I think the reason they would choose Johnny Test would be because it's cheaper than this classic style. Johnny Test's animation is simple Flash with copy/pastes everywhere. Not saying it's a good reason, I hate Johnny Test and the narrative and comedic style seems like it was written by chimps; but, budget wise, Johnny Test would win. 2008 was also a time where CN was taking a transition and risk for a change in their programming. Some decisions were good, others, like JT, weren't.

Both this Plastic Man and the Brave and the Bold's Plastic Man are voiced by Tom Kenny (one of my favoret actors), which I find really appropriate. Though I can see why I've never seen this on TV. He said something that only a few cartoons are allowed to say at the end.

Good pilot, but I can't help but feel like you're being a bit conceited... there's no way of telling if this show would be a success or not. Kids don't really appreciate animation as much as they used to (in my opinion). They're more about stupid wacky OMGSORANDOM!! jokes, memes, and flashy stuff. That's what CN goes for.

In my opinion, I'd much rather see this than Johnny Test... but again. There's no way of knowing what would happen.

the main concern is that its very spunkco, its not a sellable style animore. it worked for ren and stimpy but there history with this animation style most likely is the reason. plasticman is still on brave and the bold...and the same voice and comedy so we know it works its the animation thats not sellable with a superhero

Amazing pilot, but I agree that the reason may have been over money or lack of faith that a show about a lesser-known superhero would have done well, rather than ineptitude on CN's part. They gave us Adventure Time and BaTB, and hey, I actually like Flapjack and Chowder (and Johnny Test isn't as bad as people make it out to be).

Flash isn't as bad as people say, either. Venture Bros. and Metalocalypse are done in Flash, and they look lovely.

@Devilot109 Yeah, I do find it odd that they choose L.O.S.E instead of A: Classic Hanna Barbara Cartoon, Wacky Races Remake or B: A nicely cartoonish Plastic man. I don't know if I am getting old, but these cartoons they have now such as, Almost Naked Animals and Sidekick, are nothing compared to the classic cartoon powerhouses like Edd Ed and Eddy, Johnny Bravo, and even the PowerPuff Girls.I guess they still have a lot to learn, just like how they need to learn real life shows on CN suck.
