  • blow her back out all nite loooong

  • Were they possibly the greatest musical duo of all time? I think so. I agree with @layoutzz too.

  • Ike could play the hell out of a guitar and he really works it on this song. It's a crying shame that he was crazy.

  • @layoutzz So true, such a shame.

  • @ivanpavicic1 and @NaturalPerfumery ... Muddy recorded a version in 1956 based on a song by Lil' Son Jackson. BB's version came out in 1964, it was a little different than Muddy's, and it was based on Lil' Son Jackson's song, too. So all of them -- BB, Muddy, and Lil' Son deserve credit for this great song. And Tina sings the hell out of it!

  • like this version!!

  • this a bad ass song the drumline is the truth this song was made way before i was born but i still think its a hit

  • awesome!

  • The most dynamic female soul singer in the history of the music!

  • he mighta been a wife beater but ike could play that guitar too bad he such a son of a bitch

  • No bone! That says it all. Yessir!

  • Ike laid it down a cross between Rock Me and King Bee.

  • no way.. original ong's by Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, who invented Rock & Roll yet never inducted into the Hall of Fame, those copying him were. His great blues too, covered by (the short list) Etta James, Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Johnny Winter, BB King, Paul Butterfield, Big Mama Thornton, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Canned Heat and Creedence Clearwater Revival) AND AFTER ALL HE CONTRIBUTED AND INSPIRED, HE WAS (((NEVER))) PAID A ROYALTY - EVER. HE LIVED POOR AND DIED POOR

  • BLUE CHEER recorded this song in '69, you might check it out

  • This is my favorite song by Ike and Tina--it just doesn't get any better than this.

  • My apologies Natural Perfumery You're absolutely right B.B. did do the original although they mention in 1940 Big Bill Broonzy did it first in Google. B.B.'s was more mainstream probably.

  • I love King , but I love Ike and Tina's version a lil better, thanks for the post

  • @catdog420, I'm tellin' ya. BB is *the* man, but Ike and Tina turned this song inside out. It's just fabulous.

  • @layoutzz I love BB King , and I am not really usually a big fan of covers , but I love the covers Ike and Tina have done (BB'sRock Me Baby, Jimmy Reeds "You Got Me Runnin" , "3 oclock in the morning" , "Its a Mean old world " and the Stones "Honky Tonk Woman" to name a few !
