i also have it.... i also take chlomipramine (also known as anafranel) which is a very cheap anti-depressant which just happens to negate cataplexy. if you have this illness and haven't tried this drug, you don't know what you're missing. it's changed my life.... no joke-- (a month's prescription is only around $10.)
ive had cataplexy for yrs but never knew what was wrong with me my doctors suck big time and when i tried to explaine to them they didnt know what i was talking about and they just looked at me like i was crazy!!! so thanks to google and youtube i finally found out i have cataplexy but i still dont know anything about it!
@brittanylmg112289 I have it too! I find it hilarious ! Because my fiance always uses it to scare the shit out of hid friends . And Im totally okay with it because I like scaring them too
Trust me. I've been a full blown cataplectic for 24 years. Their friend is laughing WITH them and most likely harder than they are. What can we say....God only gives special people special gifts...:)
@InvisibleKathy I think this is my first ever response to someone on Youtube. I love your comment. I have Narcolepsy with Cataplexy and it concerns strangers more than my friends and my friends more than my family. When you are close to someone with this, you understand it more and then you learn to adjust and keep your humor through it. I appreciate the "God only gives special people special gifts".
laughter is the best medicine....even if it causes it. I know I have it. You gotta embrace it and the ones not willing to well there not worth your time. Thats awesome with the link thing cuz I'd do the same thing....been wanting to get it on camera for a long time but nobody thinks to do it whenever anyone thinks or a cameras already out i will have a link on my facebook cuz im not ashamed of who i am and in all reality it is funny! KUDOs to you screw everyone else you have a good support
one thing with my son is when hes down -- telling him jokes/stories gets him to relax a bit --no matter what caused the trigger--nothing like laying there stuck unable to move--the laughing will get old
FYI, to those of you feeling sorry for her (my niece), she was the one that posted a link to this on her Facebook, and she was pretty excited when she found out it had over 4000 views. I think she's ok with it.
