spencer; but nothing comes close to this.

  • i don't believe it... i've never heard this song before, and this way to play a shuffle blues (so straight but exact on the point) is exactly the way i use to play blues

  • I've actually got a gal that won't be true, and a gal that will. But even the one who isn't true won't do a thing I tell her too; it's not just the sexy cheating ones who won't mind, it's the frumpy true ones.

Somewhere Gloria Steinem is doing a big 'thumbs up' sign.

  • THE BEST BLUES ELMORE /DANS LA LIGNEE DE JOHN LEE HOOKER UN GRAND UN TRES GRAND / SON MEILLEUR ALBUM ,CELUI OU SUR LA POCHETTE IL Y AS UNE VIEILLE CHAUSSURE NOIRE /J'AI L'ORIGINAL UN REGAL BLUEZY GENIAL JAMES !!! inoubliable !!

  • One of the most wild swinging song, period !! And his voice-like a hunting dog. Great ! The best !!

  • What a voice, what a great sound. It never grows old.

  • One of the many son's of Robert Johnson. Great song.

  • He had no relation to Robert Johnson. But if you mean musicly wise I do agree.

  • @dixoin56 Son's of Robert Johnson?Elmore did his own thing.

  • Because it was recorded in the 50s. I think theres nothing wrong with it, just gives it even more of a blues feel.

  • Listen to that then mate......

  • go listen to your cd.

  • @Ranzefinaleight Actually recorded in 1961, but yeah.
