John 3:13, "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of man who is in heaven." Yet, most Christians believe that immediately upon death a person's soul wafts off to heaven. There is absolutely NO scripture in the entire Bible that promises Heaven!
Those people were lucky. Sadly it's very rare to have those experiences, most people just pass out and regain consciousness when they're resuscitated. And have you noticed that these so-called experiences always happen in hospitals? While they're on err..drugs? It seems like the best we can hope for is that we die in hospitals and are among those very,very few who respond to the drugs (or the faulty administration of them) in this way. If we're christians we'll think it's the after-life,hehe!: )
it's probably because when your brain is lacking enough blood, you are in a state where you can die very soon if not recuperated quickly. so i bet these experiences happen regardless of whether its in the hospital or not, but if youre in that critical state and you're not at the hospital to receive treatment, then you wont live to tell the tale. they happen at the hospital cause the people who werent at the hospital when it happened are dead
I enjoy a good fantasy... seems if you live in this world everyday, you want something extraordinary to elevate us. Death chique is a post modern phenomenon; a way forward from grief. How dying and death became pessimistic... I'm not talking about advancing disease and suffering... but the living dealing with loss, and by proxy dealing with their own mortality. Who you can love, share joy and be there for the same people in bad times... Life is for the living, take time and be there. Live.
@lilogoodboi That humans should live forever? That there is a place that exists for the purpose of housing human that are physically dead in this world, but alive somewhere else? I find it an interesting premise; but the reality is the human being who becomes a corpse. All the other features are puzzling. What if death was the End? You just die after you no longer can live. @k0smon I guess a more politically correct way of saying what I said would have been "There is no reason to believe there is a hell", although that doesn't have the same kind of punch. But really, the greatest reason to disbelieve has to be the lack of a reason to believe. If you think you have a reason to believe then please share and I'll be happy to respond with my thoughts.

The biblical rendition of hell is not accurate. Hells are not 'fire', but miserable conditions. And they do not last forever. Since there is justice in the afterlife, that is a reason for their existence.
@k0smon Again, I'm not interested in someones belief in what an afterlife could be like, I'm only interested in why I should believe what they're saying has anything to it. Unfortunately, saying it must be true because otherwise there would be no justice isn't sufficient to determining weather or not that something is true. Life can, and has, been shown through easily repeatable experiments to come from non-living matter. Check out the Miller-Urey experiments for a grand example of this.

People dont need to be born again, they need to grow up. Several of my relatives who died have come back to me in dreams and they werent Christians and theyre not in hell.

I've had an OBE experience and then a vision of Hell when I never even thought about such things before. I was completely horrified and depressed for days and days. Children have not yet reached the age of accountability yet, so they immediately go to Heaven to be with God. However, for adults, the only way to Heaven is by repenting of your sins and following Jesus Christ. Sin cannot enter into Heaven. We need our sins to be covered in the blood of Jesus Christ to be saved. Otherwise, no matter how many people say they've been to Heaven, if they were not true Christians, it was just a deception from Satan (the angel of light).

If, supposedly it is just lack of oxygen that causes the white light and feeling of floating, then how is it possible for people to see what was happening to there dead bodies. I have read countless reports of people reporting exactly what occured in the operating room or other place they died at. That doesn't happen from lack of oxygen now does it? "Every eye shall see, every knee shall bow".
All the people who go through these tunnels claim scripture don't matter or there will be no judgment at the end of time ..completely contrary to what the bible has to say. They are never told to seek Jesus etc..These people were in hell, not heaven. Even the name Lucifer means "bringer of light". Anything that rejects Christ is of Satan, Satan is the deceiver/imitator. Even Muslims claim they go down a bright tunnel toward a bright light ...most claim they wound up in hell.

The bible having been written more than 5000 years ago and Pangaea not discovered to even have existed until this century leaves us to question how could anyone have even known of it's existence ...same issues with dinosaurs. they were described in the old testament but no one has ever seen a live one. They weren't discovered until 1840's. How??????

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the Life not man come to the father but by me". However many choose not to believe it. That is their choice. Not believing leaves you right there alway in unbelief , while those who believe go on to see more of what God has. And they could never convince others because they hold onto unbelief.
How can you be sure which religion is right and which is wrong? Since "God" never reveals himself there's no real proof to it. Does that make other religions wrong, too? There are fulfilled prophecies in other religions indeed, too. For example, the Buddha did reveal the small particle now known as the atom, as well as the big bang. So is there a proof to Christianity from a non-bias resource?

I can also make the case that all other religions are simply twisted versions of what was once Judaism/old testament teachings. So it's not far fetched for Islam or Buddhism or Greek mythology to have portions of changed Christian prophecy in them. i.e. Zeus caused a massive world wide flood. There are many cases of world wide floods destroying man in many religions around the world. I maintain the source is ancient Christian/Jewish texts.
People that see a hell in these NDE's are infact seeing what thier subconscious mind has generated; a kind of halucination after death. Part of your subconscious is still active in spirit immediately after you die. It will produce a vision of whatever you are fearing. It will create a vision of your fears and that is why some people see these disturbing things.
Logically, a true hell or satan enity cannot exist in the afterlife.

Those people were lucky. Sadly it's very rare to have those experiences, most people just pass out and regain consciousness when they're resuscitated. And have you noticed that these so-called experiences always happen in hospitals? While they're on err..drugs? It seems like the best we can hope for is that we die in hospitals and are among those very,very few who respond to the drugs (or the faulty administration of them) in this way. If we're christians we'll think it's the after-life,hehe!: )

The biblical rendition of hell is not accurate. Hells are not 'fire', but miserable conditions. And they do not last forever. Since there is justice in the afterlife, that is a reason for their existence.

Children have not yet reached the age of accountability yet, so they immediately go to Heaven to be with God. However, for adults, the only way to Heaven is by repenting of your sins and following Jesus Christ. Sin cannot enter into Heaven. We need our sins to be covered in the blood of Jesus Christ to be saved. Otherwise, no matter how many people say they've been to Heaven, if they were not true Christians, it was just a deception from Satan (the angel of light).

If, supposedly it is just lack of oxygen that causes the white light and feeling of floating, then how is it possible for people to see what was happening to there dead bodies. I have read countless reports of people reporting exactly what occured in the operating room or other place they died at. That doesn't happen from lack of oxygen now does it? All the people who go through these tunnels claim scripture don't matter or there will be no judgment at the end of time ..completely contrary to what the bible has to say. They are never told to seek Jesus etc..These people were in hell, not heaven. Even the name Lucifer means "bringer of light". Anything that rejects Christ is of Satan, Satan is the deceiver/imitator. It may not have the "name" Pangaea but it is the technical, clinical description of what Geologists know of Pangaea described in one paragraph. The bible having been written more than 5000 years ago and Pangaea not discovered to even have existed until this century leaves us to question how could anyone have even known of it's existence ...same issues with dinosaurs. they were described in the old testament but no one has ever seen a live one. They weren't discovered until 1840's. How??????

well there is a problem in your argument. You are using the bible to prove other religions wrong. Let's say the qua'ran (not sure of spelling) of Islam says that, too. Does that make other religions wrong, too? There are fulfilled prophecies in other religions indeed, too. For example, the Buddha did reveal the small particle now known as the atom, as well as the big bang. So is there a proof to Christianity from a non-bias resource?

I can also make the case that all other religions are simply twisted versions of what was once Judaism/old testament teachings. So it's not far fetched for Islam or Buddhism or Greek mythology to have portions of changed Christian prophecy in them. i.e. Zeus caused a massive world wide flood. People that see a hell in these NDE's are infact seeing what thier subconscious mind has generated; a kind of halucination after death. Part of your subconscious is still active in spirit immediately after you die. It will produce a vision of whatever you are fearing. It will create a vision of your fears and that is why some people see these disturbing things.
Logically, a true hell or satan enity cannot exist in the afterlife.

We really never die, we are forever apart of the universe comprised of atoms and matter. We go through a cycle almost like the concept of reincarnation, but not in some aspects of it. We forever recycle, recycle but things move through time slow and gradual in space and the cycle takes time. You should focus more in your dreams, cuz for a while when you die we live in a dream world where we create our own world, whether its heaven or hell, or plain darkness. But in sometime you return.
